Beautiful country, kind people, great opportunities and an amazing education system.
Tips: The transition has been smooth and welcoming, with a culture that feels familiar, kind people, and a lot of festivals, though the rain and cold took a little time to adjust to. The teaching is excellent and the environment is supportive. Scholarships are available across many programs, so it is worth applying early since they can reduce fees and sometimes include a small monthly stipend. Do sort out accommodation before you arrive because housing is tight. Clothes are affordable thanks to the steady weather, but electronics are expensive, so bring essentials from India. Part time work helps with living cost, so start looking as soon as you land, begin your PPSN application and complete your online residence permit. Campus roles like teaching assistant, library, or student ambassador are great option, and retail or Delhi jobs also pay decently while you study.
Likes (Post study jobs): I landed a research Data Scientist role after my Masters and many friends did well too, so its very possible to bag a nice paying job with Visa sponsorship. The number of companies sponsor visas changes, but there are plenty, especially among those with solid graduate intake. Typical roles range from graduate programs to mid and senior positions, and salaries are competitive and grow with the strength of your portfolio, communication and technical depth. If you put in consistent, focused effort, you can absolutely grab a great opportunity. Jobs in different sectors have different pay scales, but graduate roles usually play around 40k per annum, mid level play around 50-70k depending on the sector and experience, and senior level can go above 70k on average.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Adjusting to food anywhere else is always a challenge, and Galway has relatively less choices for authentic North Indian cuisine. Restaurants like Kumar's, Kashmir and Eastern Tandoori provide some variety, but they can't match the flavour like that of home. I usually prefer cooking at home, buying groceries and masalas from asian stores, though they are quite expensive.

Pretty nice country for short term international exposure. Don’t think about settlement.
Tips: Be prepared to manage everything independently. The weather can be harsh, so bring suitable clothing. Obtain an Indian driving license and purchase a car as soon as possible for convenience. None of the people I met received any scholarships. The university was great, the course was decent, and the country is nice, especially if you live in Galway city.
Likes (Safety): The 5-star rating is based on the previous year, and I doubt it will remain the same in the coming years. Many immigrants are being attacked these days. While most cases still occur in Dublin, Galway is a safer option. However, the majority of jobs are in Dublin, and the conditions there for brown immigrants are far from ideal. People in Galway city are generally nice, friendly, and warm. However, incidents of teenagers attacking or harassing people after sunset are increasing and cause concern.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Most companies won't hire freshers or those with less than 3-5 years of experience at a major MNC from their home country. Job roles are also often one or two levels lower; for example, a manager from India might only get an assistant manager or senior associate position. Regarding visas, over 90% of companies reject candidates solely based on visa status, and even those who hire may not assist in renewal upon expiry, opting for a more convenient candidate instead.

Uni of Galway is a research led university with a strong multicultural base.
Tips: I found the Irish to be warm and welcoming, making my transition very smooth. I have a scholarship that provides a monthly stipend exceeding my expenses, allowing me to save a good amount. I am pursuing a 4-year structured Ph.D. with a dedicated budget of 250k euros over the course of the four years. This includes tuition waivers and a stipend. I am very satisfied with the University of Galway and its faculty, and I love Ireland.
Likes (Safety): Galway is a very safe city. You can be out and about late at night and feel safe, regardless of your gender. I've had all good experiences. There's a dedicated "call a friend" scheme where you can call a friend to walk you home if you feel unsafe. Otherwise, I've walked home at 1 am from campus several times and, thankfully, never felt unsafe. To ensure student safety, we have a dedicated medical clinic on campus, free for students. So, in case of accidents or emergencies, you can walk in without an appointment and be seen by a GP, who can then make a referral to A/E if needed.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): The chances of securing a Critical Skills Work Permit have been steadily declining, based on my observations and what I've heard. This isn't specific to any background but reflects the cooling Irish job market. I know people from two years ago who haven't secured sponsorships through this visa route. However, those with backgrounds in niche domains, such as AI engineers or logistics professionals, may have a better chance and could potentially gain permanent settlement after a Stamp 4 visa, roughly within four years. I would like to make Ireland my home permanently, given the opportunity.

College and city is great but getting part time is a challenge.
Tips: Be prepared for harsh winters and a challenging housing search. While the people are friendly, public transport is subpar. Note that there are no scholarships for the Pathway B course. The course itself is good, and the professors are excellent and supportive. The assignments are engaging and enjoyable.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Professors are knowledgeable, experienced, and very helpful. The modules are well-organised, and the continuous assignments are beneficial. Activities like group assignments, debate competitions, summer schools, and outings have helped engage students and foster teamwork and public speaking skills.
Dislikes (Part time work): Finding a part-time job was very difficult. It took me three months to secure one. It seems online applications are often rejected without explanation. I also applied for part-time roles related to my studies, but never received any callbacks. While summer offers some opportunities, finding work in the winter is extremely challenging.

Tips: The university's ranking is great. The campus is very beautiful and huge compared to other schools and colleges. Professors are knowledgeable and friendly. Plenty of sports clubs and societies are available. On-campus accommodation is nice, but getting selected in the lottery is hard.
Dislikes (Part time work): Almost no on-campus part-time jobs exist. Off-campus opportunities are also very limited. It took me over three months to find a part-time job in Galway. Online applications are ineffective as they are rejected immediately, which may be due to racism. Overall, it is very difficult to find part-time work.

Tips: Students planning to join NUIG should know that the curriculum is rigorous and industry-relevant, especially STEM courses like biopharma and cell therapy. After arriving in Ireland, I did experience a cultural shock - people are very polite, time-conscious and value personal space. I did not avail of any scholarship personally, but several merit-based scholarships are offered by the Irish government.
Likes (Permanent Immigration): Ireland provides one of the most transparent and supportive pathways for international students to settle permanently. After graduation, you can get a stamp 1G visa, which offers a 2-year post-study work period, which gives you ample time to secure a full-time job. Once you hold a valid work permit and complete 5 years of legal residence, you become eligible for step 4, which gives you residence rights. Given a chance, I would absolutely like to permanently immigrate to Ireland.
Dislikes (Public transportation): NUIG is centrally located, so it’s easy to walk or bike rather than rely on buses. Although Galway is compact and student friendly, the limited transport network and consistent schedules make it less convenient for daily computing beyond city center.

A top Irish university for sustainability and student life.
Tips: Yes, everyone moving to a different country with a different culture will always have that shift/shock. There are a few scholarships, but they are tough to secure. It is the top university in all of Ireland for sustainability and the best in extracurricular activities. Guidance is limited, and most of them are self-sourced. Finding an internship for people with experience is a bit of hard luck, and most of them are unpaid. If your course helps you fetch an internship, it's great or try finding a job as it is the best option. The professors are highly qualified, supportive and easily approachable. The teaching blends theory with real-world cases, and the sessions are highly interactive. The department is also diverse, with faculty members from different nations and industry backgrounds available.

Life in university of Galway: Blend of fun, culture & academics.
Tips: One thing I enjoy the most will surely be the Huge Riverside Campus. It's so serene and peaceful. Taking a break from lectures, and sitting by the river, sipping my favourite coffee. That's how my usual day goes by. There will always be enough space to explore. There are a lot of cosy study spaces just in case you don't have the quiet environment to study at home. The library is huge! Dream come true for bookworms. There are tons of active societies & clubs for every interest from: art to tech & everything, sports from swimming to archery. You'll enjoy the college life if you missed out during COVID, like me, 2020 batch. Also, there's a student bar on campus. The campus is lively with different events, hackathons, workshops, DJ nights & much, and more. The Indian society will always be there to arrange host festivals so you don't feel homesick.
Likes (Student Life): What I've enjoyed most here is the huge riverside campus. Taking a break from lectures and sitting by the river, sipping my favourite coffee: that's how my days usually go. There's plenty of space to explore. There are a lot of cozy places to study if I don't have the space to do so at home. There's a giant library! It's a bookworm's dream come true. Plus, there are tons of clubs and societies for every interest: art, teaching, sports from swimming to archery, and more. If you were a 2020 grad like me and felt like you missed out on college life because of COVID, you'll find it enjoyable here. The campus is lively with events, hackathons, workshops, DJ nights, and more. The Indian Society is always there to host festivals, which makes it less easy for me to feel homesick.
Dislikes (Indian Food): One thing you will miss the most is food. Especially if you are a vegetarian, it's gonna be tough. There are very limited veg options, especially Indian food options, in cities like Galway. However, there are Indian restaurants like Kashmir, Tulsi, Spice India, etc. The variety is restricted, and food can be quite expensive for regular student budgets. Most of the dishes are adjusted to suit a more Western taste palate, so they don't really feel authentic. I prefer to cook at home if I want to have Indian food.

It’s a good college. Close to nature and beautiful to experience the Irish cultural.
Tips: There are many cultures in Ireland. You can experience the Irish culture and enjoy it. I got a scholarship for my course. They give out scholarships based on the marks from your previous studies. Depending on your marks, there are two types of scholarships. Ireland is the safest country in the world for students. I feel safe everywhere, inside and outside the campus, in the city, and even on public transportation. There are cameras everywhere, so the country is very secure. I really like that I don't have to worry about my safety. Even if I'm out alone at midnight, I feel completely secure. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my experiences.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Many students get jobs after graduation. There are more job opportunities in business fields like accounting and management as well as medical and hospital jobs. We can get jobs in the engineering field as well. What I don't know is whether we will be sponsored to stay in the country if we get an offer. I know the visa only lasts for two years.

Tips: Transitioning here has been a significant experience and I have definitely experienced a cultural shift here. People have different accents here. Scholarships are available, so definitely apply for them. The course is good, but it moves very fast, so come prepared with the basics of all the subjects. Join different communities to get more exposure. Companies usually don't hire interns because the course is only one year long. You're busy with classes and part-time work. I'd definitely apply for internships, but I'm more likely to get one after I finish the course because I can only work 20 hours while enrolled. Overall, I am satisfied wth my experiences.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transportation is very good in Ireland. Buses are on time and cheap. The availability of transportation is also very good. The roads are built well. You have to get a student card from the university to get the student leap card. You can use this card to travel on buses and trains. Since you are a student, the cost of travel is 50% off.

The campus is well-structured. Faculty members are helpful and offer plenty of support.
Tips: Not quite satisfied with the course because I could have done it online or from my own country. The teaching and curriculum are the same here. I did avail a scholarship, but it was granted to all students in the course. It was a good decision, though, of coming here because I saw many changes in myself as a person. There are very few on-campus part-time jobs at my university. Students have to look off campus, which means they spend time searching for jobs, which isn’t ideal. The part-time jobs can be whatever they are, and sometimes they are easy and manageable, but other times they can be very difficult to manage. The average hourly wage is 13.50.
Likes (Safety): The campus is well structured, and safety measures are taken care of perfectly. We can roam around anytime, and it is very safe. Please do not take accommodation to far away areas else it might become hectic, especially avoid Ballybane. Try to rent near the college area as it is very safe.

Apart from that, there are not many options for Indian cuisine when compared to Dublin, but you get used to it eventually. Tips: I have become more open-minded after seeing diverse people. My course offers a 2700 merit scholarship for all students. There are also two excellent scholarships that are based on profile and awarded to only two students. I enjoy attending university itself as it's very lively and useful. I go to the library to study there as it's well-equipped. Many DJ events are organized during festival times in Indian society. There are many student club societies for AI, entrepreneurs, etc. Overall, I am very well satisfied with the university, the course, and the country.
Dislikes (Value for money): The tuition fees were justified because the modules I was looking for were in this course, and that's why I chose it. I really think it's worth the money I spent and the knowledge I'm going to get from it. The course is well designed.

Tips: Be prepared for the climate conditions here. It’s very chilly and rainy and unpredictable, so you need to be prepared to layer up. Also, bring your umbrella, as you’ll be using it a lot. Also be prepared with vitamin D here, as summers here aren’t the same as in India. I prefer cooking myself as it is cheaper than eating out as restaurants are expensive and lack the local taste we expect. Ingredients are scarce here, so we need to be careful choosing them from Asian/Indian stores located far away as seen on Google. Overall, I am satisfied with my experiences.
Likes (Student Life): The quality of teachers here at this university is excellent. The university also provides expert roles and assistance that help you grow. In addition, I love that we get to interact with each other through a variety of clubs and societies like football, F1, gaming, and AI. This aspect lets us learn and grow together, which leads to a better overall aspect of life.

Good facilities and amenities. But one should be familiar with the course before coming.
Tips: Good for student life as a lot of activities are available. Indian society is very active here, so it's good to engage with fellow Indians here. Other societies are also active with events and engagement sessions, so you learn multiple things together. Some clubs like soccer, F1, and gaming societies are famous. One should mind the climatic conditions here and the course. I availed a normal scholarship, but it should be counted as a discount. The current market is down hope it turns up. Overall, very much satisfied with my decision.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Lack of good quality Indian restaurants, and also expensive for students here. Spices and Indian ingredients are expensive too so one should keep this in mind before coming here. Parcel are preferred but that expenses are to be note before hand too.

The university has a warm, bright, vibrant and diverse campus with highly knowledgeable faculty.
Tips: Definitely there are cultural shifts and climatic shifts concerning Indian students. General scholarship of 1,500 is available for all students, but would be applicable only when applied for it. Might face some issues regarding accommodation at the initial stage, so look out for one as soon as you land. The availability of part-time jobs is a little difficult since the Irish population prefers to provide references. This applies to both off-campus and on-campus employment. But once you get through this, you would receive a minimum of 13.5 euros per hour. Networking and communication are the key. Overall great university and friendly country and I am highly satisfied with my experiences.
Likes (Permanent Immigration): There are multiple options which are feasible for permanent settlement. Even though the tax rates might be high, the services that are available from the government for permanent settlers is quite good. Diverse and different university experience.
Tips: Moving to Melbourne was a big change but a great cultural experience. The city is diverse and welcoming, though at the university, most of my classmates were from Asian countries, with very few Australian classmates. which was a cultural shift for me. I received the FBE graduate scholarship of approx. $25,000 AUD fee remission by applying directly at the university.
Likes (Indian Food): You can usually find lots of restaurants with different cuisines. One time meal costs anywhere from $23 to $35, depending upon the restaurant, cuisine, etc.
I usually prefer a blend of both, cooking at home 5-6 days and eating outside 1-2 days a week.
Dislikes (Value for money): Studying at the University of Melbourne felt like an interesting cultural experience, but academically and financially, it did not meet my expectations. The tuition fees are extremely high, and I didn't feel the value provided was justified at all. Many subjects were just plain theory rather than practical, leaving me less prepared for employment than I had hoped.

Supportive college environment.
Tips: Do not come here expecting to land a part-time working gig as soon as you arrive. Things like that don't happen easily and take a lot of time. You eventually handle yourself after finding some initial difficulty adjusting to the cultural and ethnic changes in the city. Overall, Melbourne is one of the most accommodating places I've ever been to.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Students can have the time of their lives here. There's literally everything here that a student can ask for. With over two hundred clubs and societies, UniMelb forms one of the biggest student communities in the country, students are given the freedom to explore themselves.
Dislikes (Student Life): The faculty has complete knowledge about their subject, and even beyond that, they're the perfect mix of teacher and mentor. They also know how to maintain their boundaries from students and aren't very over-friendly or in your face with regards to your personal life.

Tips: Do not expect to land a part-time role as soon as you arrive. It can take a lot of time. The education culture of Australia is experience-based, so it'll involve a lot of group discussions and class participation. Hence, it is essential to do the required readings before class in order to make the most of your learning experience.
Likes (Indian Food): There is a variety of options for Indian as well as any other country's food, so you won't get that feeling of homesickness. Since I've come here, I've had the best of experiences trying out different cuisines like Chinese, Japanese, Italian, Argentinean, and whatnot.
Dislikes (Value for money): I feel like the course is expensively priced, and it costs more than double what it does to a domestic student. Although I'm sure the courses provide value for money, I still feel they're at a price that might not be comfortable for everyone to bear.

Life at UniMelb as an international student.
Tips: I received a scholarship. Initially, I felt a bit overwhelmed, and it took time to adjust to the new culture. However, things improved once I became more familiar with the place. The university is truly welcoming of multiculturalism.
Likes (Public transportation): The public transportation in Melbourne is said to be one of the most well-structured in the world. There are three options: trams, trains, or buses. It's easy to travel to any suburb, and intercity trains are affordable and easy to use.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): The chances of permanent immigration are very low in this country. The skills in demand are limited, and fields like PR and commerce, as well as related areas, don't contribute to them. Additionally, it's difficult to find an employer who can sponsor you to stay.

Finding part-time work can be challenging if you live in the city.
Tips: My transition was rather very personal and socially based. Things get very overwhelming when you leave the shadow of your parents and manage everything alone. Making friends was really difficult for me, and my studies consequently got affected. But over time, you realise that you won't get loyal friendships here. One of the funniest culture shocks was the Unisex Washrooms. Rest, people aren't conservative here, but I suggest you be safe from junkies, since they attack a lot. I couldn't get any scholarship from Unimelb despite getting 92.5% in 12th grade - CBSE. But from other students I know as of July 2023, you can get a grant of 10,000 AUD. Personally, UniMelb is too strict and stressful with studies. There aren't a lot of options if you're seeking courses like fashion studies. I'd suggest Monash for business-oriented subjects. The classes aren't interactive or individual-focused focused especially if you have an Asian tutor.
Likes (Public transportation): If you reside in the city, trams are super convenient, and student accommodation is well-located near the university. Myki cards with a concession cost $5 and are affordable, but many students don't use them often. There are also free tram zones that don't require a Myki card at all! If you need to travel from the suburbs, trains and buses are also super convenient, costing AUD 10 per trip.
Dislikes (Part time work): It is fairly difficult to secure on-campus jobs. Finding part-time work can be challenging if you live in the city. I've been searching for a job myself for the past year, although I did have a part-time job for three months during my first semester. Managing part-time work alongside academics is not difficult at all.

Tips: The University of Melbourne is quite academically oriented when compared to other universities in Melbourne. So, most probably you might hear your friends from another university saying that they don't have exams. But it's quite important to think that exams are a more preferable mode of analysis and can give value to our degree. It also makes sure that we won't steer away from our studies. I was automatically granted a scholarship of 10000 AUD off my fee, but as mentioned, it was assigned to me based on my track record back in India.
Likes (Safety): The campus is extremely safe for students. There are phone booths around the campus, and they provide easy access to security if you’re ever feeling unsafe. The staff of campus buildings are generally very supportive. And the campus security guards do a good job of making the university safe for everyone.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): The job market right now is changing drastically, and many courses are being taken off from the PR options, but I believe the university provides enough resources for us to find jobs and utilise the most of it. Ultimately, I wish to get a job in Australia itself, as biotechnology has a great market.

The Universty of Melbourne provides a lot of facilities and amazing opportunities.
Tips: Melbourne is a fun city, and the people are wonderful. University life has been amazing so far. There are so many clubs that you can join and be a part of, and the academics are also so rigorous and hands-on. I was offered the "Business and Economics Graduate Scholarship". It was given based on my undergrad performance. I really enjoy the course that I am doing, the city is wonderful, and so is the university.
Likes (Part time work): On-campus jobs are really competitive but high-paying. For off-campus part-time jobs, you need to go and hand your resume in at the store for a higher chance of success. Managing part-time and university was a bit challenging in the beginning, but you get used to it as time goes by. The average payout for part-time work is $24/hr, and for casual roles, the pay is usually higher, around $30/hr.
Dislikes (Internships): There is a lot of guidance available for finding internships at university. They have university-source and self-source internships. But the university-source internships are really competitive and hard to get. There are so many internship options of internships available in my field of study.

Come if you’re financially secured as the city can be very expensive.
Tips: I got a 50% scholarship plus a $10000 grant. This was availed through automatic consideration. Aussies are very easy-going and respect people a lot. Be ready to feel alone and homesick in the initial days as well.
Likes (Part time work): I work as a chief in a restaurant part-time. It's off campus, easily manageable, and pays $800 to $900 weekly. On-campus part-time jobs are also available, but fewer in number. I landed the job by handing out physical resumes, and I get annual and sick leave.
Dislikes (Value for money): In my opinion, the Master of Management program is far too expensive for what it has to offer. The overall module structure is very easy. The course selection has limited options, and not everything in the curriculum matched my skill set. But I have to admit that the professors are nice and knowledgeable. The course focuses more on theory and case studies than actual practice.

Vibrant and fun campus life.
Tips: The social life here is unique in that it’s like a circle of friends who are already familiar with each other. So it’s hard to make new friends. There are scholarships available, but they’re really competitive for international students. On the other hand, the campus is very pretty and the university is great, so as long as you’re lucky, you can make some great friends here. While there are job opportunities available, it can still be difficult to find work with the amount of competition. However, the university does have helpful services and websites to aid in the job search. All things considered, it's still a pretty competitive market. Overall, I am satisfied with my experiences.

Tips: I really enjoy the culture at the University of Melbourne, even though it's very different from home. I didn't get any scholarships, but the exposure to new things and the opportunities that have opened up for me are priceless. The University of Melbourne is located in the central business district, which is a safe area that is always well-lit and has people around. The university also provides safety measures, such as security guards who will walk you from class to class or to your on-campus accommodation. These measures help to ensure that you feel safe and secure while you are on campus. The classes are very large, with up to 500 students, so it's hard to get individual attention from the professors. Also, the professors are from many different countries, and some of them are not very fluent in English, which makes it hard to understand them. In addition, I find that my particular course is too math-oriented and doesn't require enough critical thinking, which is not a good fit for my personal aptitude. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my experiences.

Tips: The campus life is amazing and the people are so loving, very warm and welcoming to students. The exams are a bit hard, but you can push through. There are so many parties, functions, and other activities. Plus, you get free food almost every day. There are few on-campus jobs. However, a good number of off-campus jobs are available if you look for them the right way. Part-time work is manageable if you are a good student. The average pay is minimum wage, which is 24 dollars per hour if you are 21 or older, and 19, 20, and 21 dollars if you are 18, 19, and 20, respectively. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my experiences.

Tips: There are multiple things people need to understand before going to a different country. It is not a fairytale. Students work like labourers here, especially at the University of Melbourne. The curriculum is hard, compared to other universities. If you want a job you will need references. I'm a government-sponsored student, I was awarded a 100% scholarship from the Maharashtra government. You can find more details on the sjsa.com website. To avail of this scholarship you should have a family income lower than 6 Lacs per annum, almost above 90% in graduation degree and should be SC caste. Overall University of Melbourne puts a lot of pressure on students, Infrastructure and teachers are good, but student support for career guidance could be improved. On a scale of 1-5, I will give 2.5 for university satisfaction. I will highly advise not to take any management course in any of the unis in Australia as it has no PR or job security. 1 for course satisfaction. Australia as a country is extremely good, clean, friendly people,
Likes (Safety): The University of Melbourne is extremely safe, and there is an extremely low crime rate in the city. This is not particular to this university; every reputed university in Australia is safe. There are security people roaming around the city, and there is no gun culture in the entire country.
Dislikes (Value for money): The courses are extremely expensive and provide very low ROI. Job opportunities are very limited, and it is extremely difficult to find a job or internship. Even people with 10 years of experience in management can't find jobs.

Tips: The university offers grants and scholarships. Students should check them out. Stores here close by 5 pm and most cafes by 3 pm, so if you are not an early riser, you need to change that. I am quite satisfied as the university teaches me and also makes me research to gain better insights.
Likes (Student Life): The university does provide a lot of events and activities on campus to keep the students engaged. There are networking sessions, games, and free food. There are so many clubs to join and engage in their activities. I participate once a week in an activity. The clubs are from cultural, academic as well as hobby backgrounds.
Dislikes (Part time work): The University has not provided us with much options for part-time. Students mostly seek part-time jobs outside. It is quite manageable if you keep your classes for 3 days and work 3 days. You can balance work and studies. The average payout for part-time work is Aud 450 per week.

Tips: It's one of the most livable cities in the world, and it's very student-oriented, which makes it easy to make friends. The university itself has a QS ranking of 13, which makes it the best university in Melbourne, and definitely one of the best in the world. I recommend that you try to make friends in each class you have. If you're an introvert, there are lots of activities that don't require you to mingle with people so much. I'm very satisfied with my experience at the University of Melbourne.
Likes (Internships): Internships here are very popular. While it may be hard to find a paid internship, there are a lot of companies that offer unpaid internships. If you do a good job, you may be able to parlay that experience into a paid position after graduation. I suggest that you download LinkedIn and start networking with people in your field.
Dislikes (Part time work): For Bachelor students, it's a bit hard to get a paid job because Australia mostly considers Australian work experience. However, you can move your way up by joining university clubs and internships, even if they're unpaid. Basically, you just need to engage yourself in activities.

Tips: You are on your own to find a job. The course is difficult and you have to be constantly working during the semester. You should have good financial background and good academic skills. In order to secure a job, make sure you work hard throughout the course, and maintain a good WAM. If you want to go into the industry, try to get some professional experience beforehand. A lot of people are considering a Ph.D. after my course.
Likes (Safety): The country is safe as everyone knows. Generally no thefts or risks to women. Of course, it is not crime-free. The chances of your cycle getting stolen are high. Also, there are people on the street under the influence who can be a nuisance sometimes as they sometimes shoot but often they don't do any harm.
Dislikes (Internships): No internships are provided by the university. You have to find one yourself. However, it is generally hard to find an internship. It is not that tough to find part-time jobs but still requires some work. Good connections can be really helpful for finding a job.

Likes (Safety): The city is very secure and it is one of the best cities to live in the world. It is safe because people follow laws, rules and regulations and you would not see anyone on the road with a knife so until you are a good citizen you are safe here.
Dislikes (Value for money): Even after receiving a scholarship, the fee is too much. If you are not from a very well-to-do family and have taken a loan to be a part of a prestigious university, even if you get a good job, you have a huge amount to pay back. So it is not about what is provided, it's more about how much it costs.

Tips: Students should know that the college offers strong academic support, a diverse community and plenty of extracurricular opportunities. But it's important to stay organised and proactive. Overall, I am satisfied with my university, course and the country; the learning experience, quality of life and the global exposure have been truly rewarding.
Likes (Safety): The campus feels very secure, with regular patrols, CCTV, and STOP 1 in case of any emergency. In addition, ID checks, late-night transport, and mental health support add to the sense of safety. I've had only positive experiences in the city.
Dislikes (Student Life): The campus is vibrant and engaging, with diverse events and clubs. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, attending classes, and participating in cultural and tech events. There is always something new to explore at the university.
