3. Choose Your Format: Select either the Paper-based or Computer-based test and click 'Book Now'.

4. Create Your Profile: Set up an OET login by providing:

   • Personal details and a valid email.

   • A digital profile photo.

   • Proof of ID (Valid Passport).

5. Select Date & Venue: Pick your preferred test date and center from the available list.

Name Match" Rule

Your name on the OET profile must match your Passport exactly.

• The Mistake: Many Indian passports have the "Surname" field blank or expanded initials. If you enter your name differently on the OET website (e.g., expanding initials that are not expanded in the passport), you will be denied entry at the test centre.
• The Fix: Keep your passport open while registering. Copy the spelling letter-for-letter.

Payment Failures with Indian Cards

The OET website uses an international payment gateway.

• The Mistake: Using a domestic Rupay card or a debit card without international transactions enabled. These transactions often fail or get stuck.
• The Fix: Always use an International Visa or Mastercard Credit Card. If you don't have one, ask a family member to help. Avoid waiting until the last hour to pay.

Confusing "OET at Home" with "Computer-Based"

When booking, you will see multiple modes.

• The Mistake: Accidentally booking "OET at Home" (Remote) instead of "OET on Computer" (Venue-based).
• The Fix: Check the venue details carefully. If it says "Remote" or "Proctored," it is the Home edition. If it shows a test centre address in your city, it is the Venue-based Computer test.

To take the OET exam 2026, you must be a healthcare professional or a student in a medical field. The test is specially made for 12 healthcare professions, including Nursing, Medicine, Dentistry, and Pharmacy.

• No Age Limit: There is no maximum age to apply, though most students are 18 or older.

• Identity Proof: A valid passport is the most important document needed for registration and test-day entry.

• Academic Background: While you don't need a specific grade, you must have a degree (or be in your final year) in one of the 12 recognized fields.

• Target Professions: Occupational Therapy, Dietetics, Optometry, Podiatry, Physiotherapy, Radiography, Speech Pathology, and Veterinary Science are also eligible.

Candidates registering for the Occupational English Test must pay an OET exam fee of AUD 587 (approximately INR 38,916) for the full test. This total cost includes the base test fee, a booking fee, and taxes. You must pay this amount online during the official OET registration process.

• Required Documents: Keep your valid passport, a digital passport photo, and a credit card ready before you start your OET registration.
• Cancellation Policy: If you cannot take the test, you can withdraw your application online. The official portal will deduct a fixed administrative fee before sending your partial refund.
• Rescheduling Charges: You can change your exam date or venue for an extra fee. Rescheduling early costs less, while late changes closer to the test date cost more.

Cambridge Boxhill Language Assessment Trust (CBLA) has launched the OET at Home. This is the identical OET exam that is conducted at a test centre. However, the OET at Home would be an OET computer-based test that would be conducted from the safety of the home of the candidate. The OET at Home - computer-based test is currently available in select destinations and for Medicine and Nursing subjects. More subjects are being added to the facility.

The initiative has been done to make the OET exam more inclusive of healthcare professionals who are planning to go abroad to work or study and need OET scores as part of their application process. Candidates who are planning to book their OET at Home test are required to check the mandatory system requirements needed for the OET exam. Candidates would also require to have a test conducive environment during the entire duration of the OET exam.
