Great education as well as infrastructure
Tips: For my specific course, i.e Meng Software Engineering, students who are transitioning from a different field other than software engineering should practice javascript and reactjs before joining as this would be helpful to them in the future in their courses. The university provides really good infrastructure and opportunities for the students to grow academically as well as personally.
Likes (Student Life): The student life is excellent at Western University. The university organizes a lot of events each week and offers many chances for the students to be a part of such events. Some of the events include the weekly Global Cafe sessions which provide a great way for the international students to network and spend quality time with each other to make meaningful connections. Many sports events as well as social events are organized each week.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): The placements highly depend on the skills of an individual. The university has a good reputation among employers in Canada. However, students may face a bit of difficulty in finding jobs in the current scenario of recession where companies have been doing layoffs. But, this situation will get better in the future. The employers usually offer salary packages of around 60000 CAD but these vary upon one's experience and skills.

Tips: Before you select your preferred major, allow yourself to experiment with the array of courses and options available in your undergrad. This would allow you to explore your interests and potential and you might find a course that you love. It might also help you in making up your mind.
Dislikes (Part time work): Part time jobs are not as easily available especially if you are an international student. Our work permit barely allows us to cover an adequate number of hours which makes it difficult to pursue a part time job that will actually make a difference in terms of finances.
