To take the Graduate Record Examination, the second step is to make a GRE slot booking. The first one is completing the registration profile. Test takers can make the slot booking at the time of registration. ETS conducts GRE exam at over 1,000 GRE test centres that have been set up across 160 countries. Candidates can pick any of them, else they can take the exam from home by opting for the GRE at Home.
Test takers can GRE General Test once every 21 days, up to five times within any continuous rolling 12-month period (365 days). It can be either at GRE test centres or at home. Remember, the General Test at home is available around the clock, 7 days a week.

To book available slots for Graduate Record Examination, you need to have an ETS account. Create an account first. Here is step-by-step process to complete ETS GRE slot booking:
- Create your ETS GRE Account: You need to login to your ETS account.
- Select Test Type: Choose one test type. General Test or Subject Test.
- Choose your Test Date and Centre: Select their preferred available slot and most convenient GRE test centre for exam.
