It was tough but worth it.
Tips: It is a difficult shift, living alone, managing your finances, loneliness, but it's also fruitful, as once you overcome these hardships, nothing is holding you back. The University of Liverpool offer good scholarships. I availed a 30% discount, as I had a 9 CGPA in my Bachelor's.
Likes (Part time work): A lot of part-time jobs are available for students, especially those in the UK who are doing higher education. It can be tough managing both college and work at first, but it gets easier with flexible, well-organised jobs.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): There are no placements available. It becomes very much difficult to get jobs because they are left on their own while also exploring the job market.

Liverpool is 100% safe for students.
Tips: It's really a pleasure to study at an academic and sports oriented university. I was also granted with an ULMS scholarship, which provided me with a cover of 5000GBP. I got the scholarship on the basis of my previous academic achievements. The people are fun loving and the football culture over there is a must to experience.
Likes (Safety): Liverpool is 100% safe for the students as it's the UK's most student friendly destination. You have campus safety programs which will give you insights into campus and travel safety. There is 24/7 availability of communal resources. You will find Security and Police all over the city to ensure the smooth functioning of events and weekend nights.
Dislikes (Part time work): The options for part-time work are endless. Starting from the retail sector to security, you can find your best suited line of work and apply through IndeedUK or Glassdoor. There are campus jobs too, which provide you with a perfect work-life balance, but they are not posted often.

The university has very good faculty members, plenty of resources and great learning outcomes.
Tips: Getting along with the culture of this country was pretty easy if you were open to accepting changes. The university is a very friendly place where everybody is willing to help you at any time. I was offered a 5000-pound scholarship based on my undergrad scores. I love my university, this country and its people. I have never felt like not getting along with the local people here, I have made pretty good friends locally, other than people from my country. The Scouse accent was a bit hard to understand because it's very different from the rest of the accents in England. But I got used to it. Finding part part-time job at university was not easy, and I haven't gotten any opportunities. But the university itself is right in the middle of the city, so you will get other options around if you try.
Likes (Value for money): The university has very good faculty members, great learning outcomes, and you also get plenty of resources to help you study on campus. The classrooms are great, and the labs are well-equipped. The lecturers and tutors are very knowledgeable and helpful. When it comes to infrastructure, it offers a lot of space for students to feel comfortable. There are two libraries where I often spend time reading or studying. There is also a common place called a guild, where you have bars, a cafe and a gaming area, and it is also a place where I choose to spend my time working on assignments and projects. I have never regretted choosing this university or spending this money on it. It is ranked 147th in the world, is in the top 20 universities in the UK. It is also a Russel group university, which is why the fee can be justified.
Dislikes (Internships): Finding internships through the university might not be as easy as we imagine. I would recommend finding internships on your own via LinkedIn and other job platforms. To gain experience, unpaid internships are easier to obtain. It all depends on how consistent you are in applying for jobs and your skills.

Fun-loving, environmental, world-class university.
Tips: The University of Liverpool is a world-class institution that is fun-loving, environmentally friendly, and supportive of its students. As an alumnus, I suggest that you, as a student, prepare for a challenging and fulfilling life at the university where you will be involved in academic activities, sports, student societies, and so much more. I was lucky enough to receive a 2500 GBP scholarship that was a Commonwealth scholarship given to students from Commonwealth countries. I was very satisfied with the university and the great course I took. If you’re an international student, be prepared for an adjustment period, but don’t worry, you’ll get used to things. I recommend that international students not let any doubts about the country deter them from attending.
Likes (Safety): Liverpool is a safe student city. It is safe if the student is within his limits of enjoyment; otherwise, every place has bad incidents going on. Be responsible wherever you go. I have never had a bad experience because I knew what I was doing and was always together with friends. It is safe if you are always in a group and not roaming around late at night alone to explore.
Dislikes (Internships): Internships are easy to get if you have a basic experience of 1- 2 years. There are many number of opportunities for internships in all fields. If applied on the right time and if it aligns with your background you will surely get it. Internships are available in my field, too. Just have to learn to apply sooner and connect with higher level employees on social media like LinkedIn.

The job market is in crisis, and it is difficult for international students because of visa.
Tips: The system is clear and easy. The assignments are given priority and are easy to do as well. Just have to give enough dedicated time and effort to clear the assignments. The exam system is handy as well, and easily scoreable question papers. I had a scholarship of 2500 pounds because India falls under the Commonwealth countries. I'm having a hard time finding an internship. As a Master's graduate, I've been finding it tough because companies provide internships to undergrad students instead of us. The job market is in crisis right now, and we international students are having an even harder time than usual because of Visa problems. Companies aren't ready to sponsor us, no matter what they say.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transport in Liverpool is so easy to use. The buses are cheap, charging only 2 pounds to take you anywhere within the city. Even the trains are cheap. It all adds up to a fast and convenient life here in Liverpool.

A smart choice for a bright future in a new country.
Tips: The transition was pretty smooth. Initially, I needed some understanding of how things were working, and once I grasped that, I was able to learn new things and develop myself. I received a scholarship from the university, which is given along with the university application itself. The amount is 5000 pounds. I am very satisfied with the university, the course, and the country, where I gained a new perspective on things and began to learn independent while understanding different cultures.
Likes (Safety): I found the area to be quite safe and never faced any safety challenges. The other safety facilities include CCTV surveillance, well-lit streets, emergency helplines, and so on. Even the student accommodation needs access to cars multiple times to enter the premises. One positive experience was when I went to my friend's place late at around 3 am. The street were deserted, but I observed some police surveillance in the area during this time, which made me feel safe.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): The UK offers a structured and transparent immigration system with a clear process for obtaining a visa and permanent immigration options by being in skilled workers visa category. My chances of getting permanent settlement are fairly good, as I am pursuing a Master's degree in a high-demand field, specifically Data Science and AI. There are several opportunities for roles related to this degree in the UK. Obtaining a proper job with the necessary skills and meeting the requirements of the skilled worker visa would help in securing the Permanent settlement option. Yes, I would consider it seriously. The quality of life and opportunities in the country are immense for the role I am interested in.

A mistake during covid time. Think twice before joining this university.
Tips: This course is not worth the money. You can look for other universities within the same fee range. The university does some scholarships, you don’t need to apply separately but make sure that SOP is perfect. I was fortunate to receive the ULMS Future Leaders Scholarship worth 24500.
Likes (Public transportation): The public transportation is very good. Frequent bus service from all parts of the city plus train service from nearby met cities. Quite affordable, bus tickets are 2 pounds for a single and a day pass is around 5 pounds, which is quite reasonable compared to other cities, but trains are expensive.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): There is uncertainty regarding visa rules and the government. The UK job market is not stable at all and it is better to look for other countries at this point. The job market is saturated and clearly, it's a joke. I would personally recommend Australia, the US and Germany.

Additionally, the student support services are excellent, offering help with everything from academics to mental health, which can make a big difference, especially during the first year. Transitioning to this college was both exciting and challenging. Academically, I had to adjust to a faster-paced curriculum and different grading standards compared to what I was used to. The first few months were tough, but I soon found a rhythm that worked for me. Socially, it took some time to find my group of friends, but joining clubs and participating in campus events helped a lot. I also became more independent and confident, learning how to manage my time effectively and balance studies with extracurricular activities.

Tips: While the environment in the university is friendly and fun loving. This is a really good University and we have many programmes to enhance our skills.
Tips: I was fortunate enough to receive a scholarship from the University of Liverpool, which greatly alleviated the burden of my studies. The scholarship process involved submitting my academic records, a personal statement and letters of recommendations. My course is intellectually stimulating and offers a perfect blend of theoretical knowledge and practical applications.
Likes (Public transportation): It's 32 for each trip, easily accessible buses. National Express runs to and from different cities anytime. The transport is easily available and the station is nearby. The trains are also available but the station close at 12 midnight hence traveling by bus is really easy.
Dislikes (Part time work): The part time options are limited. You usually have to go far in search of work also mostly you get work as a warehouse operative. You need to travel to different nearby cities and getting job in city centre is a bit difficult. You can join agencies and work at different places.

Tips: Definitely a cultural shift. Learn cooking but adapt to local food as you won't get much time to cook. And if you get a part time job then just forget about cooking you will be eating outside almost every day. Life is pretty fast here as compared to India.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Better feedback loops and overall quality of teaching. Most of the modules are up to Date and are revised every year. Faculty members are well trained and all of them have PhDs. They will only teach you what needed. Also the way they teach here is quite different from India in a better way.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There is only 1 or 2 shops where you can find Indian food and spices. Although the western options at other places are good. Try to change your eating habits. Try to bring as much as you can as it took me about 2 months to get around with the food here. Definitely bring atleast 6 months stock of spices if you tend to cook.

Tips: Self study is very important. Applying for internships since year 1 is essential. Learn how to cook before moving to the UK. Living alone abroad changed my perspective towards life and how I think. As someone who has lived abroad, I highly recommend the experience.
Likes (Public transportation): Buses from the University to Leamington Spa and Coventry are very convenient. Uber is also available to go anywhere. The nearest airport is Birmingham. And trains for London are also available from both Leamington Spa and Coventry. You can get a bus pass made for students for everyday commute.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Warwick is a campus university about 15-20 minutes away from both Leamington Spa and Coventry. On campus food options are very limited and delivery options are expensive. Please learn how to cook before moving to the UK. Grocery stores and Tesco are available on campus.

Tips: There was a slight culture shock but nothing that took too long to get used to especially once I adapted. People are more particular on boundaries here than a lot of other places and classwork is taken very seriously. Warwick is located in a charming town where the rent is much lower than places like London, which helps in bringing down your cost of living. They also have some of the best business programs and even though the job market is tough to break into, some of my peers have gotten decent placements. The key is to start early.

Tips: Students should know that Warwick is academically rigorous and offers many opportunities, but it is important to plan well for finance, accommodation, and cultural diversity. My transition was smooth overall, though I had to adjust to fast-paced academics and a multicultural environment, which turned out to be very enriching. Part-time jobs are available on and around campus, but they can be competitive. Warwick also has strong career services and global networking, although the current UK job market for graduates is not very favourable. I did not avail myself of any scholarships. Overall, I am very satisfied with the university, my course, and the experience in the UK.
Likes (Public transportation): It is very convenient, reliable, and affordable for students. The campus is well connected to Coventry city centre and nearby areas through frequent bus services, especially Stagecoach and National Express buses. These buses run regularly, even late in the evening, and offer student passes that make travel economical. Trains from Coventry station also connect easily to major cities like Birmingham and London, making travel beyond the city very convenient. Overall, public transport around Warwick is well-structured, student-friendly, and cost-effective.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): My main focus in choosing Warwick was the quality of education and international exposure, not settlement opportunities. Immigration chances depend largely on government policies and career pathways, so I believe the chances of permanent settlement are limited and uncertain. I may be open to short-term work opportunities in the UK for experience, but I do not plan to settle there permanently.

Tips: University rankings do not matter in the UK. Likes (Indian Food): Coventry offers a wide variety of Indian restaurants for dine-in and takeaways. I often cook my own meals because I am a vegetarian, and also because eating out every day is too expensive for a student; it can cost 20-30 each time.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Due to recent government immigration rule changes, the post-study work visa period has been reduced from 24 months to 18 months. There have also been changes regarding dependents, and skilled worker visa requirements have increased from 5 to 10 years, with fewer jobs now eligible.

Tips: Transitioning to college life is a major phase in any student's life, and studying in a new country comes with its own set of challenges. Freshers need to understand that they are not alone feeling like, there are thousand of other students away from their home feeling the same way- the best way to cope with initial adjustment phase is to attend as many events as possible, network and socialize this way you will find your own people which will make this phase a lot more easy and fun. There are various scholarship options available at Warwick; information regarding them is mentioned on their website. I am very much satisfied with my university and my course. Studying Economics at Warwick was an amazing experience; the academic rigour, faculty support and diverse student community truly enriched my personal and professional growth.
Likes (Safety): A typical day in college would be like attending classes, working on assignments in the library, running errands like grocery shopping and unwinding with friends and flatmates. The thing I cherished the most in my college life was having fun with my friends on the college campus. Warwick's campus is one of its standout features- set in the countryside, it offers calmness and refreshment- away from the bustling noise of the city, while some might not want this vibe, but I personally loved it. All sorts of events happened on campus, ranging from different types of festival celebrations to career-focused fairs, TED Talks and speaker sessions- every week there is something or the other happening, and you can choose to attend/participate in them. There are around 200+ different types of clubs and societies on campus, focusing on various things, whether to want to join the Indian Society, play badminton, support social causes by volunteering or by joining groups like UNICEF, there is something for everyone at Warwick. You can choose the ones you resonate with the most according to your liking and associate with them.
Dislikes (Public transportation): The faculty is very friendly and supportive; if students have any doubts/problems, they are always willing to offer that extra help. You can reach out to them via email regarding your doubts or even set a time for a one-on-one meeting virtually or in-person; they are genuinely eager to help the students in any way possible. The thing which I found unique in my department was the provisions of pre-recorded video, approximately an hour long for each designed module, that we were meant to watch at our own pace and convenience before the classes, which was basically an overview of the upcoming lecture content. This approach helped us come better prepared to the classes, prompting more active engagement during discussions and group activities. The faculty is very diverse; you can find lecturers/tutors from various parts of the world, each bringing their own unique perspective.

The faculty members are exceptionally knowledgeable and dedicated; however, it's important to be aware that the available career support services are somewhat limited. Therefore, prospective students should focus their efforts, minimise distractions, and maintain a strong work ethic throughout their studies. Furthermore, it is highly advisable to thoroughly research the immigration policies and the level of support offered to international students in the country where you plan to study, as this will greatly impact your post-graduation plans.

Rigorous and supportive environment.
Tips: First of all, academics here are very rigorous. You will have to do a lot of background reading along with your assigned reading; optional reading isn't really optional. The campus is beautiful, but don't expect a big bustling city vibe here; it is a peaceful city, but well-connected. There are hundreds of clubs here, so you should pursue every single hobby of yours to pass the time. All in all, had a great experience here.

Learning a lot each day.
Tips: I chose Warwick because of the course structure, and I was not disappointed. You are made to be employable and well prepared, and people here take their work very seriously, so should you. Take the train to Birmingham to get some real Indian food, and you'll have to rely mainly on cooking here. The city is quiet and you'll be expected to be on your best behaviour, but the campus is a blast. We have numerous community clubs, events and activities to participate in and socialise. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my experiences.

Tips: After coming to Warwick University, I noticed a big cultural shift in me and the surrounding people. People are polite and supportive here. However, people tend to be independent from a very early age, which is why they are competitive and strong-willed. Coming here, I started being independent myself, pushing myself beyond my comfort zone, which helped me grow and mature as a person. I got the WMG excellence scholarship, thus reducing my fees by 25%. I really love the university. It is vibrant, welcoming, with an on-campus cafe and a support centre for everything like career, well-being, health, academic, etc.
Likes (Value for money): The tuition fees are around 30,000 pounds. However, you have free access to the library, computer centres, all software, teachers, networking events, career events, and career counselling. Furthermore, Warwick is a top university with a great reputation. There are job fairs and events where employers come to campus, and this is a great way to network. In addition, the university is inclusive, equal to all, safe, and academically effective.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Fast-food restaurants, such as McDonald's, have menus that average 3 to 7 pounds. Other options include Franzos, with an average meal cost of 10 pounds, and Greggs, which averages 2 to 5 pounds. There are several cafes and restaurants where the average cost of a one-time meal is approximately 6 pounds. I would rather cook for myself; however, there is a tiffin centre that can deliver vegetarian or non-vegetarian meals directly to your residence for 7 pounds.

Warwick is an excellent educational hub with lots of growth and learning.
Tips: The first part of the process is to get accepted as Warwick is one of the most competitive programs and the acceptance rate is below 20%. Getting scholarships are even more challenging and I was not eligible for one either. If you are someone who was absolutely no familiarity with the UK or its customs, there are pre enrollment courses and manuals which are pretty helpful. The campus is very student-friendly and welcoming to people from all over the world. The cost of living in general is very expensive. You can work part-time for up to 20 hours a week with your student visa, and there are a few places around campus that encourage student employment. Overall, students get a lot of support here and I am quite satisfied with the university, course and the country.

Very enriching and insightful experience.
Tips: Many things here exceeded my expectations. For instance, Indian food is surprisingly good, especially if you visit a few authentic food vendors and restaurants. Although the cost of living in general is very expensive. If you want to live comfortably, you will need to budget between 850 and 1500 pounds each month. The accommodations are also decent, though some of the more popular ones are hard to reserve. Lastly, as an undergraduate, you are allowed to work part-time. Overall, I have learnt a lot from my experiences and am pretty much satisfied with my course and the country.

Tips: I have experienced a lot of change. Among a lot of colleges, Warwick manages to hold its status and reputation. Lots of culture and growth.
Tips: The campus is very student-friendly and welcoming to people from all over the world. The process of paperwork and documentation is slow and can be very frustrating at times. Also, ensure that your fee is paid in advance, as there are big fines for late payments, which are not worth the hassle. The culture is fantastic and I have learnt more than I initially expected. Overall, I am highly satisfied with my experiences.
Dislikes (Internships): Internships are limited, especially in my program. Moreover, they are given on a priority basis, so citizens of the UK have better chances of getting them. The campus does open a few slots, but they attract a lot of qualified candidates, making it trickier.
