- A UK 2:1 honours degree, or its international equivalent, in informatics, artificial intelligence, cognitive science, computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, physics or another quantitative discipline.
- Competence in programming is essential. During your degree you must have completed a programming course in at least one of the following: C/C++, Java, Python, R, Matlab, Haskell, ML.
- During your degree you must have completed the equivalent of 60 SCQF credits or 30 ECTS credits of mathematics that have typically covered the following subjects/topics: calculus (differentiation and integration), linear algebra (vectors and multi-dimensional matrices), discrete mathematics and mathematical reasoning (e.g. induction and reasoning, graph theoretic models, proofs), and probability (concepts in discrete and continuous probabilities, Markov chains etc.)
- The minimum score you should have achieved is 60% or more /GPA of 8 on a 10 point scale in your Bachelor's study.
- If you are studying at an Institute of Eminence or an Institute of National Importance you should achieve 55% or more / GPA of 7.0 on a 10 point scale.

Best year of my life away from home.
Tips: The curriculum is very similar to other universities, you can feel the cultural shock if its your first time abroad but every one around is very inclusive so you won't feel alone if you are a bit social. I did not avail any scholarship but there are options to do so, and u should check.

Fun, adventurous and beautiful memory
Tips: Research more on the subject they want to take. Subjects like business analytics and FINTECH seem to have more challenging courses than general management. Student life was amazing, we have so many resources and clubs to expose ourselves to. I got a 5k scholarship under India Merit, but they have increased the CGPA requirement for it.
Likes (Safety): Edinburgh is a very safe place. We can travel at night since there are buses running around the city 24/7. There is a lot of social life in and around the city, so for students it's such a lovely place to explore. And since it's in Scotland, it's a beautiful country to travel in as well.
Dislikes (Value for money): I personally think it was quite expensive. They could have added more lectures for 30k GBP. It didn't really challenge me for the management course. But the other courses were quite harder and worth the money. For management, it touched on several subjects, but there was not much depth like I wanted.

Fun and eye-opening in the best way possible. If only I could’ve stayed longer :)
Tips: I learnt to SEE accounting under different perspectives and not just as numbers. I received a scholarship which was automatically awarded to me given my undergraduate score. Overall the only disappointing thing was lack of employment opportunities especially for international students. Otherwise student life and the city was amazing. The campus is quite beautiful as well.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transport is very convenient. It might be a little expensive depending on the bus or train you choose. But mostly it was a good experience for me. Sometimes there may be public brawls but just ignore them at the very least. You can use either card or cons. And if you're below 21 years you can get a pass and transport is free.
Dislikes (Internships): The master's programme did not directly provide resources for obtaining internships. It just organized a job fair where most companies were only looking for students without visa restrictions. No one was ready to sponsor. So, it felt like international students were not considered at all. Even the employment trek where we visited two -three companies only considered students that didn't need visa sponsorship.

Edi is a great time with the best people
Tips: There are a lot of societies and groups you can join, so it doesn't feel alienating. Scholarship options from the university are limited, but I received the India Merit Scholarship. I am happy with the university, the course could have been better, and the country was amazing.

Why I Loved Edinburgh - The City and the University
Tips: 1. There was a cultural shift. Be very careful about the Scottish Kilts. Don't call it a skirt. Don't touch their kilts. 2. No, I did not. 3. Extremely satisfied and happy. The country welcomes you like home. You will have a hard time leaving if you decide to do so.
Likes (Indian Food): 1. There are numerous student rooms and libraries for us to study. My favourites were the New School and Old School libraries. 2. A lot of festivals, like Hogmanay, the Fringe and Bagpiper events, theatre, and musicals. 3. There are more than 200.
Dislikes (Internships): 1. Highly Accessible. You can schedule sessions with them. 2. The best thing was that it was more question-based rather than just theory. 3. Extremely diverse. Professors came from almost every part of the world, from Nigeria to China to India to the Middle East.
