MBA Courses at The University of Queensland

All international applicants must fulfill the University of Queensland MBA admission requirements listed below to secure admission:

• A bachelor's degree;
• A GPA of 4.5 on a 7-point scale;
• Work experience in supervisory/management roles;
• Overall IELTS score 6.5 or equivalent; and
• A minimum GMAT score of 550.

The duration of the University of Queensland MBA program is 1 year (full-time). International students can apply for the programme by 10 Jul, 2026 for semester 2.

The PG Diploma and PG Certificate offer students alternative pathways to the MBA. Students can apply for the programme by meeting the admission criteria.

The scholarship application for MBA scholarship at the Uni of Queensland will open from Aug 1, 2026. This scholarship is for international students. This is offered as per the academic merit. Duration of the scholarship is 18 months. The scholarship value is 25% off the tuition fees.

Prerequisites

• A bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in any discipline

• Must have a grade point average (GPA) of 4.5 on a 7-point scale in your previous qualification

• International applicants must have completed the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) with a minimum score of 550

Additional application requirements

• Official transcripts of previous studies

• Work experience including details of management experience

• Two written references that are work-related

English proficiency

• IELTS Academic - overall 6.5; reading 6; writing 6; speaking 6; listening 6. For other English Language Proficiency Tests and Scores approved for UQ

• TOEFL IBT - Overall 87, listening 19, reading 19, writing 21, and speaking 19.

• TOEFL PB - Overall 570, listening 54, reading 54, writing 59/5.

• Pearson Academic- Overall Score 64, and 60 in all sub-bands.
