According to website of the Occupational English Test, you can expect your OET test results to be published in your OET account approximately 10 to 17 business days after the test. You will receive an email with your exam scorecard when the result is published. However, the result timeline may vary due to public holidays.

In this section, we are going to be discussing OET results for 2025. A lot of times OET test takers are left wondering about their OET scores and their availability. Healthcare professionals who have successfully appeared for their Occupational English Test (OET) can view their OET exam results after 16 business days from each test date. Since the OET test is held on fixed days across India. Candidates can check their OET test date and the corresponding OET results declaration date in the table below. 

When Will I Get My OET Results?

As mentioned earlier, OET is held across India on fixed dates. Hence, the OET results of candidates will be available on their OET account after 16 business days from each test date. OET test-takers will receive a statement of their results which shows their scores for each of the four sub-tests, on a scale from 0 to 500 and a letter grade (from E to A). Candidates can log in to their 'myOET' profile to access their OET scores. As far as OET result dates are concerned, candidates should note that OET on Paper scores are available 14 business days after they take OET and OET on Computer at a venue/OET at Home results will be available after 16 business days from the date you take the exam. 

OET on computer results will now be available earlier than before. Candidates will be able to obtain their results in only 10 days. This will assist them in moving forward with their professional plans faster.

OET Score Validity

A lot of times, test takers are under the impression that their OET validity is limited to two years. This is not entirely true. The OET validity is not determined by the Cambridge Boxhill Language Assessment Trust (CBLA) - the conducting body of the OET test like other tests but by the regulatory authorities that are going to require your OET scores would determine OET validity.

The OET official website does not provide a duration for the validity of the OET exam. Candidates are required to check with the concerned authorities (e.g. boards and councils, government departments) that recognize the OET exam about the duration of the validity of the OET results pre-determined by them.

What is a Good OET Score?

Perhaps one of the most searched queries for healthcare professionals appearing for the OET exam revolves around a good OET score or an average OET score. The OET exam does not have a good score or average score benchmark. However, candidates are expected to comfortably get well over the 350 marks in each sub-test to be eligible for the best opportunities. How is OET Exam Scored?

Answer booklets of Listening Part A and Reading Part A are assigned to OET Assessors at random for marking. Answer booklets of Listening Part B and Reading Parts B and C are computer scanned and automatically scored. Audio files and scripts for Writing and Speaking sub-tests are assigned and rated by multiple-trained OET Assessors at random to avoid any conflict. Candidates can check the OET official website, link provided above, for the detailed score reporting procedure. Candidates who are unsatisfied with the outcome of their results can appeal for a reevaluation of the remarking of their answer sheets.

OET Score Reporting (Section-wise)

The OET exam is made up of four subtests (Reading, Writing, Speaking, and Listening) and each section is marked on a scale of 0 - 500 in ten-point increments. Candidates should note, that OET does NOT publish an overall grade for your OET performance. The numerical score received by the candidate is further mapped to a separate alphabet grade for each subtest ranging from A (Highest) to E (Lowest).
