Applicants who are applying to a graduate program must present a 4 year Bachelor’s degree or completion of a 3 year Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree

Applicants who are currently residing in Canada and would like to apply to a graduate program and who hold a 3 year degree from India and the All India Senior School Certificate or the Indian School Certificate would be required to complete one full year (5 full courses) of undergraduate work at the 3000 and 4000 level

Applicants must have graduated with an Honours undergraduate degree or equivalent (typically a four-year full-time program) from a recognized post-secondary institution

Applicants must have graduated from a recognized postsecondary institution holding an honours degree or equivalent

Undergraduate degrees not designated as honours degrees may be acceptable as the equivalent of an undergraduate honours degree if they contain a minimum of 120 credits (typically, a four-year program with full time enrolment) including the completion of a minimum of 6 credits at the fourth-year level at an accredited postsecondary institution

If Applicants completed their undergraduate or master’s studies outside Canada, they may need to complete additional courses to qualify for admission to a graduate program at York. Please contact the relevant program office for more information

A minimum grade point average (GPA) of at least a “B” or equivalent, is required. Most programs require at least a “B+” or equivalent. Your GPA is assessed over the last two years of undergraduate study (full time, or equivalent); or, if you have a master’s degree, we will use your highest level of education to calculate your GPA

Grade Equivalent
The grade equivalent is based on a mid B standing only. The selected program may require a higher grade.
B equivalent: First Class Division
