Strong academics but limited opportunities.
Tips: The academics here have surprised me in a good way as the economics courses carry a lot of depth in them and you will be expected to have your foundation sorted. It is competitive and the work pressure can really increase around exams especially. Office hours have been helpful and the campus has a lot of other things to look forward to as well.

Tips: There are both pros and cons to studying here but in my case, I feel studying here has suited me as my degree has a lot of potential both here as well as in my home country. Try not to overpack while coming here keep only the essentials such as adapters and masalas and maybe stationery. Most of the things make sense in buying from here itself. You can also connect with alumni or mail student services if there are any major concerns, as sometimes they help out with scholarship options and other things as well.

Faculty and learnings have made it worthwhile.
Tips: With internships and job placements, the university has a limited role and you will have to rely on your own networking as well as through professors for any real assistance. My course involves a lot of theory based classes as well as projects which can become intense. My faculty has been helpful and the exposure has brought a lot of learning but it's pointless to invest too much in coming here without a decent scholarship.

Very fulfilling, yet a remote place.
Tips: I came here without knowing what to really expect, but so far I have not been disappointed. You'll get a slightly small-town feel to this place, but campus life is filled with events and games. Have a healthy work-life balance as it is easy to close yourself in the midst of work and assignments.
Dislikes (Internships): Haven't had much luck from the university when it came to internships, and I did land a decent internship in India, but that was also on my own. Professors can help out and keep an updated LinkedIn as well. Attend career fair and you should study the market as well.

Very transformative journey.
Tips: The format for every class is different, but most of them encourage discussion and debates so whether you like it or not you'll have to participate. My scholarship of 10,000 USD helped make things a lot more affordable and smoother for me; otherwise, I would not have been able to come here. However, with the current policies in place, expecting a job is beyond far fetched. The weather in Denton changes all the time as well.

UNT is a public university where there's a lot of opportunities for International students.
Tips: After moving here, I think it has been very easy to transition. There was no culture shock. I wish they had more scholarships for international students especially Indian students. Though, I am satisfied with the curriculum, and I think it is flexible enough to help students in this day and age.
Likes (Indian Food): We have a lot of Indian restaurants where Indians and International students are crazy about, especially Indian food trucks around the campus have high demand among all the students and on campus communities where it is crowded and busy in the evening times every day.
Dislikes (Value for money): The tuition fee at University of North Texas is expensive compared to other state universities. It is designed as the course structure is labelled. There are different electives to explore in each and every course which is out of their department group.

Tips: UNT is a public research university in Denton, Texas with strong programs in business, engineering, computer Science and the arts. The campus is large and lively with affordable living costs compared to other U. S. cities. Students should be prepared for a structured but manageable academic workload. Denton is a safe, welcoming college town with easy access to Dallas and Fort Worth. Early engagement with campus resources like the Career Centre and tutoring helps academic success. Transitioning to UNT was smooth. The American education style emphasises participation, critical thinking and independent work. Professors encourage questions and discussions. The campus diversity made cultural adjustment easier. Support services and student groups for international students provide community and guidance. I received a merit based International Excellence Scholarship of $4,000 per year, awarded based on my academic record during admission; no separate application was needed. Scholarships at UNT help reduce tuition and are renewable with good academic performance. I'm very satisfied with UNT. The courses are relevant and taught by experienced professors. Facilities like labs and libraries support learning well. Career fairs and networking events provide good industry exposure. The campus life is vibrant and inclusive and Denton's affordability is a big plus. UNT offers a strong academic and cultural experience.

This is the most affordable and best university in Denton.
Tips: This college has a lot of Indian students and faculty. If you want to experience the culture of Native Americans and interact with them, you might want to go to a different university. However, if you like Indian food, this is the place for you. There is a lot of competition for a few positions. To get an internship, you need to have the right skills and knowledge. Unlike India, this country seeks to employ people who have core skills in the particular subject they are dealing with.
Likes (Indian Food): There are more than 30 Indian restaurants in Denton, as well as many Indian grocery stores and food trucks. You can even find Pakistani and other Asian cuisines in some places. It's a great place to try a variety of Indian food.

Vibrant transition to this place.
Tips: Before coming to UNT, know it's a lively place with lots to do. Adjusting here means getting used to a new culture, which can be fun but tricky. I didn't get any scholarships, but UNT offers them based on different things. Overall, I'm happy here. The classes are interesting, and there's always something going on, but getting used to American life took some time.
Likes (Student Life): I rate a student life a 4 because it's lively and diverse. A typical day involves classes, hanging out with friends, and attending club meetings or campus events. I love the sense of community and the variety of activities available. Events range from concerts to academic conferences and I try to participate when I can. Thriving at my college: A satisfying journey
Tips: Before joining this college, students should know about campus facilities, academic programs, extracurricular activities, and campus culture. After transitioning here, I experienced some cultural shifts, but I adapted over time. I received a scholarship by working as a teaching assistant, which waived my 50% of the course fees. Overall, I am very satisfied with my university, course and country.
Likes (Indian Food): The rating of 5 was give for food options from my country of origin because there are several Indian restaurants like Desi Adda, Namasthey Denton, Babai band etc. offering a wide variety of Indian cuisine. The average pricing at these restaurants is around $20 per person. However, as a student, I prefer cooking myself because it is more affordable than eating outside.
Dislikes (Public transportation): I rated the public transport 3 because it is okay and needs to be improved, there is a service called "go zone" with which we can travel in Denton and also in Lewisville with just 2 dollars for each booking, apart from that if you want to travel to other places public transport will not be helpful.

Diverse culture, several opportunities!
Tips: The university offers diverse culture and opportunities to its students. The faculty members at UNT are quite helpful and friendly. As per my journey till now, I have been introduced to so many wonderful peers and professors, all of them rooting for my successful career in Data Analytics. The campus life is not dull, you can join several clubs to meet and greet new people. There is only one problem, that is parking. Since there are a lot of students enrolled, it is difficult to find a parking spot after the morning classes. So if you are planning to take your own vehicle, try to be here as early as possible!
Likes (Value for money): I would say UNT is good value for international students, as it provides quality education. The professors are very good and knowledgeable. They hold good academic and industry experience and are quite helpful. However, if you feel it is expensive for you to study at UNT, you can enroll on various scholarships offered by the university.
Dislikes (Internships): To land on a good internship opportunity at UNT is a bit difficult. However, you can enrol on various courses organised by UNT, such as resume or cover letter workshops, mock interviews, etc. To help you upscale your skills. Personally, I connected with a lot of university alumni in my field to get a good internship opportunity at their company or startup. After contacting them, I received a few good opportunities from the alumni. If this approach does not work out for you, you can also take part in various events organised by the university to get an internship with the industry partners of UNT.

Great Alumni base, supportive faculty and life at UNT.
Tips: UNT is welcoming, clean and full of opportunities. The faculty and staff are incredibly knowledgeable, passionate and supportive. My interactions with the dedicated staff members and mentors proved to be transformative. The best thing about UNT is its extremely diverse student population. I also appreciate the variety of academic programs and extracurricular activities available. During my time at UNT, I feel I really developed myself and I am grateful for the opportunity. Likes (Public transportation): UNT campus is quite huge and car parking is difficult to find during peak hours. Also, the parking pass is quite expensive. Bus is the cheaper option to travel and additionally, you do not have to worry about searching for a parking spot. Also the pick-drop to college is free provided you show them the student ID of the university.
Dislikes (Quality of faculty): The professors at UNT are amiable and experienced in the subject matter they teach. However, some professors at UNT push political views which could have a negative effect on some students. Besides that, the professors encouraged critical thinking, promoted engaging discussions and provided valuable insights. I was impressed by their expertise and their willingness to support students.

Be patient, this is a great place to be.
Tips: Try to land an on-campus opportunity because that way you'll be getting a good allowance and fee waiver. Keep an eye on events that are happening in the university and please go through the official mail if you come to UNT. The documentation process is a bit cumbersome, come with a bit of patience. The good professors are always in demand so be there in their classes early as all the seats get filled. If you are coming for an IT or CS major then it's high time! Frisco Dallas is blooming and booming with top companies and I'm sure that if you have the skills, you'll land a good job here! You'll also get a SIM from the university but don't use that sometimes its network is not good so is the data service, get yours from outside! It is a bit pricy but definitely worth it. Oh! And there's also a vegan cafeteria on campus which made me feel good every time I passed by. All in all, it was a good experience for me and has helped me to be where I am today.
Likes (Student Life): The college has many students coming from diverse backgrounds so it was always a treat to interact with mates in and out of classrooms, got to learn so much about different cultures and countries via word of mouth. UNT has many student clubs too, since my graduation many things have changed and they've become better only, more structured. Campus bustle during Superball games, Basketball, Basketball is good and it was always an adrenaline rush to cheer alongside Scrappy the eagle which is the college Mascot. Outside of the campus too, nightlife is pretty good. I don't think that a student coming from any part of the world will feel bored in and around the university.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There are not many Indian restaurants in Denton. Back when I started studying in UNT, if I or my friends ever craved Indian food, we had to travel to Dallas or Forth Worth and both of these cities were around 40 miles from Denton. Gradually, Sangam restaurant opened in Denton and I've had food there which as per my taste buds is good! I wasn't expecting that since there aren't many Indian restaurants around and surprisingly, the monopoly turned out to be good. Biryani and samosas are good there. Now Indian green can treat their buds without having to travel too far.

Tips: I have changed a lot both inside and out since coming here, and I can definitely see the change in the way I present myself. I got a scholarship by mailing the university, and I was very satisfied with my university, my course of study, and, most of all, the country itself. Definitely, everybody dreams of coming here.
Likes (Safety): Student life is definitely good over here. You have plenty of time to build up your skills, and you have the right faculty and friends who will be here to help you. My average day would be going to school and doing some certifications, because the college even helps with certifications. They have sponsors for the certifications, and there are also many different events in which you can participate, like debate competitions. There’s a library. There are a lot of resources, and they have everything you need.
Dislikes (Part time work): The faculty here is super supportive and is always ready to help if a student needs it, not only in the classroom but also outside it. The faculty is quite approachable, and they are always ready to help, and teaching is not like India, where it is very strict and there is an exam every time. Instead, it's very liberal and something which will give you more global knowledge than just inside the classroom.

Reality Check of US Master's degree and Universities.
Tips: The majority of the population here are Indian students so if you are comfortable with it you can adjust well. There is a lot of competition for everything, from food banks to on-campus and off-campus jobs. So only come here if you are open to struggle along with your academics. Things are expensive but if you can figure out a way you can spend less maybe less than average around 700-800 including every other expense. Also, money here plays a lot of factor. Overall university is fine and it's good only if you are ready to adjust your way of life meaning you are ready to take every free thing and are okay with hustling for everything. Regarding scholarships, everyone gets a certain amount of scholarships, 20-30% is ideal, they have to give it otherwise no one will come. But if you have better academic scores or are better in sports you can try for additional grants, so go for it. There were good times and bad times as well in Campus life. The course was good but they can do better. For finance, there are good professors you just have to find a way to get additional knowledge from them. The US itself is money money-giving country if you can find a way you can have a better life otherwise you will be with every other struggling student. Also during the summer, there are high chances of robbery so be careful at night time.
Likes (Public transportation): The university is located next to a main road and has a bus stop in front of the university that connects to places like Walmart, Target, Best Buy, and grocery stores. Most of the buses are free, and if you are traveling in the local area, there is a free shuttle that runs from the university.
Dislikes (Part time work): The campus is small, and most of the on-campus jobs are reserved for Bachelors. Only TA, RA and some jobs are open for everyone so 200 applications for 2 jobs. A minimum wage is paid, and everything is flexible but too much intake for a small campus. Working an off-campus part-time job is illegal unless authorized by the university which cannot be possible for the first year. On top of that Massachusetts is one of the expensive states. So groceries and the cost of living are high.

The college life is very good but the part time jobs are hard to find
Tips: Here we can find most of the Indian students. The studies are good. The scholarships are very helpful but there are hidden charges which cost a lot of money. I am satisfied with my university, course and country but the only problem is that we don't get any part time.
Likes (Public transportation): Here the public transportation is free of cost and we can get any route bus every thirty minutes. It is free throughout the city. But, if we want to go out of the city then we need to buy a ticket which is not free. The buses are the only public transportation which is free.
Dislikes (Part time work): The on-campus part-time jobs have tough competition and the off-campus jobs are hard to find. It's been 3 months since I got here but I haven't got any job yet. We can easily manage the part-time and academics because we don't regularly have classes. So it is manageable.

Tips: If you have no other option you can join this university and get a graduate degree and get into the job market as soon as possible. Nothing to worry it is a liberal state as well. Don't keep too many expectations from the university, it is a very small university as well.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The professors are decent and nothing different from the Indian professors. You will not feel anything different here at least in the classes. Only the class strength is very low and for Masters programs you will only find Indians over here.
Dislikes (Safety): Worcester is not a city, it is a town so there are very less people over here and no one on the street after 8 pm. Local people are also afraid of the same thing over here. The university is like very close to downtown so there are homeless people on the street.

I got a 20% scholarship based on my GPA, English score and work experience. My suggestion is to apply as early as possible to get a better scholarship. I am satisfied with no regrets.
Likes (Public transportation): They provide free buses for local transportation. Which covers almost every part of the city. And the buses can be found regularly. You can go to any store for example Walmart it is very easy and fast. You can find the bus timings and everything in Google Maps so no need to worry about the timings routes etc. Very easy to understand.
Dislikes (Part time work): On campus part time jobs are very few. If in case you got one it is manageable. On campus part-time job payout is 15$ dollar per hour getting 15-20 hours per week. You can manage the academics and part-time because you will be having part time job for just 15 hours a week so the rest of the time you can focus on academics.

It's pretty decent and small sized University with lots of learnings.
Tips: There is 360 degree cultural shift. I received a 30 percent scholarship.
I am pretty satisfied with the University and course and 2 years went smoothly. The location is close to Boston and New York. There are great activities around the campus to enjoy.
Likes (Value for money): Faculty members are really good with enough experience. They were subject matter experts in the domains and subjects. All the faculty members were approachable and helpful. In any situation they would go beyond and explain the critical topics which is the appreciable part.
Dislikes (Part time work): There are several part time opportunities at the University, such as at the canteen, library, facility centre and many more domains. Part-time jobs are 20 hours per week. The average hourly rate was $13.75 pre taxed, paycheck is bi-weekly for 40 hours. Enough money to pay rent and groceries.

Do proper analysis before you decide your University
Tips: Scholarship is fixed when you get the i20 letter itself, there will be no change in scholarships even if you perform better in your academics. There are many universities which provide some additional benefits when secured an on-campus job as TA. But Clark University doesn't provide any. Randomly they increased 100$ per subject in my second semester. If scholarships cannot be changed, how can they change the subject fee? I won't say it's the best University, but it's easygoing.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Faculty are very friendly in nature, they knew and understand that we students are from different parts of the world. They are very much experienced in their respective fields. The faculty here try to give their best to the students, the lab exercises are monitored precisely. If any student tries to copy they are caught and asked for an explanation, so better to study rather than copy.
Dislikes (Internships): I have come across a few students who graduated in the past semesters and maybe it's because of the recession but most of the students didn't find internships. Guidance through college is not up to the mark. The students here have work experience of a minimum 2-6 years still they are unable to crack the internships.

True value investment - I like Clark university.
Tips: Be ready for the harsh winter as at times there is snow and cold weather. There is a lot of good things around here a lot of good academic options to grow including non-profit event in and around Worcester. The student office is really very helpful in addressing the concern of students.

Information technology department is liberal and one can score good grades.
Tips: Majority of classes are online after coming here. Don't expect much from professors, self-learning is the only key. Good grades can be maintained. Definitely come with an education loan, after coming here may face financial crisis because of fewer job opportunities now.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Till today no in-person class has happened. Everything is online. And for me, it's too early to judge or rate a professor because it's barely 1 week since classes have started. From my seniors, I heard that there is everything available in Moodle and books, we need to work ourselves to upskill.
Dislikes (Part time work): Very hard to find jobs now because a lot of people are here for master's and everybody is searching for jobs in this town. Many are jobless right now in my circle. So, I would like to say opportunities are less and more students who are in need of jobs right now.

Tips: I advise students should know that this college is academically oriented and friendly at the same time but bare in mind that you are coming for a purpose which is to study and gain some understanding of a particular subject. Therefore you have to put in your best and achieve your goal.
Likes (Value for money): I rated 5 on value for money because my university believes money is very important and much can be handled with lots of intelligence. Which we all believe it’s true. They value money and make very good use of it by investing in the students believing that it will come back in double folds.
Dislikes (Indian Food): I rated 3 on food options from my country of origin because the university is able to provide students with the type of food we are familiar with. Although it's not as good as what we get in India in terms of taste and also appearance.
