Columbia College Job Outcomes
International students at Columbia College are able to work both on and off campus as long as they have a current study permit and Social Security number. During semester breaks, students are permitted to work full-time or part-time, for up to 20 hours per week, both on and off campus. Overseas candidates enrolled full-time are eligible to work under campus employment facilities.
International students must be full-time, enrolled in post-secondary programs lasting at least six months, in order to be eligible for off-campus employment. Prior to the start of the study program, students are not permitted to work off campus. Students are not permitted to work off-campus if they switch to a part-time schedule during their final semester of a full-time program. After their first six months of study in Canada, international students are permitted to work part-time, which will assist them in helping to pay for some of their monthly living expenses.
