Tips: Overall, a good academic experience, but students should be prepared about the cultural difference and language barriers. Managing their finance independent and studying is also important. I didn't apply for any scholarships. I am really satisfied with my course and university life.
Likes (Internships): The university is providing internships for students. Students can also apply for internships at companies that match their academic background. Sometimes there are obligations, such as voluntary internships that should be completed within 2 or 3 semesters.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Finding a suitable job after studies is very challenging. You need to find a job that matches your qualifications to get a visa after your studies. Also, the permanent residence process can be lengthy and involves several requirements like language, a job contact, etc. Yes, I would like to immigrate permanently to Germany if given the opportunity.

A lot of opportunities so the competition.
Tips: You have to be flexible to align with a new culture, and balancing your academics and part-time job is not easy. Nowadays, finding part times are also getting difficult, but with a consistent mindset, you can earn one. Indeed, Xing and similar websites/apps can be very helpful in finding jobs.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty are highly educated and talented and would help us with everything. They share their intellectual property and ideas with us and treat us without any discrimination. Quality faculty can help us academically, but getting a job after the course, they can’t do anything.
Dislikes (Internships): There are a lot of internship opportunities, but getting one is highly competitive, and you have to apply for a lot to get into one. Nowadays, the competition is among Indian students because we have a minimum of bachelor's degrees, English knowledge, and a good IT background, which makes us a good choice for companies, but there are a lot!!

Worth the Effort, Great Education and Opportunities in Munich
Tips:
Getting used to life here may require some time, particularly on a social level. Germany, and Bavaria in particular, is a rather traditional country where people are private, reserved and distant. It is not very easy to make friends with locals (particularly in the winter months). However, I studied in Munich, which houses 3 universities. Therefore, there are many new international students each semester who can attend different student events, network, and get involved in cultural activities. Thus, there are opportunities to make friends, but of course, it requires effort. 1. There is a clear cultural change: people are reserved and private. But after having become fluent in the language and familiarising myself with the local culture, everything became much easier. People, both locals and other students, became more approachable and friendly, which helped a lot in both my personal and professional life. 2. Yes, I got the Deutschlandstipendium for the whole period of my studies, which gives u20ac300 per month. An additional advantage was that there were no extra expenses connected with the application for a visa extension. The funding is provided by the government. There is no fixed criterion, and it helps students who have hardships, are refugees, etc. I got it for academic and volunteering achievements over the years. 3. Very satisfied; the most difficult and time-consuming thing is learning the language, but when I became fluent in it, a lot of opportunities opened up for me. People became totally different; I became friends with locals, got job offers and immediately found my home. From my experience, proficiency in the language is the key to success, particularly in civil engineering. Though there are opportunities for English speakers, any student who wants to study and work here should consider the language issue. This helps a lot with Career prospects and Quality of life.
Likes (Value for money):
The financial investment in my studies was very low: 0 tuition fees (only a semester contribution of 136 euros). There are also plenty of government-funded scholarships. I feel it is worth the money because of the high academic standards, career prospects after graduation and little financial burden.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration):
After completing my Master's, I was able to start working in the same field as my studies, which made me eligible for the EU Blue Card. The process was smooth and remarkably fast. Regarding the permanent immigration question, I have now learned the language, work full-time, and am integrated well into society, and, based on how things are progressing, I see myself realistically doing so in the coming years.

Tips: The exam pattern and way of teaching are different from those in India. More practical way of learning. I got the Deutschlandstipendium for 2 years. The criteria to get this scholarship are marks plus social commitment (highly competetive in TUM). I am happy with the course, university and country.
Likes (Safety): I am not aware of the facilities provided to ensure students' safety, but there will be many, for sure. I never felt unsafe here. I have only had good experiences in Munich city so far. There were days when I used to reach my room after 3 am, but I never felt unsafe. Public transportation is also reliable and safe even during odd hours.
Dislikes (Part time work): On-campus part-time jobs are available but highly competitive and pay less. More money can be earned by doing off-campus jobs, which are easy to find. Managing part-time work along with studies and other household chores is difficult, but doable. 13 euros per hour is the average, I think.

TUM provides the students with the right faculty and equipment for a successful career.
Tips: There is a bit of cultural shock because German society is very structured. Public cleanliness is a must, and in Munich, everything closes at 8. At TUM, tuition fees do not exist. We only pay the student union fees and a monthly subscription for public transport that is valid across Germany. In that case, it’s an extremely kind and easy place to immigrate into. TUM is an extremely fun yet stressful environment. There’s little room for excuses and understanding. However, it gives you the best professors and equipment to aid in any academic career you may want.
Likes (Public transportation): There are several buses and a U-Bahn (metro) station exclusively for the campus that I attend in Garching. Most public transport runs at 10-minute intervals and is mostly on time. The entire city is well connected, and with the Deutschland Ticket subscription you can even travel nation-wide, which is worth every cent.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): I have permanent residency in the country because of time. I’ve been here for most of my life. However, for other people, I have found integration into German culture difficult. A high level of grasp of German, education and job security are required to successfully immigrate to Germany.

Academically challenging but rewarding
Tips: Learn the language and take the effort to integrate, overall, a great experience academically and otherwise. If you are from a place where there is cultural discrimination against women or others, leave it at home before you come out, its honesty pretty gross.
Likes (Post study jobs): Lots of chances in Munich to do internships, and then you can try whatever you want and then at the end, choose, there are a tonne of huge companies in the city and in the surrounding region. This gives you the chance to actually compete for a lot of positions.
Dislikes (Student Life): Student life is pretty much non-existent, but outside of campus you can have a good time. There are a lot of student clubs that you can join, and that's honestly pretty nice, but normally at university you won't have the classic Indian hostel experience.

What should people know if you want to join TUM
Tips: It's academically demanding, even for management and technology students. I have lived here for around 11 years now, so I never had a culture shift. There are scholarships for high-performing students, like the Deutschlandstipendium, etc. The university is good; it opens a lot of opportunities and is very reputed everywhere. However, they have introduced international tuition fees, so if anyone is interested in joining, they must really think about it.
Likes (Public transportation): TUM is in central Munich with many different public transport options, including buses, underground trains, and trams. You have the Deutschlandticket, which you can use for public regional transportation all over Germany for around 40 euros a month.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): It's hard to grow in this country starting as a junior employee if you don't speak German and are not German. I have heard from many people that the office politics is hard to navigate. I myself are planning on moving out for a master's or for employment in the future. Its great to study here since the education is almost free, many part time employment options, and can find working student positions or internships to kick start the career.

Studying, having fun, struggles and personal growth at TU Munich
Tips: If you are coming to Germany, please have in mind that you will need to learn German. It is not just important for jobs, but also to feel more integrated and less out of place. This is the most important thing, and you should treat learning German as being as important as your course itself. I worked as a student assistant with a professor on a project, and such jobs are common. You can also get student jobs in corporations or work in bartending and restaurants to get by. However, you should try to get a student job or internship in companies where you want to work, as there are greater chances of covering that to a full-time role after graduation. I am overall pretty satisfied with the university and my course as well as with Germany. It is challenging in the beginning with the language, foreigners' office bureaucracy, and housing headaches, but if one sees that through and focuses on learning the language. Life gets easier. Plus, working conditions post-graduation are good, and you can become a permanent resident relatively soon if you know B1 German and have a Blue Card for employment for 2 years.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Faculty in my course were top-notch. They generally teach what they are searching/have researched, and so have a good command of their material. The teaching style here is generally quite interactive, with classroom discussions being common, and you can approach faculty in our department for questions, generally without hesitation. They are also relatively diverse, we had instructors from Lebanon, South Korea, India, the USA, and all over Europe.
Dislikes (Student Life): TUM is a very decentralised university, so studies are broadly student-driven and people try to balance part-time work and studies. Also, there is no campus to speak of, the university is basically multiple building blocks spread over a few streets. So basically, socialisation is limited in Universities. Where most of the socialisation happens is actually the student dormitories, which are spread all over Munich, where you live with people from all over the world and have a lot of fun parties. But getting a room there generally requires a waiting period of about a year. Thus, students generally struggle to find accommodation in the first year when they are most unaware of the systems, language and culture in Germany. This housing situation is the most challenging part of studying at TUM, and one needs to put in extra effort soon after you decide to come here to secure accommodation for at least a year, while applying to be on the list for student dorms.

Good Education, Tough Job Market.
Tips: The transition was difficult at first. Adapting to an independent lifestyle, a new academic system, and a language took time. Finding accommodation was the biggest challenge, but I was glad to get a dorm later. I did not avail of any scholarship. I'm quite satisfied with my university, course, and country. TUM offers good academic exposure, and Germany provides good opportunities if you have strong German language skills and relevant experience. The job market is currently challenging, though.
Likes (Value for money): Value for money still gets a full 5/5 from me, even with Munich’s notoriously high rent and TUM’s non-EU tuition fees. You're paying more than at other German universities, but the return on investment is massive. The network here is unreal—direct links to giants like BMW, Siemens, and tech startups mean you get top-tier working student (Werkstudent) roles while studying. Combined with world-class campus facilities and instant global brand recognition on your resume, every euro spent feels justified.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Getting a job (including Werkstudent) mostly depends on your German language skills; B2 is the minimum for my field. University reputation does not guarantee a job. There is also no direct campus placement system like in India, so students need to apply independent. Having relevant work experience can help a bit.

Learn the language for a career
Tips: The main difference is knowing the language. If you learn and come here, everything becomes easy. If not, it is very difficult to get jobs and network. I don't know much about the scholarships. I am satisfied with everything, but the job market is very hard.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Very approachable, a little late in replying. Mostly theoretical teaching. Very diverse and qualified. It is very difficult to pass the exams if we leave everything to the last minute. It's very hard to find a thesis professor if it's not planned well. The 1st year is pretty standard. In the 3rd semester you can choose your seminars, and the 4th semester is thesis work. You can extend another 2 semesters.
Dislikes (Part time work): There aren't many on-campus jobs. Off-campus jobs are hard to get due to language. If we have a part-time job, it is easy to manage because it's only 20 hours. The minimum payout is 13.90. Average 15 euros. The main difference is learning the language. It will take around an average of 1 year to get a working student.

TUM: looks fancy on paper, but can get stressful really fast.
Tips: This is not an easy place to be. I would really advise thinking twice about joining TUM. Academics are genuinely pretty hard. I wouldn’t say that I’m satisfied with my decision; however, if I do complete it, the rewards are still substantial. However, if I knew what I know now while making my decision, I probably would’ve headed somewhere else.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transportation is pretty good all across Europe. Trains connect all parts pretty well. Accessibility-wise, I’d give it a full score; however, reaching places does take time, and the German transportation system has historically always been subject to delays.
Dislikes (Indian Food): I’m from India, and I must say that Indian food options are pretty mediocre at best in Munich. There are many Indians running these restaurants; however, taste gets lost in translation, and you end up with bland, unseasoned, and sometimes even incorrect versions of the food. For example, I got some naan from a highly reviewed restaurant, and it was about a centimeter thick and raw.

TUM: Beer, sweat and tears :)
Tips: Extremely satisfied with the university. Getting into TUM is easy, but graduation is hard. You get a maximum duration of 8 semesters where you have to complete 180 ECTS; otherwise you're exmatriculated and barred from pursuing that study program anywhere else in the country.
Likes (Indian Food): Amazing Indian restaurants available. Many Indian stores also sell Indian snacks. I prefer eating outside or cooking for myself here and there. I love the food and beer scene in Munich in general. Also a big enough Indian diaspora to go out together to eat some local butter chicken :).
Dislikes (Post study jobs): The German job market, and the overall European market in general, are experiencing a downturn. Would recommend new students find working student jobs and try to get a permanent position after graduation. Many teach roles available at legacy companies, and many automobile giants have their headquarters in Munich.

TU Munich Bachelor Informatik review
Tips: If you're joining TUM for Informatik (Computer Science), the biggest piece of advice is to tackle housing months before your semester starts. Munich’s rental market is brutal, private student dorms fill up fast, and the Studierendenwerk dorm waitlist can take several semesters. Start hunting on WG-Gesucht as soon as you get your admission offer.
On the academic side, TUM’s Informatik curriculum is world-class, but it’s exceptionally rigorous. You'll be spending most of your time out at the Garching campus, and passing initial orientation exams (GOP) requires serious effort from day one. To help with Munich's high cost of living, definitely apply for the Deutschlandstipendium—it’s 300€ a month and provides a huge financial cushion if you land it. Overall, the degree is intense, but the reputation and career doors it opens are well worth it.

My experience at Technical University of Munich - inside and outside the campus.
Tips: Munich is an expensive city, plus the introduction of very high tuition fees for non-EU students is really difficult to manage. Always look for alternative universities with similar courses and scholarships as well. TUM is also a bit hectic with the classes.
Likes (Public transportation): We have many different types of public transport, and they are very reliable. In case some line is not working, replacement buses are provided. The frequency of metros, suburban trains, buses, and trams is also very good. There are night buses and trams also available. You don't need to walk more than 10 minutes for the nearest public transport.
Dislikes (Value for money): Because it's really expensive and most part-time jobs require German. Also, 6000 euros a semester (1000 a month) plus 1000 euros on living expenses is really a big financial burden. Sometimes it feels like going and settling in a smaller city would have been a better option.

Tips: A lot of things change after you step out of your comfort zone, your home. There is definitely a huge cultural shift, unlike India. The food, the weather, the people you meet, the place you live and share and most importantly, the language. Everything here is in German: road signs, grocery, announcements, etc. Knowing a little bit of knowledge in advance helps a lot and makes things easier! I didn't avail myself of any scholarships, as my university didn't charge any fee for the degree; however, DAAD offers information about all the courses, their admission requirements, all universities, as well as the scholarships available and their deadlines. Germany in general loves paperwork, so if you are interested, brace yourself, as you'll need a lot of documentation to apply. I am personally grateful that I chose this university, as it gave a lot of opportunities to work in different settings, from academic labs to company internships to hospital experience. I worked everywhere and also had the freedom to choose what I wanted to study which subjects to take and what to major in for my degree! It was a wholesome experience! I would definitely recommend it!
Likes (Quality of faculty): You can always approach the faculty during the lecture period and also afterwards regarding internship opportunities; however, you have to be aware, as there is a lot of competition. The teaching method that I personally admire is them giving real-time information on the recent research and the work done, rather than a typical syllabus method where interactive learning happens because of the curiosity! They offer some diversity with mostly German teachers along with guest speakers and lecturers from all over the world.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): I gave post-study jobs a low rating because even though Germany is supposed to have great career prospects, actually landing a job after graduating is a massive uphill battle. People think having TUM on their resume means companies will just fight over them because of the uni's huge reputation and industry ties, but that’s not how it works at all—you still have to grind incredibly hard. Everything boils down to your German fluency, how much past experience you have, and honestly, how bad the market is at the moment. Most of the roles you end up seeing are things like research assistants, lab scientists, tech assistants, or maybe project coordination if you get lucky. Plus, the starting pay usually hovers around €43k to €55k depending on where you land, which isn't mind-blowing considering how insanely expensive it is to live in Munich while you're hunting for work.

Its a Great University and a great course.
Tips: Must learn German at least B1/2 before coming to Germany in general. Cities are much cleaner and more organized. Prices might look way higher on groceries. Satisfied with everything, but the job market is too bad, and getting a job is extremely hard, so be prepared for this.
Likes (Public transportation): It's great! A 49 euro ticket is enough to travel anywhere inside the state. For students it's a really good travel option. Trains, trams, buses, U-bahns, and S-bahns are available options, and all important places are very well connected with great frequencies of transport.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Food is just a variety of breads here. You really miss Indian food, sweets, and snacks here. I generally cook for myself, as it's way cheaper and tastier. Most of the groceries are available in local markets, but if you need Indian dal and spices, you need to get them from Indian markets, which are a bit farther.

TUM -Every student's dream university
Tips: Honestly, making the move out here was pretty smooth overall, but you definitely need a minute to adjust to the local way of doing things. Getting used to that legendary German punctuality and the incredibly blunt, direct communication style is a real trip at first and takes some serious getting used to. On the financial side, I was lucky enough to snag a merit-based scholarship through my home institution back home, which takes a massive weight off your shoulders. Looking back, I’m seriously happy with choosing the Biology Master's program at the TUM Freising campus. The research opportunities out here are absolutely top-tier, and the whole student environment is incredibly international, so you never feel like the odd one out while you're grinding through your lab work.

Tips: When you first arrive at TUM, you're going to get hit with a ton of things that feel incredibly overwhelming and downright impossible to grasp right away, so you really have to give yourself some grace and keep an open mind. The academic setup here is an entirely different beast compared to what we're used to in the Indian education system—there’s zero rote learning or spoon-feeding. Because this is a top-tier technical university, the entire focus is stripped back to pure research and hardcore technical applications. You’ve got to be prepared to shift your whole mindset from just passing exams to actually understanding how to apply the theory in a lab or a project, otherwise, the fast pace will leave you behind.

Tips: I was awarded the Deutschlandstipendium scholarship and got the information via the internet. I am very much satisfied with the university, but the course could be more in-depth. I have transitioned a lot with the system, day-to-day life, by observing the people and learning from them.
Likes (Student Life): In the morning we would attend the lectures and then mostly chill out or catch up with friends, doing project work or part-time job depending on the schedule. There are a lot of student clubs and communities where people can participate. The course also has a WhatsApp group that organizes a few events.
Dislikes (Internships): You need to find your own internship via applying directly on the company portal. There are a few positions also posted on the university page or via email. Yes, you can get the internship in the field of study. Sometimes it's easy to get the internship if you know German.

Tips: Transitioning into UK culture comes with substantial culture shock, mainly when it comes to privacy and reduced sunshine during winter, which makes vitamin D supplements vital. Although I failed to secure any scholarships due to a late application, potential students must plan a year. All in all, embracing independence despite the initial loneliness is an exciting experience.
Likes (Student Life): In light of the wonderful neo-Gothic architecture, such as the building of Hogwarts Castle and the activities surrounding the university, the University of Glasgow features many cultural associations, which include Indian and Tamil associations. Not only do they study, but the students can also go to interesting places such as Byres Road, or they could even immerse themselves in the Scotch and Scottish pub culture. In the end, making an adventure out of it all makes life romantic.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Ultimately, success is dependent on the state of mind of the person involved. People who are committed to establishing a future for themselves in the country will go out of their way to try to stay in the country. It is, however, clear that a lot of luck comes into play, and immigration laws have become much stricter in recent times. In a very uncertain environment, those who manage to get their sponsorship will prove their worth.

Challenges and benefits of student life University of Glasgow ( quantum technology course)
Tips: Scottish people are really friendly, so it should be fine. Main thing I need to say that focus on studies because it's a prestigious university and have lot of classes and assignments are there for the course, those who tried to do part time have mostly had failure issues in their courses. So best course is to survive with loan money and then look for anything after course finishes. Case otherwise we close the aim what we came here. If it solely for part time it would be hard for you. Course is really good to be honest, but it's mostly related to hardware rather than quantum computing software side. But also you won't have much time to relax mostly we will be library and research. I applied for international scholarship which give 10000 pound discount on student feels which I got but please apply early as possible because it is limited.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Faculty is really good for my course, but do not expect teaching strategy will be similar to India and understanding of teaching is mid, because mostly it will be like professors show and teach current research we ourselves have to put effort on it to understand exactly what it is there. Also you will get opportunities to access lot of sources required for course which is enough.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): PR is currently really hard in UK as visa rules are getting tighter and tighter. Also even for job opportunities it's a tight situation. But if you are planning for Ph.D. research funding is mostly towards home students, still options are there. All these being said, opportunities are there but it requires experience .

It was quite an easy adjustment, even though it took some time to adapt to the weather conditions, new food and an overall different lifestyle. In general, I am quite satisfied with the University of Glasgow, the Data Science course and staying in the UK.
Likes (Part time work): Why have you rated 5 for Student Life? I have rated it 5 because something is happening outside the classrooms at all times. The campus is active, and there are many ways to make contacts and hang out with your mates. What do you do in the course of your day in college? What do you like most? Most of my time is devoted to attending lessons and working on assignments. In addition to that, I spend my time hanging out with friends, visiting the library, and exploring the campus. I like the social aspect of studying in university most. What kinds of events do they organise at your university? How often do you attend them? There are many different events held during the year, such as social, society, talks, sports and cultural events. I participate whenever I have an opportunity, especially in social and student events. What student clubs and communities are there on your campus? There are many societies and clubs devoted to sports, culture, music, games, technology, academic studies and many other things.
Dislikes (Internships): Why did you rate 5 on Quality of faculty? The faculty are knowledgeable and explain things clearly. They are also supportive and have good subject knowledge. How accessible and approachable is the faculty in your department? They are easy to approach and usually respond to questions. We can contact them through email or speak to them after classes. Share details about the teaching methodology that you find unique in your department. There is a good mix of lectures, practical work and coursework. We get to work with real datasets and apply what we learn instead of only studying theory. How diverse is the teaching faculty in terms of nationality? The faculty is quite diverse, with staff from different countries and backgrounds. This also gives the department a good international feel.

Tips: The university doesn't provide any help regarding jobs; if you fail any subject, they don't even help you in resits. The University professors are busier with the undergraduates than they are invested in Postgraduate students. Try not to come to University of Glasgow.
Likes (Public transportation): The public transport is well connected in the city and the outskirts too. You can go to any place you want, as we travelled to a lot of places and liked them. The scenic views are beautiful around Glasgow; the only thing you will love about the city is its views.
Dislikes (Internships): University of Glasgow doesn't support students in finding jobs and even restrict to apply for Internships. I had an internship, and the University denied me access, saying that in a Master's course you can't do any internship unless it is given by my University.

excellent academics, with a huge international network
Tips: For someone from South Asia, it can be a massive cultural shock. Also, the Glaswegian accent is difficult to understand in your early days. I received the Chevening Scholarship, and I applied for it through their online portal. Overall, I would say it was a wholesome experience. The course, the university, and the city of Glasgow gave me the best memories.
Likes (Student Life): Apart from attending the usual classes, there are many seminars/workshops that you can attend to boost your network. Also, the library is awesome, students spend a lot of time there, especially during their research. There are different academic clubs, sports/adventure clubs, arts clubs, international communities, students support communities.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): As I returned to my country, I didn't really look for any options for permanent settlement there. However, there are a few friends who have had some decent opportunities to settle there. I personally would not permanently immigrate to this country, but would love to visit it often.

Tips: Offers a wide variety of courses for UG, PG, MRes and PhD. The college campus is beautiful, and courses are structured according to your convenience (you get to choose your optional classes and timings). The city itself is beautiful. The university also has a lot of clubs you can be a part of. There are a lot of events organised by the student committee. Research your course carefully. Understand the course structure (which will be provided on the university website). There's a lot of help available from faculty and student committees. Don't hesitate to contact them. Contact alumni from your course to know better.
Likes (Internships): My course had a compulsory subject called 'Work Placement'. This course is an excellent addition to the degree and helped us gain field experience related to what we studied. The faculty would provide us with a list of companies/ngos that were in need of student interns, and we did the internship for a course of 4 months.
Dislikes (Value for money): I think if you're planning to do this course, an engineering or architecture background would be more helpful. The course was very well structured, and I have no complaints about it. But the job opportunities for the future would definitely require you to be from a technical background, rather than a non-technical one, which I am from. This is a personal opinion since I am not from an engineering background. For a student with a teaching background who wishes to learn towards sustainability or building public space, this is surely an amazing degree.

Glasgow is about its people
Tips: Glasgow is very friendly and quite open to people of all cultures. The University also offers scholarships for Indian students (like the Merit one and a few others). You can always apply for a lot of funding opportunities during your course as well. I was quite satisfied. I focused on the coursework during the year without any part-time hassle and ended up with a Distinction. I must say that the coursework during the year is highly technical and stressful, especially if you are in STEM. The quality of education and the requirement of independent study and work are vastly different compared to India. You will not be spoon-fed, and you will be expected to have punctuality, effort, and time management all on your own while taking care of personal life as well.
Likes (Internships): The careers portals designed for students and graduates of UoG are pretty helpful, they also run a lot of events, consulting, and all-round help towards applications. A lot of the time, you can graduate and find academic work within the department itself as well, or a role in one of the admin/support teams of the college as well.
Dislikes (Part time work): There are plenty of on-campus part-time jobs, but there are also other students, and in a one-year M.Sc. course you are competing for some jobs that people here are experienced in. If it's a niche role in your subject, quite possible. I would suggest not doing a lot of part-time work during your studies if you want a really good grade. If you only care about passing your degree, then you can afford 10-15 hours of part-time work per week. You are allowed to work up to 20 hours as a student per week, and you get the NI pay, which is about a bit over u00a312 per hour.

Strong academics, supportive faculty and good career opportunities
Tips: The main thing to prepare for before starting the MSc CS at Glasgow is the academic style—it's very independent, so you'll be spending a lot of time doing self-study and research projects outside of lectures. The Scottish weather takes some adjusting to, but the campus vibe more than makes up for it.
Receiving the £10k scholarship made studying abroad way more manageable. The course content covers all the key areas like ML, data science, AI, and cybersecurity with really practical, project-based learning. Plus, faculty support is solid and the university brings in a lot of tech employers for career fairs throughout the year.

Tips: Scholarships are possible for international students, especially from India. The usual scholarship amount is £5,000; the maximum is £10,000. The university is good for exposure. Cultural shifts exist because there are not a lot of Indian communities in Glasgow as compared to England, especially London. Overall, the course and university are good for international students. They are welcoming.
Likes (Indian Food): Glasgow, as a city, offers a lot of choices across restaurants, across every cuisine. There are plenty of Indian restaurants to order from. Also, there are Indian shops as well for groceries where you can buy a lot of ready-to-eat food items from Haldiram and other brands, which makes cooking easier as well. These Indian grocery shops basically provide you everything essential for cooking as well.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Not a lot of options are available for international students; no direct university placements are happening as well. Based on the government guidelines, it’s very difficult for the forms for our intern students; even if they are doing that, they have to pay a minimum of £35,000 annually, and they are only allowed to work for one and a half years post-education, which makes it challenging to find a job.

UofG - The university that helped me discover myself
Tips: There was a big cultural shift. A lot of diversity is something that stood out to me. It was a wonderful experience interacting with people across the world and learning about their culture. I did not find any scholarship. I am extremely satisfied with the university. The course curriculum was also incredible detailed. The professors were extremely helpful in aiding my transition from engineering to physics research.
Likes (Indian Food): Food options were great, honestly. Lots of Indian restaurants all around. Lots of places to try a lot of cuisines. You can source prices and a lot of Indian spices as well. I did pack some spices myself from home, but there are also spices available to buy at local stores.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Chances of permanent settlement in the country are a bit of a problem right now due to stricter anti-migration laws. Nevertheless, it is a beautiful place to settle. Personally, I wouldn't settle in the UK. But that's just me XD. Although I can definitely see why it's a very attractive option. Beautiful place, wonderful people, and amazing weather (I love cold places).

A prestigious university with a vibrant, diverse community and endless opportunities to connect.
Tips: The campus is humongous and the city is very vibrant. I personally felt welcome and it's not like you will feel alone. There are so many societies in the University that you can join and meet people. I applied through a consultancy before coming here, you can do it alone as well but it makes the process easier. I received the India Merit Award which was based on my Undergrad marks. Check the University and the coursework you are applying to thoroughly. Check the job opportunities and be prepared.
Likes (Safety): The city is very safe, you can walk in the area at night, especially Glasgow West End and you won't feel anything. Students always have an app provided by the university that they can use whenever they run into any kind of problem that requires immediate attention. It's like a 24x7 service available over the call, irrespective of you being on campus or not. Luckily, I hadn't had any such experience. Glasgow is a very vibrant city full of diversity and amazing people.
Dislikes (Internships): You will have plenty of opportunities for an internship but the competition is fierce; you need to keep an eye out for internships as there are only a few spots. You might not get an internship if you are in your Master's as most of them are looking for undergrad students and if you are able to find some, it might not be in your relevant field of study. The university does offer a lot of internships for which you can apply. They are both paid and unpaid.

The college organises many events, such as Holi parties, Garba nights, Halloween events, summer barbecues, and industrial visits, and I participate in around 1-5 of them. There are also various communities for different religions and nationalities, such as Indian student clubs, student welfare groups, and mental well-being initiatives.
Dislikes (Indian Food): I prefer cooking for myself. Local restaurants mostly serve non-vegetarian food, and as a vegetarian, I've noticed many use beef oil. Additionally, Indian restaurants here don't taste authentic; the food is often overly sweet, and the prices are high compared to the quality and quantity.

Don't romanticize the struggles but prepare for a stressful but rewarding experience.
Tips: The university is very liberal, so sometimes viewing things from another perspective can be seen in a negative way. There was a sentence from my tutor, at the very first meeting of the year, that summarises the entire course: 'You get what you put into it'. If you work hard and put your effort into getting as much as possible out of the course, it will be a great experience. The subways and buses get you anywhere. All public transportation is easy to use and get familiar with. There is also the option to get a complete transportation pass, which you can travel on most public transportation with for free, if you're under 25.
Dislikes (Internships): There is not much guidance regarding internships. They are only mentioned occasionally, and the career service does not do a great job. It's not a target school for all subjects, so that might depend on your course. The study trip to Brussels is a good opportunity to network, but it might not be relevant for non-European students.

Education along with personality development.
Tips: Glasgow is very diverse and inclusive, and so friendly that I felt at home quickly. The University was also very helpful in my transition. I was looking for scholarships and unfortunately missed the deadline to apply for one. However, there are many people who got scholarships earlier. I'm still very satisfied with the university, and it's given me a lot of good opportunities to build skills and meet people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Likes (Public transportation): The campus is in the heart of the city. There are subways nearby, a train station is 20 minutes away, and there are bus stops in multiple locations. There are student discounts available and, most importantly, there are student pass facilities. The transportation is very convenient and decently affordable.
Dislikes (Value for money): The tuition fee is too much if there is no scholarship provided. The expenses on student accommodation, yearly living expenses, and extra-curricular activities all come to a lot of investment when it comes to the return of job opportunities. It would take a lot of years for us to recover in terms of money.
