Diverse, approachable, and success
Tips: Every student must be confident and not have social anxiety before coming to your master's program because networking is the first step and a primary part of getting connected in terms of jobs, academics, or anything else. Try not to be afraid of failures, as multiple failures will occur on the first day itself, and that’s how you start to learn.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The quality of faculty is enormously high at UCD. Their professionalism is above average. Average they’re teaching methodologies are unique, and they are also diverse in terms of nationality, very friendly and approachable, even for internships and teaching assistant jobs.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Try to prefer cooking for yourself, as Indian food rates and restaurants cost more than what a student can afford. Getting Indian groceries like basic tomatoes and onions is more affordable. Also, the food quality is higher in general, so students can stay healthy and eat well.

Tips: You have to walk a lot, public transport may just drop you 15- 20 minutes away from your destination. I received a 40% academic excellence scholarship due to my merits in my bachelor's degree. I'm very satisfied living in Ireland and studying engineering management at UCD.
Likes (Indian Food): There are plenty of options in restaurants and in grocery stores to eat as you do at home in your country. Eating outside is very expensive, and cooking yourself is much more feasible. Groceries are about 1/10th the cost of eating out or ordering in.
Dislikes (Part time work): There are limited part-time jobs on campus due to the sheer number of students on campus. Part-time work is manageable alongside studies. Part-time work pays enough to pay rent and bills and even save if you're lucky enough. You get paid around 900-1200 on a student visa, but most employers will give you over 20 hours if requested for it, paying you more.

UCD, where brilliance meet opportunities
Tips: The university has a very nice academic environment along with fine opportunities, but the fees are a bit high comparatively. So it's better to look through the fellowship/scholarship options and secure one if possible. Also, Dublin weather is not so nice most of the year; it's mostly cloudy and rainy without sun, so be prepared.
Likes (Permanent Immigration): It's easy to get permanent residence after 5 years. The tax regulations are very beneficial. The housing costs are a bit high but manageable. Also the people are nice. The city is multicultural, with a variety of Indian stores where you can get your everyday essentials and cook food to suit your home tastes.
Dislikes (Public transportation): The bus service is not that reliable. It's better to have a bicycle, which you can get at a discount price from the university. The tram/Luas system is very reliable, and also there is a train line along the coast with nice views. The train is very regular.

Tips: There is absolutely a cultural shift, but you need to always keep in mind that you cannot afford to be lazy but always be working. For both, a career and money for sustenance are important. - I did not get a scholarship; I applied, though! - I am satisfied enough, as in 4 out of 5, because I am loving the country.
Likes (Public transportation): Good buses and LUAS. Everything is well connected and easily accessible. Buses, the Dart, and the LUAS are the most used ones to travel within the city. Even if there are no direct buses, you get the connecting ones almost on time. I had a few friends who used to take connecting routes. Most visited places are connected nicely, and major routes are active frequently.
Dislikes (Internships): I did not see any big companies coming in for internships. No doubt the faculty did help us in making our CVs and organizing events, but more exposure and hiring could have been pushed to create an on-campus opportunity to grab an internship. - Yes, there are, but you need to find them by being active on job postings on their website or LinkedIn.

Tips: Know wisely, be prepared, and do not think about figuring out later; always have a backup. I did not avail myself of the scholarships but keep an eye out for those. Transition was smooth, depending on the people you find. Be curious, be gentle, be kind and always treat others with respect.
Likes (Part time work): The average payout is the minimum wage recently; it is pretty straightforward to be honest. UCD has many on-campus opportunities but the competition is tough, so be prepared. Even off-campus is not bad at all. The way to manage your work is to have a talk with your managers so that they know your availability, which will make it a little easier. Honesty is work, so do not take things too seriously but be responsible always. Also you can find work on the next day or maybe in 5 months so that is the luck factor.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Depends on the jobs you can find to sponsor. I always stress two things: your luck and experience so if you find one it is great. Always help everyone, no matter who or what race they are from. Be active, respect the community, and be proud of your hard work.

Higher fees and numerous modules in CSNL.
Tips: If you have skills, you can join any college and get a good job. This is a safe option and the only one as far as I know, that gives internship modules in the 3rd sem. TCD is more academically oriented. UCD is one of the most expensive options, but the CSNL has a lot of modules.
Likes (Student Life): It offers a lively, supportive and inclusive environment. The library is good, they have cafes, lots of buildings, a huge campus. They arrange cultural fests like Diwali and Halloween. Excellent campus, lots of options to enrol in extracurricular activities like gym, swimming, sports, etc.
Dislikes (Indian Food): 1 veg option may be available in every restaurant, and vegan restaurants are not good. Taste is below average, and the high cost of living.
I strongly prefer cooking my own vegetarian meals, but grocery shopping prices have been gradually increasing. Some restaurants offer cheaper takeaway and cash discounts.

Global learning experience at UCD.
Tips: Students should know and get prepared for the independent life cycle, cultural shift and much more, be open and you will adapt. Just give some time to Dublin. I got a full scholarship as my marks were above 95 in 12th grade. I am completely satisfied with UCD and I also have a full-time job now.
Likes (Value for money): Student life is vibrant and balanced. A normal day is lectures, practicals, events and food, spending time with friends; you get to meet students from all over the world. There are countless activities and sports on campus. Something for everyone so be open to everything.
Dislikes (Part time work): The faculty at UCD is highly approachable and supportive, professors are always open to questions and always challenge us to think out of the box, we have faculty from almost all the nation, the teaching way is a very practical approach. Assignments are also pretty smooth.

It is a really good option for those who want a multidisciplinary experience.
Tips: You will be quite busy due to assignments and exams but if you manage your time properly, you will have a lot of time for yourself. There is a housing crisis going on so start searching for accommodation as soon as possible. Due to current attacks on Indian students, you must be prepared to face some racism also as it is quite common in city centre area.
Likes (Student Life): Student life here at UCD is quite good. I have joined a few clubs like dancing and the international students society which also takes us on several trips. Our college organised several events such as a job fair to help us connect with different companies and their recruiters.
Dislikes (Internships): Getting an internship in my field is difficult even when you have experience. And international student companies usually prefer candidates who don't need sponsorship and are permitted to work full time. Initially, stamp2 people are permitted to work only 20 hours.

Tips: Before joining students should be aware that Dublin has high cost of living especially for accommodation so planning finance in advance is very important. It is also good to start looking for housing early and be mentally prepared for a competitive part time job market understanding your course structure and being ready for independent learning will help. People are friendly and welcoming and being part of student communities really helps in setting in. I did not avail any scholarships but UCD does offer merit based scholarships for international students these are usually applied for during the admission process and can provide partial fee waivers depending on your profile. Overall I'm quite satisfied with my university course and life in Ireland the academic experience exposure and quality of life have been very good making it a valuable international experience.
Likes (Public transportation): I rated public transportation as 5 because it is reliable well connected and makes computing around Dublin quite easy. The University College Dublin Smurfit campus is well liked to the city center and surrounding areas through Dublin bus routes and nearby access to luas and D-ART services Most student use buses regularly which run frequently and connect UCD to key locations like the City center Dundrum and other residential areas Public transport is also quite affordable with the student leap card offering discounted fares. Overall it is convenient accessible and efficient for daily travel.
Dislikes (Part time work): I went with a two for part-time work mostly because trying to land a job in Dublin is honestly such a grind at first. UCD doesn’t really have many roles on campus, and the ones they do have are impossible to get, so basically everyone ends up working in retail or at some random cafe. While you can technically do 20 hours a week, trying to balance that with a heavy course load is a lot tougher than it sounds. The pay is usually around 14 to 16 euros an hour, which is alright for groceries and stuff, but it definitely doesn't touch the actual cost of living here.

Tips: I haven’t availed any scholarship.
I'm working part time.
It's going to be hard but you've got to keep working plus learning even if your economic condition in India is between average and rich.
The university work gets really piled up, too much work in too less time.
Likes (Safety): I dont know about living in the city yet I live at university so I feel safe all the time.
The campus is huge and you almost get everything on campus you dont have to go anywhere else.
But I've been around and buses and all the hot areas have heavy security.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There are more Pakistani restaurants than Indian restaurants; moreover, the prices are skyrocketing.
Food doesn’t taste as it used to in India.
Some places like Andra Bhavan are really good for the taste but the prices aren’t for students its too high.

A demanding but valuable masters at UCD.
Tips: Before joining UCD, students should be prepared for a rigorous and fast-paced academic environment, especially in my course, which involves heavy coursework in quantitative subjects and coding. I am very happy with UCD and the quality of education, and the exposure Ireland offers in terms of career opportunities and a welcoming international student culture.
Likes (Part time work): I rated part time work as 5 because there are many opportunities both on campus and off campus. The working hours are generally flexible and manageable. On average, part-time jobs pay around 11-13 euros per hour, which is helpful for covering basic living expenses.
Dislikes (Safety): I rated safety as 2 because there are limited patrols and emergency facilities in some areas of the city, and I have experienced situations where public transport and street felt unsafe after dark. Although I have not faced any major incident personally, I believe better lighting and more police visibility would help students feel more secure.

Very uneconomical as it has poor value for money.
Tips: Be prepared to find jobs on your own; university only helps tailor your resume. You may face racism issues from your professors too. The transition was more difficult than expected. It takes time for you to adjust academically. Support services exist but they are often slow.
Likes (Student Life): On campus facilities are bad. One of the biggest issues is the cost of living. Rent is absolutely on the higher side. The following was my personal experience: I went to a restaurant, where they have a student discount. But later I realised that the food which they were offering was less than a normal meal.
Dislikes (Internships): Low exposure as internship opportunities are not facilitated by the university. Career services provide generic advice but there are no direct placements or internships. Students are expected to find a job on their own and hunt for an internship on their own.

Tips: This college is a prestigious college and has many advantages. It helps you build your character for the outside world and also teaches you a lot of things. The people in the college as well as the professors are really helpful and make you a smart and charming personality. The public transportation here is good but the frequency of buses is quite low. There are delays in transportation often times and therefore you have to manage your travel way in advance. Sometimes the connection buses to the location get cancelled or delayed but it's okay if you are travelling in advance. Good experiences.
Likes (Safety): The people around here are very good and helpful. The security concern is not a big deal because I live on the good side of the town. There are some issues in the city centre but they can be dealt with if necessary precautions are taken. The gardai are helpful and prompt in their response.

Tips: Once you receive your offer letter, apply for Studentenwerk (student accommodation) immediately. There is a huge waiting list for student housing allotments, but it is well worth it since the cost and facilities are affordable for students. I would most definitely also advise prospective students to learn German at least at the beginner level.

Settling for a University and City Due to Career or Circumstances
Tips: Finding accommodation here is challenging, so be prepared. Apply to Studentenwerk dorms as soon as possible, as the average wait is 12 months. Private accommodation is also difficult and expensive, so plan accordingly. Bureaucracy is straightforward so don't worry about it but here are the steps I've outlined (note that these might not apply to everyone): - City registration - Bank account - SIM card - Activate insurance - Get a health insurance card - Social security number - Tax ID - Apply for a president permit and get your RP card (usually around the end of your visa period before arrival) - Credit card (optional) - Activate your blocked account I'm familiar with scholarships like DAAD, the Deutschlandstipendium and the Niedersachsen Stipendium. For more details, visit their official website. You can apply for the first two scholarships once you receive your admission from your home country. Other opportunities I'd like to mention are the Erasmus+ and global exchange programmes. In Erasmus, you get a chance for 1-2 exchange semesters at universities in the EU or outside. In global exchange, you can go anywhere outside the EU. If funds are available, you might also get a scholarship through Erasmus.
Likes (Student Life): I feel so lucky to be a student at this educational institution. Be it due to the low cost of tuition fees ranging between u20ac300 and u20ac1000 per semester or the free travel tickets provided here, there are a lot of benefits. Moreover, there are dorms where students can live at a reasonable price, provided that you apply early enough, otherwise, you would need to wait. Apart from good education, research facilities, and faculty staff, something is always going on at the university. For example, in Gu00f6ttingen, where more than 30,000 students are studying at the University of Gu00f6ttingen, UMG, as well as in various other private institutions, there are always some events organised by these universities and their students. It is always fun. The best place at the university for me as a student is the central library. This is where I always go to study or work. There are different libraries at the university.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): For me, it deserves three stars since obtaining a job visa, work permit or permanent residency is relatively easy in Germany compared to the US. This is relatively easy since one does not require sponsorship from the company, all it requires of you is that you have a job if you are a foreigner. Nevertheless, obtaining a job may be quite difficult. From my experience, you have to be extremely skilful or know very good German to secure yourself a good job. In that case, it will depend on your job and money, hence the difficulty for me.

Tips: Students are more focused on what they want and what they don't want. Rather than the Indian education system, which is more competitive and unhealthy. I came through the scholarship. It's from Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung. Back then, it was available to only one Indian student. It covers all the basic minimum requirements of a person.
Likes (Post study jobs): Since I am a student in Social Sciences, I am not well aware of the situation in STEM courses. If you have a B1 level of German, then it's easy to get a job. Otherwise, with the rise of the right-wing party here, things can be difficult. However, it also depends on your socio-economic conditions; many Indian students, coming from well-off socio-economic backgrounds, find it difficult to get jobs.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Well, it's a student town, so most of the things are well connected. Cycling is the most used means of transport. The Deutschlandstipendium (which is covered in our semester fees) covers nationwide free travel with regional trains and subsidised food. Seeing the country's politics at the moment, no.

Research oriented friendly environment university
Tips: Goettingen is a very student-friendly city with students from all over the world studying many different fields of study, from law to STEM courses to economics and psychology. Mostly people speak English, and it's easy to transition here. I got DAAD scholarships for my thesis duration. I am very satisfied with the university, course, and country.
Likes (Safety): Goettingen is a safe place. I have not heard of any racism or security-related issues from any student in my 3-year master's journey. Also, as a president of the Indian association in Goettingen, I had very few to no cases where a major security issue came forward.
Dislikes (Internships): College doesn't have any platform to find internships; students have to manage it on their own, so sometimes it gets quite difficult also for new students when they have language barriers finding an internship on their own. I suggest you should start looking for an internship at least 6 months before.

Student-friendly with a calm atmosphere, Nature
Tips: Learn German and go deep into the courses you take here. Got Deutschlandstipendium, 300 euro / month, applied via university website—with excellent grades, volunteering experience, and community-oriented projects, you can get it, but only 5-10 of 195 Indian students got this in 2025. Well satisfied.
Likes (Safety): Germany is known for safety. The police team was very fast, and for emergency hospital issues, ambulances are very, very fast. Even if you close your bag, you can find it, but not your cycle. Germans are very harmless, I believe, and very pathetic.
Dislikes (Internships): Career advisors always help you and guide you on how to apply for jobs. No campus placements like India. Take courses that have compulsory internships; my course doesn't have one. Also, your internships are mostly full-time, I guess, so only during university breaks can you do them as per the rules.

University of Göttingen - Just where an ambitious student needs to be!
Tips: Yes, this city has affected me in so many ways. First of all, everyone loves rules here. No breaking laws, especially traffic rules and cleanliness Learning German is a necessity for entering the job market. Professors will guide you and help you a lot. Yes, there are scholarships available. I am quite satisfied.
Likes (Safety): Göttingen is a student city, so everyone here is friendly, kind, and understands English, for starters. There is a strict police department for any crimes The only problem is the commute during late hours, so one has to be prepared for that. It's advisable to not roam alone in the city after midnight.
Dislikes (Internships): I rated internships low because out here in Göttingen, your actual technical skills completely take a backseat to the German language. It’s the ultimate gatekeeper. Look, the university tries to help by putting on career fairs, running workshops, and offering career services, but honestly, all of that becomes pretty useless if you aren't fluent. When it comes down to actual hiring, companies only care if you can communicate with their clients in German. You could be an absolute genius at your subject, but the moment a role requires client interaction, you're locked out if you only speak English. It makes the job hunt incredibly frustrating because language skills end up mattering way more than your actual academic talent.

Quality Education in a Student-Friendly Environment
Tips: The biggest thing you need to realize before coming to Göttingen is that the university leaves you completely to your own devices. It’s entirely independent learning, so if your time management is messy, you’re going to struggle hard. Academically, the transition isn't terrible because the course is super flexible and research-focused, and the professors really know their stuff, but the actual culture shock is the real hurdle. People here are brutally direct, hyper-punctual, and obsessed with rules, which is a massive shift from home.
Also, do yourself a massive favor and learn basic German before you get here. It makes everyday life ten times easier, and honestly, trying to land part-time work or a decent internship without it is nearly impossible. On the financial side, I didn't get any scholarships, so I’m funding everything out of my own pocket. Because of that, I’ve been hunting hard for HiWi positions on campus and local internships just to cover my daily expenses and get some solid experience on my CV. Germany as a whole is awesome for cheap education and great transit, but your entire experience here hinges on how well you adapt and learn the language.

Studying Abroad: Learning, Growth, and Adaptation
Tips: If you're looking at Göttingen, the biggest reality check is that the academic system here is intensely research-driven and almost completely hands-off. You aren't going to have professors holding your hand through the coursework. If you don't have the self-discipline to manage your own time and stay on top of the reading, the intensive workload will bury you before finals even hit. The upside is that the program structure is incredibly flexible, so you actually have the freedom to steer the degree toward whatever specific niche you're interested in. Plus, living in a proper, historic student town like Göttingen is an amazing experience for international students. Germany as a whole offers a top-tier education system, and as long as you're willing to put in the work independently, the career opportunities down the line make the grind totally worth it.

Intense, research-oriented course.
Tips: For my course I'd say it's a pretty intense research oriented course. You cannot skip and skim through lectures and do last minute preparations. You have to prepare for exams like a junior researcher working in your lecturers lab, as the questions will be application-oriented in their specialized topics. It's one of the best college towns you can live in as a student. It's a small town and everybody knows everyone. Personally I love the walkability around the town and love the Deutschland ticket. When I feel like side-questing in life, Germany has wonderful, beautiful small villages that take me out of academic stress.

There are not many industries located in Göttingen.
Tips: University of Göttingen has been a great experience for me so far. The wide variety of international exposure with people from all over the world has helped me a lot in shaping me both academically and personally. The international office at the university has been pretty friendly as they help you initially in settling down and help with all the administrative stuff like city registration and housing. The cultural shift can feel quite huge at first, but the transition was smooth. Most of the people in Göttingen speak English and are quite helpful which makes day to day life a lot easier. I was not fortunate enough to receive a scholarship but I managed to get some part time jobs which I balanced along with my studies and helped for the entire duration of my stay here in Göttingen. Part-time opportunities are very common, especially in universities or Max Planck institutes which provide a unique opportunity to learn alongside earning. I would highly rate the university especially for the course, as it provides too much flexibility where I can pursue my own interests and choose subjects on my own. Germany provides a good platform for starting and building a career in Bioinformatics. I am highly satisfied with the course and the opportunity that the university provides, which align perfectly with my interests and motivation.
Likes (Public transportation): The city is well connected by buses. The buses are clean and frequent. They are quite affordable and convenient. Along with the university registration we get a Deutschland ticket, where one can take an unlimited number of rides through the city bus lines. The city is also well connected by train services, both high-speed (ICE) and regional trains.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Post study jobs are a bit tricky in Gottingen. There are not many industries located in Göttingen for the job roles especially for Bioinformatics and Computational Biology. However there are some good companies like Evotec and Sartorius that offer some permanent positions. There are some jobs in the University Medical Centre, Max Planck Institute. They offer various roles like Research assistant, Bioinformatician or research scientist.

It's one of the best places to study in Germany for a student.
Tips: The city is very student friendly with a huge multiethnic international student body. The faculty is varied and very big, especially for life sciences. There's a very active student association, a sizeable amount of student accommodation options as well.
Likes (Indian Food): There are a lot of good Indian restaurants that are spread out all over the town. Some offer student discounts. The quality of food is very good, and in most places nearly the same as what you'd get back home in terms of flavour. The prices are comparatively reasonable.
Dislikes (Internships): The internship market here is very saturated for most streams. Although you can land internships, those will mostly be academic. An industry or a hybrid internship is very competitive. Fluent German is almost a default expectation and non-German speakers will struggle even more.

Tips: This university is very well-known for its research oriented background thereby those students who want to pursue any STEM courses and pursue PhD specifically it's a great opportunity for them.
Secondly, the students must learn at least the B1 level of the German language before joining this university.
But overall this University is very student-friendly and there are a lot of opportunities to grow even as an international student. The cultural diversity and exclusiveness of this university make it the most preferred destination for Indian students especially.

Strong academics and friendly culture.
Tips: To be prepared for the course according to the European education system and not the Indian system. To not mug up things and write but to understand everything with a practical perspective. Most important is to interact with others, make friends and blend in with how others do.
Likes (Value for money): The organisation of the course, structure and execution of the course by the faculty make it top. The way every student is treated with respect and not just someone who paid for it feels it's incredible. The most important factor here would be discipline. That is very important to learn.

Göttingen is a great university city.
Tips: Göttingen is known as a university city, so it's full of students which offers you many opportunities in many ways, in terms of making new international friends and joining different study clubs or organisations, etc. People from this city are not very conservative, and you can easily adapt to the culture and people over here. Due to the many universities, the number of students (youth) is more so it makes a big difference in making your cultural difference wide, as there are many international students and also students from different parts of Germany. Talking about scholarship, personally, I didn't receive any scholarship. But one can apply for Deutschland stipendium or Niedersachsen stipendium. I'm pretty much satisfied with this university in terms of academia, however I feel a lack of cultural events or inter department competitions. I'm loving the student life in Germany, as you can develop many skills, grow yourself more, deepen your knowledge in your area of interest, and at the same time can earn money by doing part time or mini jobs.
Likes (Quality of faculty): All faculty members in every department are very experienced and experts in their own field. They are very friendly and humble, always open to discussions and clarifying our doubts. Talking about particularly my field, we have lectures from experts in the field which make the whole module way more informative and give deep insights into that topic. Our teaching faculty members are from different nationalities, and I would say it's pretty much diverse.
Dislikes (Public transportation): As this city is relatively smaller than other cities, there are only bus options, whereas other cities have trams, ubahn, Sbahn, metro, etc. Even though each part of the city is well connected to each other, due to less options of transport it takes quite a long time to reach shorter distances. For students, we get a Deutschland ticket so we don't have to pay anything for any transportation.

Transformation and learning something new.
Tips: You will see cultural differences but you will get adjusted. It's best if you know how to cook for your meals. If your course requires you to finish a certain level of German or English level try to finish and submit it as soon as you can. You will have stress free time during university. I love my university and all the students and professors are pretty cool.
Likes (Safety): I have travelled and have walked around at midnight. It's a pretty safe and friendly small city and less tourists. There is an international office where you can go and talk about your difficulties and they actually care and try to help you out. The city is quite peaceful.
Dislikes (Quality of faculty): Faculty are good. But for my course, I see them for two to three classes and I don't see them again but you can always contact them through email. And I really love how we get hands on experience in the wed labs and exposure to different labs in the city.

University of Gottingen is good.
Tips: I think there's a shift in mindset when one moves abroad and develops a network of people from different countries. This helps broaden perspectives. The DAAD scholarship gives 800 euros per month as well as round flight tickets and health insurance. I would definitely recommend the University of Gottingen.
Likes (Value for money): The tuition fee is very minimal in public universities in Germany. It was about 250 euros when I was studying there. This "tuition fee" goes towards your public transport allowance, student union membership, as well as subsidised food in the canteens.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Germany is open in terms of visa access. It is very difficult to get a job if you do not have native fluency in German and do not have a local network to help you get jobs. There is also a growing anti-immigrant sentiment. Germany is great to live in for a few years and get a good education. But permanent immigration opportunities are a bit difficult to come across.

Life in Germany: A quiet world.
Tips: The cultural shift is something huge that I had to go through. It is very quiet here which was definitely a surprise to me. But the course coordinator was more than welcoming to us and made the local bureaucracy very easy. The course is really good and prepares everyone for the outer world.
Likes (Value for money): For my course, there was a stipend that every student received each month. This stipend is enough to cover the insurance and the living costs. It was also covered by travel expenses when I went around Europe and also back home. The university also increased the stipend once due to inflation and it helped.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There are a lot of Indian restaurants but the food is really Europeanized and hence doesn't really taste like it does back home. The prices are okay ish one meal can be somewhere around 20 euros now. I like to cook food and hence prefer eating inside only.

Tips: Things students should know before coming here -
Knowledge of the German language is crucial, even if your course is in English. Acclimating to a new culture takes time. Germans can be different from Indians; they're less social and follow rules to an immense degree. Niedersachsen scholarship and the Deutschlandstipendium are available for students. Overall, I am satisfied with my experiences.
Likes (Value for money): There are no tuition fees because the University of Göttingen (also known as The Georg-August University) is a public university. Public universities do not charge tuition. Students need to cover accommodation, health insurance, and living expenses. Groceries cost roughly 180-200 euros a month. Statutory health insurance is 144 euros, and the average rent is 300 euros. Public transport is free.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): There is a finding work visa available after graduation which is quite helpful. Germany is generally pro immigrant making it easier to settle here. However it's important to note that German language proficiency is crucial for this. I would like to immigrate permanently if given the opportunity.
