A Decent University Experience with Realistic Expectations
Tips: It is good for the students to note that despite the fact that the university could be considered cheap compared to other universities in London, living costs would be high. Adjusting to a new country entails culture shock, change in lifestyle, and learning how to handle finances independently. Students need to learn how to budget and look for possible part-time jobs since a side hustle might be required in order to cope with day-to-day living in London. University life might not fully match all the expectations, thus, realistic goals and academic work need to be prioritized.
Likes (Public transportation): I have marked 5 for Public Transportation since the university has an excellent connection with the rest of London. There is a DLR station and a bus stop situated right outside the university, which makes it very convenient to go to various places of the city through public transport. Through public transport, one can easily reach the neighboring areas as well as other important locations. Generally speaking, the transport system is quite accessible and reasonably priced as well.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Rating of 1 was given to me for Permanent Immigration/Settlement Options as I do not have much knowledge about these options. I am not aware of the criteria, the application process, and what options exist for permanent settlement. It is necessary for me to get detailed information regarding this so that I can understand the process of immigration and settlement in the future.

The University is excellent and beautiful.
Tips: The University of East London is very diverse, and you all will meet students from all over the world. The transition was smooth overall; at first I had to adjust to the teaching style, but since London is very multicultural, I felt welcome and adapted quickly. I did receive a scholarship of 3000 pounds, and I am very satisfied with my experience. Living in the UK, especially in London, gave me international exposure, helped me grow personally and professionally, and allowed me to meet people from different cultures.
Likes (Student Life): I used to spend time attending lectures, seminars, and workshops in my college days. What I liked most was following my hobby alongside this. A lot of events are organised throughout the academic year, such as cultural festivals, parties, meetups, and more. Mainly, I used to indulge in sports activities, such as football.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): As everyone wants to do a full-time job here, it is not as easy as it seems. Nowadays, it is quite a difficult task to establish yourself here. Think twice before coming here, do not take things casually, stay updated all the time. Do not think of living a lavish life here because you need to work hard to find a job here.

A Good International Study Experience
Tips: Students will have to adjust to the change in academic settings and to a new way of life in a different culture. The change was not difficult for most, except there were few changes in culture and academics to get used to. In addition, students need to budget well and find accommodation and off-campus jobs.
Likes (Value for money): Part-time opportunities are quite good, especially in retail supermarkets, where I actually worked at Sainsbury's, and in warehouse, customer service, and delivery-related roles. There are both on-campus and off-campus opportunities, and they pay on time and depends on the role and working hours.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Post-study job opportunities are available, but finding a company to sponsor a work visa can be challenging, especially for fresh graduates and international students. There are opportunities in IT, finance, healthcare, engineering, business, and other sectors, but sponsorship depends on the employer and role.

The university where there is a mixture of multiple cultures.
Tips: Before joining college, students have to make up their minds, the UK is not the same as India. There is a lot of change in culture. But the culture in the UK is very good. Yes, I got 2000u00a3 of scholarships, and my education counsellor helped me with that. I was very happy with the university, course and the culture over there.
Likes (Part time work): There are many opportunities for part-time work in the UK. But initially, a few struggle a bit to find a job, and a few get it immediately. And most of the part-time opportunities rely on referrals. The average payout for part-time work is 12.5u00a3 per hour.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Many companies can offer sponsor visas for work. But there is no good guidance on which companies provide such services. And I am not sure about the packages. Maybe it should start at around starting from 45000u00a3 per annum.

Amazing university experience with a good work-life balance.
Tips: In this university, if you pay full tuition in one go, you get a discount. I'm really satisfied with the services during my academic journey. They're very supportive in terms of education and everything for international students. They're guiding us throughout the journey and for our future as well.
Likes (Indian Food): London has many options for Indian food. You will find an indian restaurant every one kilometre away and it is loaded with good food which won't make one feel homesick. Do not forget to show your id card since student discounts are almost offered everywhere. I prefer cooking by myself since it's cheaper compared to eating outside food, and it's a healthier option.
Dislikes (Part time work): It is difficult to find part time job this year related to your field of study. It is a bit difficult to manage your part-time and classes in the beginning. The payout is raised from this year and is good. It completely depends on the student to manage expenses.

A great choice for academic excellence
Tips: Transitioning after coming back to India was not that tough because there was no cultural shift I experienced compared to living and studying in London. I received a scholarship awarded by my school for my master's, where I completed my 12th standard. I'm very satisfied with my University because of the quality of studies and extracurricular activities, which provided me with overall growth and development.
Likes (Value for money): The course quality and learning experience justified the investment. The exposure, career focused curriculum provided a strong value for the tuition fee. The teachers are really open to listening and solving your problems, and if you have any doubts, you can email them. Also, the Campus is very good and aesthetic.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): University of East London is a good university but I wouldn't say that it is exactly supportive when it comes to the staff. The course is very helpful for your career in any of the field. Due to the staff not being so supportive, there isn't much assistance when it comes to post study jobs.

It's very beautiful and riverside
Tips: Good enough to know the background of the college student who should take the correct decision to come abroad because here life is difficult and challenging, so be prepared for everything because my country and new place are different, so be prepared for everything.
Likes (Safety): The campus and faculty are good. The campus is very beautiful and riverside, so we can SEE water in the front and background of the college; so we can SEE the airport because of the corners; so we can SEE the takeoff of the plane, and it is very beautiful.
Dislikes (Internships): Because all are very beautiful lectures and with no discussion and distribution and no discrimination and no recommendation and good teaching faculty and friendliness in nature, this is helpful, and this helps in our future careers, and we get jobs and other things.

Mini Asian college occupied with Asian peoples
Tips: My best advice would be please don't select third-tier universities for management programs unless you have some known professionals in the industry because getting a job is a nightmare in management. The professors won't even help you to get an unpaid internship or volunteering opportunities, and again, it is my experience and my perspective.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Apart from someone from the health sector, the jobs are highly competitive unless you are getting some role through graduate programs. The government is tightening the immigration rules, and most of the employees are not willing to provide sponsorship for the employees.

In short, it is very international student friendly university.
Tips: In India we used to have exams; here we need to submit a lot of assignments. I would suggest not making assignments from outside since you can get caught and the tutor can fail you. It's better to make the assignment by yourself. I took a scholarship; I got it through my academic excellence. I applied through the university's official website and contacted the team. I am very much satisfied they are very helpful towards international students.
Likes (Public transportation): From university to home, the public transport is very convenient. Even the university provides free shuttle bus services to travel from one campus to another. The TFL is very good and very convenient. It is a little expensive but very convenient. There are buses and tubes.
Dislikes (Internships): The university has a separate team helping the students in getting internships, but I feel the team isn’t that reliable. The student has to help themselves to get the internship since they have a bunch of students who don't even get the part-time job.

Good university. I enjoyed alot during my LLM.
Tips: Actually, it's a good university. It's worth the money, and opportunities are good. You can work in the university itself. Just try to involve yourself decently; don't force too much. Also, you can get help from the student hub, but don't call them; they can't help that way much. Rather, visit them. They help you financially as well if you can't get a job in the UK.
Likes (Public transportation): Transportation is good. I was living off campus near Whitechapel for some time, and then I changed it to Kennington. But even if you are on campus, they have free shuttle service. You don't have to hustle a lot. You have tram, DLR, Tube, and bus options.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Nowadays, as a rule the situation in the UK is changing. It is difficult to land a job where you can get sponsorship and then settlement. Although if you work hard, you can get the right option. It's difficult but not impossible. So give it a try. It will be good.

Be prepared before you come to the UK.
Tips: If you are coming to UEL for any of the MBA or Cyber courses, please expect most of the students to look and talk like you. Indian students are going to make up 80-90% of the class attendance, so culturally, there wasn’t much of a difference, really. Sort out your accommodation beforehand and make sure you keep everything in writing. House scams are way too common; try to make your payments through credit cards. It’s easier to get refunds on them if you ever get scammed. I was a Football and cricket national-level player, so I did get 30% scholarship on my fees. Overall, I was a little disappointed by my course. The faculty was good, but not permanent, so we didn’t always know who was going to teach us. I’d have also liked some more classes and group activities.
Likes (Public transportation): London has one of the best transportation systems in the world. Not just the tubes, but the buses are a big part of your daily life. It’s best if you can come prepared about the different types of tube lines there are, but even if you study for the tubes and buses around the area you’re going to be living, it will do the job.
Dislikes (Part time work): Since the limit for students is only 20hr/week, it was quite manageable for me given I had classes only on the weekends. On campus jobs are tough to find, so unless you have a reference, my advice would be to find a job off campus. Most jobs pay minimum wage; if someone offers less than that, please don’t work for them. You can find yourself in trouble.

Difficult to get employed post-study.
Tips: If you want to study here to get a taste of the multicultural environment, this university isn’t for you. You will find 95% familiar and friendly Indians with whom you can make friends and hang out. If you do not have a preference in that, carry on. Academically, there isn't anything great about this university; lecturers do their job, and they are not nosy. Not a lot of stress attending classes or in submissions.
Likes (Indian Food): There’s a lot of abundance for Indian restaurants and chains in this country. Some are really good, some are not up to the mark. Indian grocery stores are available everywhere if you want to shop and cook at home to get a feel of home. But you wouldn’t really miss home in terms of food.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Students who come to the UK are struggling to find a job, as we all know. More than 20,000 students travel back to their home country after paying for PSW to stay here, and eventually give up. It has been very tough out here in this country as there is a lot of competition. Business analysts, finance roles, and Hospitality Management are where you can now find roles, but they also expect a minimum of 2 years of experience. Freshers would struggle here post study unless you know someone internally in a company to get recommended.

Resourceful and industry-oriented university.
Tips: UEL is a very conducive and career-oriented university. Multiple avenues are available for a variety of support, including mental health, financial help, and career advice. Although I did not avail any resources, I can attest that professors are very helpful and amiable. I would recommend doing in-depth research about career options and the job market after the course you are interested in, so you are not struggling to find employment post completion of studies.
Likes (Indian Food): London is one of the world's most multicultural cities, and authentic food from almost every country and culture can be found in the right areas. Eating out regularly can become expensive, especially for students, budget options and deals are always available.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Completing an eligible course gives you the option to apply for the Graduate Route visa being changed to 18 months from 24 months, which allows you to work full-time in any job. However, the Graduate Route visa cannot be extended, and if one wants to remain in the UK, eligibility must be assessed for other visas, such as Global Talent or Skilled Worker.

You'll feel lonely, sometimes you will feel like it's a wrong decision when you struggle to find part time, complete assignments but trust me, it is going to be worth it at last. The climate is so wonderful here.
Tips: I haven't experienced much cultural shift because of my university. Most of the students are from India, I just found new cultural things which mainly get celebrated here in London such as Easter, Halloween and Christmas. I get scholarship on the basis of my marks in my Bachelors and 12th class, because in my 12th class I scored more than 80 marks out of 100 and my board was CBSE. The allowance was in full concession. I'm completely satisfied with it.
Likes (Safety): Every place is captured with CCTV 24x7. Easy to access train and bus at midnight, which also have cctv. While travelling on the bus, I lost my bus card. I was not able to get on the bus because of that but the driver was kind, he allowed me to just by seeing my university card.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Rules get changed if you want to get a permanent settlement in the country. You have to live in the country for at least 10 years. And getting a sponsorship job its all bit difficult. But if you get the job and it also sponsors you, then it's best to survive in the country as you have to prove your value to the company. I would like to permanently immigrate to this country.

Diverse and career focused learning.
Tips: A student should know that UEL offers a diverse, career focused learning environment with a strong support service and modern facilities especially at the Dockland campus. They provide good transport links through the DLR, on campus accommodation and helpful services like the career zone and 24/7 libraries.
Dislikes (Internships): As of now, in my course, I have not seen any internship programme yet or might be I lack knowledge about internships but that's my honest opinion so far about my university.

My university is very friendly and welcoming.
Tips: You should know your university, academic programs, key deadline, campus resources, student supports, student services, be aware of facilities like the swimming pool, career central, club, understand tuition scholarship and housing options. Knowing this helps your native campus life be effective and take full advantage of your university experience.
Dislikes (Part time work): Part-time work opportunities on or around campus are generally good but can vary based on the campus location filled with students and individuals. Many colleges offer on campus jobs such as a Library assistant, researcher or academic roller that are flexible with class schedules.

My universe is very friendly when it comes to help students.
Tips: I think they should just know the basic knowledge about what a university offers to their international students such as academic programs, key deadlines, campus resources, student support, student services, rules, be aware of facilities like the library, career, Central and clubs scholarship, and even get some knowledge about accommodation, housing accommodation and etc.
Likes (Indian Food): I gave 5 stars rating to food option in my country of origin because of the incredible diversity, culture, richness and availability of both traditional and modern cuisine. One of the main reason for this high rate is the variety of regional food available is nice.
Dislikes (Public transportation): In London, public transport is really good. The only problem is that sometimes you can get very crowded and you might have to wait for half an hour for your bus or train. That's the only reason I don't like but rest, I think it's very good.

Good university for pursuing BSc in CS.
Tips: I couldn't believe that everyone at this university was super friendly and easily approachable. I was surprised to receive a 3,000 scholarship while applying to the programme for my first year, so that's a nice plus. I'm happy here, although I can't say it's one of the top choices out there. This is a really good university if you are looking for a college that is in an area with city life. You will not find it here if you're looking for something with more greenery and a rural setting. If you want to attend a university where you will be helped as much as possible, this is the place for you. Every member of the staff, faculty, and administration is extremely dedicated to helping students thrive in their studies. The level of support you get from your tutor is something else. They are there for you at any time of day, any day of the week, no matter where you are. You can contact them for any questions or concerns you have about your modules. I'm sure I won't ever regret coming to this university.
Likes (Internships): They do help us or guide us 100% for our internship. When I was trying to get my internship, it was hard for me because, as a student who doesn't have any idea about the system going around in this country, it was hard. But the tutor really helped me to get one and guided me through it.
Dislikes (Value for money): The fees are a bit higher for international students, and local students pay only half as much for the same courses. I paid 12,700 GBP for my first year before scholarship, but it's increasing every year, which makes it a bit harder for me. Then one of my mates in the programme was paying way lessu20149,000 GBP per year. That disappoint me a lot.

Amazing college experience. Try to learn French to have an easy transition.
Tips: After coming here, my transition has been generally positive, though it did involve adjusting to some cultural difference. One noticeable shift was that markets are close on Sunday and after 8 pm every day. People are polite and friendly. Grocery shopping did require the use of ChatGPT for frequent translations, French, German, Dutch, etc. Has an influence here. I didn't get a scholarship because I didn't apply for admission before the scholarship deadline, but I did meet a few people who got one; all details are there in University website. Overall satisfied with the University, course and country. Need to learn an additional language eventually. There is free transport in the country, and the university organises a lot of events every week and sports/well-being sessions everyday free for students to attend.
Likes (Safety): The safety is good. I came back from Halloween at 2 am train ride from Luxembourg city to Esch-Sur-Alzette, i.e., around 40min travel and then walked from the Gare train station to my home and it was very safe. Overall too, safety is quite good, there are people around and security officials around most of the time.
Dislikes (Part time work): Part-time work comes with language barriers for someone who knows French can easily get part time work. For only English options part time work is very limited, specially fif we are looking for normal hospitality work as well, it would require knowledge of an additional language over and above English making it little but difficult to get work around.
