MBA - Batch of 2026

Expensive tuition but friendly people.
Tips: I realised the importance of networking and ups killing myself as much as I possibly can and that has helped me see results which is what I would suggest to anyone planning on coming to HEC as if you want to be noticed here, you will have to stand out in a very competitive and academic environment. Professors here are well known and the learning is very industry centric as well. Tuition can be expensive.

Very valuable experience.
Tips: The best part of studying here is the network and exposure. Almost everyone here has come with a goal in mind and group projects are when you. Can truly unleash your creativity. Administration work can sometimes take longer than in other countries and speaking basic French is a must to get around. Satisfied with the quality of education.

Challenging but helpful.
Tips: I have become more self assured and disciplined after coming here as the pace of work university can be quite intense. The university is very global so there are a lot of different cultures and ethnicities including Indians. Getting admitted here was one part of the challenge as the real work starts once you come here but the lessons you learn and experience you will gain will be helpful.
Dislikes (Part time work): I rated 2 on part time jobs as spots on campus are limited and get filled quite fast as those are the most sought after and convenient ones and everyone wants one. For part time work outside of campus, you'll have to be absolutely fluent in French which poses a hindrance.

Less work life balance.
Tips: I did experience some culture shock as there were linguistic barriers but this is mostly outside of campus as within the university, it feels like a typical college experience but with a lot more diversity and expectations. Make sure your foundations are sorted as the classes tend to move along fast and grading is kind of strict for some programs.

MBA - Batch of 2025

Good academics, poor career service, disappointing ROI - My HEC experience,
Tips: Have a clear idea about the role, industry, and location where you want to work. There are not many English-speaking job opportunities in Paris, and the same is true for many other European countries. The college has been increasing its enrollment consistently every year. It's a lot of investment, and apart from studies to an extent, college life, sports, etc., there's no other major value added or ROI. The most significant paint point is that the HEC Talent team, responsible for grooming you and helping you get jobs, is not very helpful. The quality of support, guidance, and talent events is below par. You have to do everything on your own. At the end of the day, all that matters is a job, and having such a bad talent team is just the same. They don't have enough corporate tie-ups. For a top college, they can have more connections in the corporate world. The job market and salaries in Europe are, anyway, depressed. The other most significant paint points are the French administration and language. They are slow, and the overall procedure of getting anything done is complex. Most professors are knowledgeable and highly qualified. There are nice things like Station F, CDL, etc., that help you explore beyond academics. The college campus is simply beautiful. The rooms are small, but that's okay. No restaurant on campus. No dinner is served in the cafeteria, only lunch. The sports facilities are nice. The MBAT tournament is fun. I would not recommend the college to anyone, simply because they don't groom you or provide enough support to get a job.
Likes (Safety): I've always felt safe on and around the HEC Paris campus. There are cameras at most entry points, with the exception, the hostel, the buildings, etc. There's campus security, which I think are 2-3 guards for a huge campus. The students are generally well-behaved, so there's no threat to security. I wouldn't say the college does anything exceptional or extra from a security standpoint. It's just safe in general.
Dislikes (Part time work): The HEC college is in a village 30 minutes from Paris. I found there are no part-time job options nearby. I don't know anyone MBAs or Master's students who work part-time. Some students do online work, but I found nothing physical in the area. I don't think it's possible to do any part-time work while in the MBA program. You just won't get the time.

There are no part-time opportunities available on campus.
Tips: I am who I am personally and professionally because of the things I've learned at college. From living by myself, putting myself out of my comfort zone, and managing my finances. You get shortlisted for scholarships once you've been admitted into the college, is there is no separate application as such. I got the women's high-potential scholarship upon admission, without even applying. However, for Indians, you can apply for the Eiffel scholarship, which is via the government, but I'm not too sure. Overall, I am 100/100 satisfied with the overall experience at the college.
Likes (Safety): There is enough security on campus, and more than that, you're always surrounded by your friends, living in the same/building across you. The campus is 35 km away from the city of Paris, so it is like a little bubble you're living in, with everyone studying at HEC Paris.
Dislikes (Part time work): There are no part-time opportunities available on campus. Additionally, the college does not permit part-time job opportunities because of the hectic academic schedule. Off-campus opportunities are also not feasible as public transport to and fro the campus takes an hour plus.

The university is good with great faculty and warm and friendly environment.
Tips: Before you join, you should know that the courses are very hectic, and you should always be more prepared than under-prepared. Also, there are various scholarships offered, and I got the Excellence scholarship worth 10000 Euros. Overall, I am satisfied with the course and the college.
Likes (Post study jobs): After graduating from HEC Paris, I was able to secure a work visa in France. I was also able to get a visa to work in the UK. Most UK companies sponsor visas for work. However, getting a work visa in any European country is not a hurdle. Jobs like Investment Banking, Equity Research, Sales, and Trading are common in my course.
Dislikes (Part time work): We can't do part-time work because the course is very hectic. Academics demand a lot of time; the rest goes into applying for summer internships. So it's advised to plan the budget accordingly and not rely on the income from the part-time. Part-time may be possible for other less hectic courses.

Don't waste your time, money and energy in European colleges.
Tips: Before coming here students should know that it is hard to get post-study job opportunities for Indians unless they speak French. I even noticed an Indian French teacher who could not secure a job after his MBA from HEC. So learn French before coming here and choose wisely whether this is what you want to do. Besides, the city is very safe and secure. The college is located on the outskirts of Paris in a village called Jouy en Josas which is a great city so you can enjoy your time here.

It was an amazing and eye openning experience that changed my future.
Tips: Students should know HEC is not in Paris. Take advantage of the courses by actually taking the programme. Start applying to internships very early. Transition was fine, and no major cultural shock. Prepare yourself to meet people from all around the world who think differently from you. The university was very good, I enjoyed a lot the courses and the country as well.
Likes (Student Life): There are all kinds of clubs, and you can be as active as you want; it's a great way to meet people. The variety includes cultural, parties, sports, academic, and more. I enjoyed meeting people all the time. French courses are also important, as they are the best way to fully integrate.
Dislikes (Indian Food): I prefer eating out as there are no kitchens in each room. Also, time is a constraint, as there are a lot of things going on all the time, and you want to go for the easiest option. Each building has its own kitchen. Cafeteria costs 6 euros per meal, and Gustav costs 12 euros per meal.

Warwick: Where Theory Meets the Real World
Tips: It would be beneficial if students begin looking for accommodation at an early stage, settle issues concerning their bank account early, network with people and begin applying for internships/jobs if you wish to continue staying in the UK after graduating. The course itself is quite intensive; therefore, effective time management is required. The move to the UK was a big challenge, including adjustment to a new environment, living independently and different cultures. However, the University of Warwick has a lot of students from other countries, and it was rather easy to make friends and communicate with people there. I had the opportunity to know different cultures through my friends, and I would like to note that it was one of the best aspects of studying in the university. I did not receive any scholarships; therefore, I cannot say anything about the allowance. Generally speaking, I am completely satisfied with both my university and course. My course was quite practical, interactive, and allowed working on some projects and listen to experts from the industry.
Likes (Student Life): The life of campus at Warwick University is really fantastic. The university provides guest lectures, networking programs, career days, and other activities during the academic year. There are plenty of clubs and societies like *INSA Warwick*, where all Indian students come together and organize events related to Indian culture. There are sports clubs, cultural societies, and other communities at Warwick University. What I love most about being a student at Warwick University is the opportunity to make friends from various countries while pursuing my course.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): The situation on the UK employment market isn't very good at the moment, particularly when it comes to sponsored visas. The number of companies sponsoring visas isn't large, and it is also a factor of the position itself and your experience. Here you may look for positions like Supply Chain Analyst, Procurement Assistant, Buyer, Logistics Coordinator, and Operations Analyst. Salaries for junior positions are approximately u00a325ku2013u00a335k per year. The situation regarding vacancies isn't bad, but finding a job with visa sponsorship is the hard part.

A comprehensive review of life at Warwick studying PPE
Tips: Transition felt easy as there was a large community that was in the same boat. Felt welcome, and information and support were readily available from student societies and the students' union. No scholarships. Extremely satisfied with the university and the course.
Likes (Indian Food): I prefer cooking at home - lots of variety in terms of food between the three town/cities the closest to campus (Coventry, Leamington Spa and Birmingham) - between North Indian, South Indian and coastal food at different price levels - all available and taste good.
Dislikes (Internships): Internships are independent of universities, student societies are allowed for networking events, but everything else is independent and led by the student. While the university did host some events with speakers across industries, the companies brought in did not align with what I wanted.

The Best Decision I made!
Tips: Be prepared to have the time of your life. You will love studying here. The self-motivation to do good just flows in to you. You will find yourself sitting in a park or having a good sports session during your free time or even going for a sports session at The Oculus! Just go for this university, no questions!
Likes (Public transportation): There is great connectivity to both Leamington Spa and Coventry from the University. Buses usually run every 30 minutes and are mostly very rarely crowded. A monthly bus pass costs about GBP 60, which covers transport up to B'ham. Cov in itself has great connectivity with trains and an airport nearby.
Dislikes (Internships): I didn't go through the process myself, but based on the reviews I gathered from my friends on this. I was a master's student, so we directly had to apply for jobs on a full-time basis or graduate roles. More information can be found on different subreddits.

Amazing university for studies which is industrially connected.
Tips: Be ready to take responsibility and accountability of everything from day 1, including food, travel, studies, etc. Keep your options open in your home country for job prospects, as the entire Europe region, including the UK, is facing the anti-immigration heat, and this has also impacted the policy and regulations. Overall university life is great in all the aspects. Plan for admissions a year earlier; that opens up many scholarship options.
Likes (Public transportation): I rated it highly because getting to and from campus is incredibly easy, especially if you’re commuting from Coventry center or Leamington Spa. The National Express buses—like the 12X express—run constantly right into the main campus bus interchange. They do get absolutely packed during the 9:00 AM rush, to the point where you might have to squeeze in or wait for the next one, but the sheer frequency makes up for it. On top of that, getting out of the bubble for a weekend is a breeze. You can easily grab a quick bus down to Coventry station and hop on a West Midlands or Avanti train, or just book a cheap National Express coach. It makes traveling to places like London, Birmingham, or Manchester super straightforward and cheap enough that it won't break your student budget."
Dislikes (Safety): Crime rates in the city are on the higher side, especially in the city center and selected areas. It is highly suggested to avoid going out at night. Some of my friends have reported passport theft. Police authorities are reachable, and there is patrolling by police around the city.

Loved the uni , good atmosphere. Productivity at its finest
Tips: A lot of communication gaps needs to be understood No scholarship was awarded to me; 9/10 would be my rating for the university. The country is good, and the course, I would say, is good, and I would suggest not going by rankings only but also seeing how many days there are for classes and deciding accordingly.
Likes (Safety): On the bright side, at least campus life itself feels incredibly safe, so you don't have to worry about your security while you're navigating all that stress. 24/7 safety patrols Community safety available on a phone call all day long Never faced any safety issue in the country or on the campus, not a thing to worry about. A bad experience is that Cov is not quite safe after sunset; it’s suggested not to go alone, but the campus is apart from the city. In fact, it’s made like a city within, so it’s all good.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): The job market right now is brutal, and honestly, everything rests on your shoulders—your profile needs to be solid, but it really comes down to how well you can pitch yourself and win over the interviewer. If you're doing a broad, general management track, the reality check is that openings are incredibly scarce unless you find a way to specialize in something specific. Plenty of companies post vacancies, but getting an offer completely hinges on your ability to sell your skills in that room. Also, nobody is just handing out sponsored visas right after graduation anymore; you're looking at a tiny 2 to 3% chance at best, so you have to hustle incredibly hard.

A Rigorous and Rewarding experience in University of Warwick.
Tips: Before you come to Warwick, just know that the workload is no joke—if you don't stay on top of your time and stay disciplined, you'll get overwhelmed fast. The campus itself has amazing facilities, but if you end up living off-campus in Coventry, you definitely have to map out your daily bus routes and grocery runs beforehand. Moving to the UK was a pretty smooth transition overall, though there was definitely a bit of a culture shock at first. I really had to adjust to a way more independent style of studying, figure out how to collaborate with people from totally different backgrounds, and get used to how they approach group projects and assignments. Honestly, I’ve been really happy with the country and my choice of course. It’s been a massive learning curve, and I’m honestly still taking it all in.
Likes (Indian Food): Coventry has a lot of Indian food options, varying from North Indian to South Indian. It's a very rich, versatile city with various communities living very happily all together, and hence, there was no issue for food. I never felt like I ever left India. I usually cooked by myself but whenever I wanted, I had several options.
Dislikes (Safety): I lived in off-campus student accommodation in Coventry. Coventry felt mostly secure, though there were a few areas in the city center where I was a bit cautious at nights, but overall the city was safe with regular police patrols, good street lighting, and well-maintained public transport. Whereas the University of Warwick campus felt very safe and secure with regular campus police patrolling along with CCTV everywhere in every nook and corner; plus, the presence of so many students made it very safe and easier to navigate.

The staff is very supportive and knowledgeable regarding basic issues faced by many students which is a big help.
Likes (Safety): Very good campus management and security. All the buildings have dedicated safety zones and instructions. There is good connectivity between buildings and exploring the campus always feels safe, even at night. The staff is very helpful and always ready to assist.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): The universities very rarely have placement programs post graduation, many companies do not offer sponsorship to International students, given the scarcity of jobs in the UK. Vibrant campus and city.
Tips: Classes won't be every day, so there are breathing periods throughout. To score high you need to reason properly rather than copy pasting an argument you can't back. I'm satisfied with my course as there was lot of psychological issues it addressed, the back and forth we had with our tutors was amazing.
Likes (Part time work): Nobody looks down on you for working part time jobs, it's quite common. They are quite manageable u get to choose the amount of hours u want to put in. The average payout is 12.60 pounds per hour. You can always gain retail experience as they have a lot of openings during Christmas.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): The changes of permanent residence are low as per the changing laws now, a person can get PR if he/she stays and work in the UK for 10 years excluding the study period. The right wing likes to throw immigrants under the bus for every other issue that they have, so it doesn't matter how hard working or resilient you are; if the laws are against you, you can't really do anything.

Strong academics and faculty, but career is shaped by self-efforts.
Tips: You need to adjust yourself socially and culturally and be more open towards people. The teaching style is more independent and students are expected to take ownership of their learning. Most of this comes from the discipline and habits of an individual. Also, one thing, a friend circle is really important to balance out life as you will grow with them.
Likes (Quality of faculty): You can contact faculty anytime on their contact details (teams), and you get to know if they are offline or away for sometime so you are not changing. The faculty are responsive as well and will give you time for your doubts and guidance. Apart from academics, you can also interact with them casually and they are open to that as well.
Dislikes (Internships): There is a team to help you out with applications and your profile but it's not completely helpful. It's just the basics that they cover and the internship opportunities that exist are limited and highly competitive so the chances to land one are low. You have to try hard each time.

Tips: The lecturers are absolutely top notch. Scholarships are available but can be extremely competitive to achieve. Warwick University is an amazing place to grow and learn but getting a sponsored job is something which only the top 1% of students manage to achieve. Good experiences.
Likes (Student Life): Student life at Warwick is amazing. You have the opportunity to meet people from all backgrounds. Work life balance with a lot of support available. Different clubs to take part in from academic and career societies to cultural ones. There is always something happening on campus to keep you engaged.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Fresh grads can expect to earn anywhere from 22,000 to 70,000 depending on the role. Front office finance and corporate law firms pay the most but these roles are really difficult to get. Most students have to return home due to them not being able to secure sponsored roles, which is especially true for master's students. It also depends on the role you are aiming at. So targeting the right companies go a long way. Compare the course structure with other universities when applying. Overall, I am very satisfied with my course and the country.
Likes (Post study jobs): Since I studied business and marketing, I was keen on applying for jobs in the UK however I started this process while pursuing my Master's. I was fortunate to secure a job right after that at Amazon in Manchester. The University of Warwick does provide ample support when it comes to supporting student jobs.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Since Warwick is quite pricey, learning the basics of cooking is of utmost importance for every student, I feel. The old coffee tavern was my go to. Lots of places have a lot of student discounts so one must carry their student ID. I personally prefer cooking myself since I prefer eating healthy.

Experience at the University of Warwick.
Tips: Self study is very important. Applying for internships since year 1 is essential. Learn how to cook before moving to the UK. Living alone abroad changed my perspective towards life and how I think. As someone who has lived abroad, I highly recommend the experience.
Likes (Public transportation): Buses from the University to Leamington Spa and Coventry are very convenient. Uber is also available to go anywhere. The nearest airport is Birmingham. And trains for London are also available from both Leamington Spa and Coventry. You can get a bus pass made for students for everyday commute.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Warwick is a campus university about 15-20 minutes away from both Leamington Spa and Coventry. On campus food options are very limited and delivery options are expensive. Please learn how to cook before moving to the UK. Grocery stores and Tesco are available on campus.

Been an eventful journey.
Tips: There was a slight culture shock but nothing that took too long to get used to especially once I adapted. People are more particular on boundaries here than a lot of other places and classwork is taken very seriously. Warwick is located in a charming town where the rent is much lower than places like London, which helps in bringing down your cost of living. They also have some of the best business programs and even though the job market is tough to break into, some of my peers have gotten decent placements. The key is to start early.

Great campus and a welcoming environment.
Tips: Very academically structured, making you do the best you can in the university. Warwick has a very global campus with a lot of Indians here as well, and Indian cuisine and ingredients are readily available, although you have to pay a bit extra. My biggest expenses have been food so far. Professors are very involved but also particular about the quality of work delivered. The weather is on the colder side, especially during the winter.

Strong learning and enriching experience.
Tips: Students should know that Warwick is academically rigorous and offers many opportunities but it is important to plan well for finance, accommodation and cultural diversity. My transition was smooth, though I had to adjust to fast-paced academics and a multicultural environment, which turned out to be very enriching. Part-time jobs are available on and around campus but they can be competitive. Warwick also has strong career services and global networking although the current UK job market for graduates is not very favourable. I did not avail myself of any scholarships.
Likes (Public transportation): The campus is well connected to Coventry city centre and nearby areas through frequent bus services, especially Stagecoach and National Express buses. These buses run regularly even late in the evening and offer student passes that make travel economical. Trains from Coventry station also connect easily to major cities like Birmingham and London, making travel beyond the city very convenient. Public transport around Warwick is well structured, student-friendly and cost-effective.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): My main focus in choosing Warwick was the quality of education and international exposure not settlement opportunities. Immigration chances depend largely on government policies and career pathways so I believe the chances of permanent settlement are limited and uncertain. I may be open to short-term work opportunities in the UK for experience but I do not plan to settle there permanently.

Good place to learn and grow.
Tips: I have become more self-reliant and outgoing since coming here compared to my school days in Delhi. The lectures are a bit fast paced so I rely heavily on self study and group work to keep up. The workload is intense but the career opportunities and placement cell are better than many other places. Great experiences.

Academically focused and structured coursework.
Tips: When you join any course, ensure you read all the required coursework. If the course involves programming, take relevant courses and try to have a basic understanding before starting. This will help you learn and understand more efficiently.
Likes (Indian Food): Coventry offers a wide variety of Indian restaurants for dine-in and takeaways. I often cook my own meals because I am a vegetarian, and also because eating out every day is too expensive for a student; it can cost 20-30 each time.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Due to recent government immigration rule changes, the post-study work visa period has been reduced from 24 months to 18 months. There have also been changes regarding dependents, and skilled worker visa requirements have increased from 5 to 10 years, with fewer jobs now eligible.

Diverse learning environment and a vibrant community.
Tips: Transitioning to college life is a major phase in any student's life, and studying in a new country comes with its own set of challenges. You need some time to adjust and adapt to the new culture/environment, and after that, the new country/college starts feeling like home with your friends around. Freshers need to understand that they are not alone feeling like, there are thousand of other students away from their home feeling the same way- the best way to cope with initial adjustment phase is to attend as many events as possible, network and socialize this way you will find your own people which will make this phase a lot more easy and fun. There are various scholarship options available at Warwick; information regarding them is mentioned on their website. I am very much satisfied with my university and my course. Studying Economics at Warwick was an amazing experience; the academic rigour, faculty support and diverse student community truly enriched my personal and professional growth.
Likes (Safety): A typical day in college would be like attending classes, working on assignments in the library, running errands like grocery shopping and unwinding with friends and flatmates. The thing I cherished the most in my college life was having fun with my friends on the college campus. Warwick's campus is one of its standout features- set in the countryside, it offers calmness and refreshment- away from the bustling noise of the city, while some might not want this vibe, but I personally loved it. All sorts of events happened on campus, ranging from different types of festival celebrations to career-focused fairs, TED Talks and speaker sessions- every week there is something or the other happening, and you can choose to attend/participate in them. There are around 200+ different types of clubs and societies on campus, focusing on various things, whether to want to join the Indian Society, play badminton, support social causes by volunteering or by joining groups like UNICEF, there is something for everyone at Warwick. You can choose the ones you resonate with the most according to your liking and associate with them.
Dislikes (Public transportation): The faculty is very friendly and supportive; if students have any doubts/problems, they are always willing to offer that extra help. You can reach out to them via email regarding your doubts or even set a time for a one-on-one meeting virtually or in-person; they are genuinely eager to help the students in any way possible. The thing which I found unique in my department was the provisions of pre-recorded video, approximately an hour long for each designed module, that we were meant to watch at our own pace and convenience before the classes, which was basically an overview of the upcoming lecture content. This approach helped us come better prepared to the classes, prompting more active engagement during discussions and group activities. The faculty is very diverse; you can find lecturers/tutors from various parts of the world, each bringing their own unique perspective.
