Worth the struggle. A source of holistic development.
Tips: Slog hard, enjoy harder.
The course taught me more than what I expected. I enjoyed every bit of learning and gave more attention to detail to excel at it.
The university is inclusive and so is Australia.
It wasn't as easy to acclimatise to the difference of just the sheer number of people you're surrounded with in the subcontinent, it felt empty, but I soon got into clubs and made connections that served me well.
Likes (Student Life): Cultural diversity, eventful, green campus and great sporting culture. It is a great place to be and one can be sure that you'll get at least something out of the campus that interests you and draws you in. With me it was the tennis club, events at on campus accommodation and a humongous library.
Dislikes (Indian Food): I don't find authentic Maharashtrian cuisine options much.
Otherwise, Punjabi and South Indian food are the most common.
I often did weekly meal preparation on weekends but tried out continental and oriental cuisines too.

Curtin will make you feel like home in a different country.
Tips: Be clear about what you want in your career and make the most of your student life. While in Perth, explore as much as possible and make friends. Follow Curtin public accounts to keep updated on what's going on university and be a part of everything in the university.
Likes (Public transportation): Curtin University have two main bus stands which are time stops, that means every bus will stop in these stands and wait until the time of departure mentioned on the website. We also have an app to track the bus location. Above mentioned is the public transport and also we have something like CABS which is a Curtin bus, it will connect all the areas of the university and surrounding suburbs every 15 minutes.
Dislikes (Part time work): The university will have programs like Work Integrated Learning (WIL), where you can land unpaid or paid internships. University Hub is a website that is a mini LinkedIn or seek for Curtin students to find part-time jobs, internal university jobs and internships. I rate 3 for part-time because most of the students don't know about these, even though so many events are organised for students and it is quite competitive as well.

Amazing experience, surrounded by great people coming from multi-cultural background.
Tips: My transition was initially very chaotic as I arrived a week late and missed orientation week, so I had to figure everything out myself. However, I received very good support from my university, where their student mentor team helped me settle down in Perth and on campus. Regarding scholarships, all international students receive a 25% scholarship on their first year's tuition fees at Curtin. Besides this scholarship, you can also check for need-based scholarships on the Curtin website. I am very well satisfied with my university and course, as there is more practical learning experience here than traditional pen-and-paper theory. The country has not disappointed me in any way, and I would highly recommend it to people who are willing to work hard.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transportation in Perth is great because on Sundays you get free rides on buses, ferries and trains. Also, there are special CAT buses that run internally in the city, which are free even during weekdays. Most of the suburbs are well connected with the buses and trains, but after 6 pm, the frequency gets reduced. There's a helpful app for Perth's public transport in which you can put your stop number and get the details of the schedule of the Next bus or train, as well as how much it would cost. This makes it easier to plan your trips.
Dislikes (Internships): All the other universities in Australia don't have a placement system, like Indian colleges. There are career fairs in universities that are held, but most of them are mostly networking events and do not give you actual jobs. Especially if you are an international student, unless you have a Course Weighted Average of 80% and above or higher and have completed at least two years for a Bachelors's degree and one year for Master's. Your chances of getting an internship through a university are next to impossible.

Not worth the money, look out for better options.
Tips: Curtin University is quite easygoing, and they provide scholarships to every student. The food is good, but expensive. You get a variety of options, including eating food from back home. Personally, I would prefer cooking my own food, which would also be healthy for both my health and finances, but it can be time-consuming for us international students. Which is better, though, really comes down to your own preference. As far as satisfaction, I'm satisfied with Australia, but I wouldn't say that about the course itself. It's not worth the money. It makes getting permanent residency unlikely, and it doesn't support internships.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): You’re better off studying a diploma course than this master’s course because there’s a good chance that you won’t get permanent residency in Australia with this course. I’d suggest a diploma, which is more likely to lead to permanent residency in no time. That will not only save you lots of money, but it will also lead to a permanent residency opportunity, which will make your money go a lot further.

There are events on campus like mentorship programs, career fair and food festivals.
Tips: I have not experienced any cultural shift as I was not raised in India and I was raised abroad throughout my life. But, students may experience cultural shifts coming from India for sure. I'm currently not on any scholarships but I'm sure there are scholarships available. I'm very satisfied with my university experience and the country but I'm not really satisfied with the lecturers from the IT industry/computing department at this university. Although the cost of living is expensive, the quality of life is really great here and very comfortable. The infrastructure is great too and people are friendly here.
Likes (Student Life): I spend my day by walking up early and going to the gym, then going my classes, and then coming back and revising the notes from my classes, socializing with my friends. The lifestyle at university if great especially if you live on campus as everything would be nearby like for instances the gym, football fields, library, the bus stop etc. There are events that are organized on campus like mentorship programs, career fair, food festivals, hockey games, start of semester/end of semester parties and many more which are great opportunities to make new friends at the college. There are several student clubs and communities on campus. There are clubs related to what you study, religious clubs etc.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There are not many Indian restaurants in Perth. So, you will have a hard time eating outside if you want Indian food. In the locality, there are fast food restaurants, sports bars, and other restaurants with prices between 20-50 Australian dollars. Food is pretty expensive in Australia. I prefer cooking myself but I normally eat outside as I'm not very good at cooking.

A transformative and enriching experience at Curtin University.
Tips: Students should know that it is important to take advantage of the support services available on campus like academic counselling, career services, and student clubs. I availed the academic merit scholarship that gave 25% off my first-year tuition fee, which can be availed during your admission if you are eligible. The eligibility criteria is to secure more marks than the admission requirement. I am pretty satisfied with my experience. The university focuses on practical learning along with theoretical knowledge, this is something that provides valuable skills to grades.

Leicester is a very diverse city.
Tips: Leicester is a very diverse city, which helps to easily adjust to and be a part of. DMU is easy to navigate and the staff are really helpful. There are scholarships you can apply but I wasn't aware of them when I applied which is a same. The students' union team at the campus centre is really helpful with helping you find jobs and other things to help you settled into the campus.
Likes (Student Life): Amazing student life. So many events to attend and meet new people. Since university is in the heart of the city it's easy to get to shops and city centre as well. Melton Road is a part of the city that is basically a smaller version of India; there are a lot of Indian shops where you can do almost any Indian shopping.
Dislikes (Internships): Kind of difficult to find internships especially at the current moment as an international student. Keep trying for jobs while you're in the course itself rather than waiting till you complete. Also try out of the city as well since Leicester doesn't have much to offer in terms of architecture if you're focused on that.

The uni is joyful, fun and diverse.
Tips: Experienced healthy competition and learned to be independent and a quick learner. Also, as an international student, I received a good amount of scholarship from the university, well, you will get that allowance deducted from the tuition fees. To be true, I am very satisfied with the university as the faculty and everyone in the university are very helpful.

Supportive faculty and great student life.
Tips: The transition is smooth, and support is available for both academic and personal needs. I've experienced positive cultural shifts and a welcoming environment for international students. The campus is diverse and welcoming, and while I didn't take a scholarship, the university does offer them.
Likes (Post study jobs): Student life is lively and inclusive. I enjoyed spending time in both classes and labs. The campus hosts many events for students, such as career fairs and social gatherings throughout the year, which I regularly attend. There are plenty of societies and communities.
Dislikes (Student Life): The faculty are very approachable and always willing to help students. The block teaching style is unique and makes learning more efficient and manageable. I also appreciate diversity among staff and students. Lectures from different national and academic backgrounds.

De Montfort University has highly experienced faculty and a diverse campus.
Tips: Before you join this college, you must be aware of a few key factors such as the academic structure, the grading system, the amount of work required and what your professors are going to expect from you. Transitioning to a new country and university can both be exciting and challenging. When you make good friends you have a memorable time and it becomes easy to cope with academics. The work culture is also good and you earn enough to survive in the country. Just the student needs to be strong enough to handle the pressure and I have been able to do that. The faculty is always eager to help you and very kind. They are very soft-spoken and always listen to your problems and come up with a solution. Professors also are very kind and go in-depth about the topic to get you to understand. They are very polite.

Tips: Make sure you have a clear idea of the course you're going to do, book your accommodation beforehand and view your accommodation in person before you book it. There are placement years available look into those courses too and they do have a team to help you with your interview and finding part-time jobs. The faculty are helpful so you can reach out to them without any hesitation. Do participate in activities and clubs as it will help you to connect with people. Education & Experience at DMU is worth it.
Tips: Clarity on course and career is absolutely important . DMU has vide options of subjects to offer from different fields. Students must research and understand post-study work opportunities before making decisions. DMU in general offers a very welcoming and inclusive environment to its students, making the entire transition process easier. Student communities and faculty at campus are extremely helpful and supportive. One can find a lot of Indians in general on campus and in the city. The overall experience at DMU was satisfactory and worthwhile.
Likes (Public transportation): Campus is situated at the heart of the city, well connected with various facilities in the city. Healthcare facilities can be found on campus, public transportation is easily accessible and affordable. Entertainment and shopping centres are within walking distance. Bus and train stations are easily accessible through public transportation.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): UK in general has various graduate job opportunities. Immigration and settlement opportunities depend on prevalent policies. Currently, there is 2 2-year Post-study work visa, which is favourable for students. Post masters work opportunities are relatively easier than post-bachelor.

From School to University- an experience.
Tips: Coming to DMU Dubai opened my perspective much more than school. Shifting to a UK curriculum from CBSE gave me more freedom to use my time better. Moreover, the academics were now more practically based than CBSE's typical theory. Communication with international students gives you exposure to the real world and helped me learn how to deal with people on a daily basis. I availed 30% academic scholarship for getting 90+ in boards. Moreover, they offer several school, early bird and sibling discounts as well. I'm satisfied and working to make my university as lively as possible for myself and my university fellows. As part of the student council, I work to conduct more interactive events for all students. Celebrate festivals for all cultures, hold clubs to invite other universities, we do it all. I'm satisfied with what my course is offering and the facilities given by the professors and management. From short classes to internships to workshops and seminars my course aids me to learn the best to be prepared for the outside world.
Likes (Safety): Dubai is one of the safest cities in the world. The people are very comfortable in using the campus as well as roaming the city even in late night hours. Even if you may need small help from the people in the city in case of emergency, it is very safe, for example, if you don't have a phone, strangers would be polite to offer you their phones to make calls.
Dislikes (Internships): Our university offers summer internships to support the students as well as throughout the year. However, sometimes the internships would be less compared to the people and given to the people who need the most or those who have the most experience. The internships may also be unpaid sometimes or not available if your course is a complex one.

The university is amazing because they will give you a lot of exposure about everything.
Tips: Students should know that then they should opt for genuine websites for accommodation and should not go for something from Facebook. As there are a lot of scams going around generally. There are a lot of scams going on here that they should be aware of and the police system is not doing a lot about this issue.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty is just awesome and extremely supportive. They are very experienced and can give you a lot of insight. They are like mentors and not nagging teachers who're going to be at your throat. Some might be like that but so far I have not encountered someone like that in the faculty.
Dislikes (Part time work): All the students are struggling to find any part time jobs. The economy is struggling. I found a job as a student ambassador but that only gives me two hours a week and if you plan on depending on a part time job then I would suggest please don't come here.

A wonderful place to study!
Tips: De Montfort University is a wonderful place to study at. It is a very welcoming place and the lecturers/staff are very friendly and kind. The buildings are quite easy to get to but even if you can't find your way there's always help available. There are so many societies/clubs to join, you are literally spoiled for choices. All societies are amazing and there is one for everyone to join (Although it's not a must). The campus is also quite accessible and accommodating, there are prayer rooms available and it is also made approachable for wheelchair users. The lecturers and personal supervisors are always on standby for students when they are in need of help, they're there for guidance and support. You can approach them for any matter and they will try their best to help you. Also De Montfort university is right next to the city centre, so there is a wide range of opportunities and food options including Indian, Chinese, Italian and so much more. It is the right place full of culture and you'll fit right in.
