Good exposure and growth.
Tips: After spending a year in London, I realised the real meaning of exposure. I was glad and felt privileged that I got to experience this wonderful city. I could not avail any scholarships as the application deadline was over but there is definitely a scope for everyone to receive a scholarship. I am extremely satisfied with the experience that I had in college. It offered me the latest knowledge in my chosen field.
Likes (Indian Food): There were several types of restaurants in almost all corners of the city. King's College London is located in the heart of London and has ample of restaurants offering all types of cuisines. There is a place called Sagar, which offers amazing veg Indian food.
Dislikes (Internships): The college only organised a few work fairs at the beginning of the session. There was little to no organisation of the student communication channel so that all students from the same classroom can get to know each other. There are no on-campus corporate internships available and all students have to search for opportunities off campus.

Small campus but great student life.
Tips: I learnt what real exposure means after coming to King’s College London. I changed completely after studying for just a year. I could not avail of any scholarships. I am extremely satisfied with the quality of life and education King’s offers. The professors are extremely helpful and are always willing to guide students to the fullest. The lecture and class pattern is arranged such that students get enough time to prepare and learn on their own. The flipped classroom approach (online + offline) is something that didn’t sound good at first but the importance of it came into light later in the year.
Likes (Student Life): The college although it has a small campus size but offers a large number of club activities including sports and fitness, cultural and heritage and other forms of arts. There are several lounging spaces throughout the campus and the facilities are top notch with student mental health in mind.
Dislikes (Part time work): Work fairs and part time centric fairs were only held during the start of the session and then there were minimal to no updates on this topic. Even during these work fairs, companies explained about the roles and offered goodies but the application was still online with no real opportunity highlighted.

Select the course you are interested in, rather than just the college name.
Tips: The quality of your experience largely depends on the course you adopt or take up. Be sure to vet the contents of the course and also know of your faculty members teaching here before investing. The institution is renowned for Competition law and other allied specialities. Do your homework thoroughly before investing.
Likes (Internships): Guidance is available on the careers page of the website, and the alumni network is helpful. The alumni base on LinkedIn is also very helpful in guiding one in the application forms as to the kind of answers and responses that should be given in the application forms for an internship to materials.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): The label of any university is not sufficient - work experience and individual merit matter very much. Will strongly recommend applying for internships in the UK alongside coursework, and also, if you are pursuing a Master's, then gaining some relevant work experience in your home jurisdiction first.

Positive but less hands-on experience.
Tips: The experience at King's is truly one of a kind. You meet so many people, and that is extremely helpful. The cost of living, including accommodation, is quite expensive here. While I am very satisfied with the college infrastructure, there could be more internships and hands-on experience offered.

A great global exposure with best faculty and university.
Tips: I have seen major changes in my personality since I joined this course a year ago. From becoming a multi-tasker to widening my perspective towards cultures and people from all around the world, this growth has been a great blessing. I was not awarded any scholarship. I had the most supportive, helpful, intelligent and fun professors in my course. Made the subject matter super easy and they all had great knowledge of their subject. They encouraged doubts and would sit with you till they were all cleared. The course was structured to get the best out of students. The post-study job market is a bit harsh and it would be great if the college took more initiative in having placements for the students. Overall, I am 100% satisfied with the course, university and the country.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): If you have a great profile before your Master's - for example, 1-2 years of relevant work experience, professional degrees, etc. - then your chances of getting a post-study job are much better compared to someone going for their Master's right after undergraduate. The post-study job market is very competitive, rewarding only the best candidates.

BSc Physics - Batch of 2025

King's College London does not provide much internship opportunities.
Tips: There was not much of a cultural shift. Coming from a metropolitan city, like Delhi, to another metropolitan didn't seem like much of a difference. The only thing that is needed to get used to the city is the cost of living. Takes about a month or so to adjust to the cost of daily expenses. I did not get any scholarships as I am not eligible for any. Being an Indian male studying Physics doesn't really suit the majority of scholarships at King's. The teaching faculty is generally good but the admin staff is not that great for our department. They will always find a way to make you run around to get basic things like your marks or even exam papers. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my experiences here.
Likes (Public transportation): Covent Garden and Holborn station are within walking distance of campus, but using public transportation can quickly become expensive if you exceed your budget. Buses are a good alternative, but convenience depends on where you live and the route you travel. The tube is definitely faster.
Dislikes (Internships): There is not much support from the university. Generally, one has to be part of the relevant student groups/societies to get an idea of how the internship process works in the field of choice. The university has some help available to review CVs/Cover Letters and a practice interview round.

The transition to London helped me gain social skills and boost confidence.
Tips: London can be incredibly expensive. However, there are several ways to find affordable ways of living as a student so ensure you do your research before moving to London. KCL and London in general are very metropolitan so there are countless cultures and ethnicities to mingle with, making it smooth and quite enjoyable. For scholarships, it's quite difficult to avail of any as most are offered to Masters students and the UK very rarely offers scholarships for international students. However, there are different ways to avail of bursaries depending on your university/course. Students should ensure they do extensive research as they tend to be hidden.
Likes (Public transportation): London's public transport is world-renowned, very well-connected, and also very easy to navigate and understand. However, it does tend to be quite expensive if you live far from the city centre. There are buses, the London Underground and the London Overground. Most train services end at night but on the weekend, there are night tubes that run late into the night so it's possible to get home after night out.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): It is quite difficult to secure a job if you're not studying for a highly-value degree. Visa sponsorship is quite easy to secure, especially at bigger firms. Again, depending on the major studied, salaries and roles can range from impossible to secure to incredible remunerative.

One of the financial hubs in the world does help you to transform.
Tips: King's College provides you with various opportunities to showcase your talent. I did transition after coming here both academically and personally. I did not get any scholarships but the college does provide them and other financial aid is available as well.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty here is really qualified with much knowledge and expertise. Most of them work in the banking and finance fields simultaneously. Friendly, helpful and very much approachable if needed. Teaching methods are also very up-to-date and provide access to financial software such as Bloomberg, Stata and MATLAB.
Dislikes (Value for money): Being an international student, 40 Lakhs of tuition fees for one year of Masters degree plus living expenses in London, with no job placement and security, the value for money is not justified. Part-time work hours for students are also very restricted.

Great but could be better
Tips: The process of shifting is quite well but learn to find all the contacts needed beforehand to solve issues. Contact people and don't hesitate. Find fixed places to eat quickly. Join forums or clubs etc. in case you will feel lonely really fast even if you have friends. Talk to everyone a little and branch out.
Likes (Indian Food): I prefer cooking myself but there are still many Indian food options in London. Most of them are quite well made as well. As for pricing, it's cheaper if you go to the restaurant and not if you order at home. Try to find places with student discounts because they have many of those.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): It has quite a direct way of immigration if you're a student. There's the graduate visa option for now which can give you time to search for jobs etc. There are also a lot of immigrants which shows it's not exactly impossible. The only issue is the current government which may come out with new policies making it tough.

Overall good experience at KCL.
Tips: The city is good. The course has a great structure and the university has a lot of resources. The degree is tough but rewarding. There are a lot of opportunities for internships/placements. Living in London is a great experience (barring the slight safety problems).
Likes (Public transportation): London has very accessible public transport. Between the tube, overground, national express, bus, night buses and walking, I think it's possible to get anywhere in London. As a student, you also get a discount on public transport. It's available most times of the day and is very convenient to use.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): It's possible to get permanent immigration, but it's difficult to get a sponsorship. It truly depends on what course you're doing and what market you're applying for jobs in. If I had the chance I would consider permanently migrating to the UK for sure. The job prospects and academic potential here are far higher than my country of origin.

Most beautiful campus in London
Tips: It is a top university and one of the best in the UK. Its campuses are at the heart of London, with so many sites and attractions nearby. However, this does mean the university is not for everyone as it is a very busy and fast-paced environment in London.
Likes (Quality of faculty): King's College London has amazing faculty members for all different departments. It also has several university campuses and student halls across London. The university has top-end lecture halls, laboratories and sports facilities. It has unarguably the best university campuses in London compared to other London universities.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Immigration lawns are very strict at the moment in the UK. Difficult to find jobs in the UK as a whole but is slightly easier to find jobs in London. This does however mean jobs, especially graduate jobs in London are very competitive. To get more immigration information please refer to the UK government website.

Once in a lifetime opportunity to study here.
Tips: One of the standout features of this university is the extensive array of societies. Whether one's passion lies in arts, sciences, sports or social causes there is a society for everyone. The university also provides ample opportunities for students to work whilst studying so they can develop their professional skills gain valuable experience and manage their finances effectively all while pursuing their academic endeavours.
Likes (Value for money): Once-in-a-lifetime experience. You will not regret it. It is a little expensive compared to other areas but there is a lot to see and explore while studying at university. There are also a lot of universities in London so you get the chance to network with people from different courses backgrounds and beliefs.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Not many jobs are available for post-graduates, but if you do get one they are quite good in terms of work culture and salary. I am not too sure about this topic as I am not a post-graduate, but there are quite a few people who are without a graduate scheme and some people who have secured amazing graduate schemes.

Amazing life at King's College London, UK
Tips: One of the best universities to get into. Also the life in London is amazing. The connectivity of public transport is something which is commendable. The college is in the heart of the city and has almost every facility available for students. The teachers are well experienced and helpful.
Likes (Student Life): Life at KCL is simply amazing. There are several things going on at any given point in time to keep the students engaged. The campus is clean and very near to the tube stations making it very convenient for the students to walk from tube to the college.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): The faculty are very interactive and help out with any problems that students have. They have designed a very engaging way of studying and making the students understand the root of everything. The college is good but there is a bit of placement issue.
Tips: My friends and colleagues have all graduated from King’s College London. It has a good placement record and is the best college for our future. There are many groups in the college for different problems, like social discrimination and ragging, that allow us to resolve issues, give people more work, and improve the security solution. There is a little bit of an issue with the placement in the college. It has something to do with the companies that have been coming to our campus. There are many, but they only hire students who have higher qualifications or abilities. That’s why you might encounter a few issues while getting placed. By applying to and completing the admission process, we can confirm our enrollment there, begin our studies, and work toward a degree.

King's College London is expensive but worth it.
Tips: The courses are challenging so you have to work hard. Make sure you attend classes regularly. You'll spend a lot of time at the library so you need to learn how to manage your time and stay focused. The professors are great, the curriculum is amazing, and the people are very helpful. London life is amazing, and exploring the city was a lot of fun. The people are really nice, and you feel at home. Everything is very systematic, so you will have a lot of fun.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): The job market is currently very bad in the UK and immigrants are not being considered for employment. King's College London- Pre-planning and living in London Central.
Tips: There are no scholarships at King's. London is much more expensive than you think. The food is very bland, so you should know how to cook. The courses are highly competitive, and almost half of my class failed their first and second attempts. So, make sure you are here to study, because it will be a major factor moving forward. Choose your accommodations wisely. Options are university accommodations, off-campus shared houses near the university making travel costs almost zero but rent is too high as it is central London or off-campus accommodations that are farther away but less expensive.
Likes (Public transportation): I lived in central London near Borough station, and could walk to my university. However, the busses and tubes were equally convenient. Now that I live in the outskirts, I've noticed that there is public transportation to every corner of the city. In other cities, like Cardiff, where my friend lives, travel is limited to trains and occasional busses. London's public transportation is so good that you don't realize how good it is until you leave the city.
Dislikes (Value for money): I paid around 30 Lakhs INR, which I feel wasn't worth it because I really had to do most of the work myself and I also ended up writing the wrong exam, ultimately making me lose my distinction which isn't something I would expect when I pay so much for a university.

Stepping beyond comfort: A memorable year at Imperial.
Tips: The environment at college is really fast paced and 1 year of Master's can go really fast. It's important that students come prepared with what they want to do during their time here and manage their time well. There is some cultural shift initially but one gets used to it in a few months as the environment pushes you outside the comfort zone. One needs to adapt and be flexible to the multi cultural environment. The exposure to students all across the globe helped to build my confidence, mindset, and independence. I didn't get any scholarships. I am very satisfied with everything as it helped me become a better person and gave me many opportunities to meet new people and work with them.
Likes (Indian Food): There are many Asian restaurants- Indian, Chinese, Thai around the South Kensington area but they are quite expensive. On average a meal could cost between GBP 20-30. There are superstores such as Tesco, Waitrose, Sainsbury's that have ready made Indian meals both veg & non veg options and the price is around GBP 3-4. I preferred eating outside on weekdays and cooking for myself during the weekends.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): There are very limited jobs for international students and companies usually do not consider candidates who require visa sponsorship. I would like to immigrate permanently but it requires a visa to be sponsored and companies need to pay international students higher salaries than local people. This can be a challenge unless someone has significant work experience.

There is a brilliant career support and post study job offerings by Imperial College of London.
Tips: Getting into the Imperial College of London is not an easy joke. Nothing guarantees your admission to Imperial College of London. You have to work hard. You have to create SOP's LOR, which makes you stand out from their rest. On top of that, you need brilliant GMAT scores to make it into the Imperial College of London.
Likes (Post study jobs): There is brilliant career support and post study job offerings by Imperial College of London. It is a reputed college ranked second in the world and first in the UK. Its business school is the main highlight quality of teaching. The faculty are extremely talented and beyond ordinary. Imperial graduates of land, the highest packages among all the business school graduates, even before the completion of their programme.
Dislikes (Value for money): The fee for the university for the M.Sc. Management course is very much higher 48,000 per year. The acceptance rate of Imperial College of London for the Business School is very low. Even if you have great qualifications and experience, there is no certainty of a hundred percent acceptance. Considering the job market nowadays, Imperial graduates also find it difficult to find a job. So putting 60 Lacs just in tuition fee is not worth the money, according to me. Do apply for scholarships.

MSc Management - Batch of 2023

Very hands on practical stuff; academically wasn’t great.
Tips: I honestly would say it was the biggest struggle phase of my life but it was worth it. You have to fight it through to get what you want. I have grown a lot, professionally and personally knowing different perspectives of different people and culture. I received an Imperial Excellence scholarship, which was around 10,000, because of my interview performance and my background with tech and internships I did.
Likes (Public transportation): Connectivity is the best part of London both intercity and Europe. It’s expensive I would say, it costs me about 150 - 200 a month in the tube. So, it is convenient but a bit expensive especially if you stay in Zone 2-3 to reach to zone 1, cause zone 2-3 are cheaper rent wise.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): I have rated it 3 because lately everyone’s been against immigration and countries like the UK have changed their law in terms of ILR status from 5 years to 10 years to reduce them, so it’s very uncertain. If it were upto me, I would move here permanently. For me, I still don’t know what are my chances. I do have a skilled worker visa, but with the laws changing daily, it’s become impossible to predict

Great academic experience with strong support.
Tips: Students should know that the college is academically strong and offers great resources, but requires active engagement. Transitioning was smooth, though adapting to a more independent learning style and cultural differences took some adjustment. I did not take any scholarship. Overall, I am very satisfied with my university, course, and life in the UK.
Likes (Value for money): The curriculum, faculty, and resources were top-notch, providing practical skills and industry exposure that directly enhanced my career prospects. Considering the quality of education and long-term benefits, the tuition fee is well justified.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): The UK provides the potential pathways to permanent settlement for graduates who continue working here, but the process can be lengthy and dependent on visa rules, so it is not fully certain. My chances seem pretty good as I am already employed here on a skilled worker visa. With careful planning, I believe I could secure permanent settlement in the UK.

Imperial College - A great college for international students.
Tips: There's a sizable Indian community here, so you will never feel alone, and the cultural shift will be very manageable. Everyone is really friendly and helpful too. I'm not sure how many scholarships there are for international students, apart from ones for exceptional performance in the admissions process. I am very satisfied with my course and university, and the country as a whole.
Likes (Indian Food): There's a shop very close to the South Kensington campus called Chaiwala, where you can find a lot of Indian food. The prices are a little bit high as this is London, but it's quite a nice quality. Most people have student accommodation at a place called North Action, where there are a lot more options for Indian food too.
Dislikes (Part time work): You can find lots of opportunities for part-time work, with the most common job being tutoring. Tutoring is probably the best job due to the flexibility and the pay available, but other jobs like being a waiter/waitress, bartender, or shop assistant are easily found. It is tough to balance work with studies, especially at Imperial, but it is certainly possible with dedication and discipline.

The reality of UK colleges and job market.
Tips: It's not just about my college, Imperial College London, which is no. 1 in the UK, but about joining any tier 1 college, may it be Oxford, Cambridge, LBS, etc. Students should know the following: 1) Your job hunt starts in the month of September for Fall intake students. 2) You would mostly be eligible for graduate jobs meant for MSc students, usually students with less than 4 years of experience. 3) Job hunting predominantly lies in your hands, while college could assist when explicitly asked for, however, you are pretty much on your own. 4) Aim to secure a job within 3 to 4 months of your joining the college. So, if your college starts in September, ideally, you could secure a full-time graduate job by October to November end. 5) Prepare well in advance for assessment tests for graduate jobs, you pretty much cannot avoid that. Maybe 1 in 50 jobs will not have a test, the rest do. Assessment tests could be psychometric, quants, qualitative, deductions, gaming simulation, etc.
Likes (Public transportation): London is known for its public transportation and it's not just hyped but it is actually well connected whether it's tube, bus, overground, train, tram, etc. The transport is reasonable, smooth and well connected even if you are living away from central London. Student passes also help with the overall transport.
Dislikes (Value for money): Tuition fees are higher for tier 1 colleges as well, and the chances of getting a better job are higher, however, your chances do not increase as much as your fees do. The average salary is 30,000 pounds per annum, which does not change just because your college is better.

Start your application as early as possible.
Tips: Consider expecting a cultural shift if you're moving abroad. Research course satisfaction, content and reviews beforehand. Expect a rigorous academic environment which expects a lot. Socialise and make as many connections as you can. Start applying for jobs and internships as soon as you get accepted and decide on joining Imperial, the sooner you start the better off you will be.

Life and academics as a masters student at Imperial college London is satisfying.
Tips: The college has a great reputation and alumni network. The course is one of the most popular courses offered by Imperial College. It offers great placement opportunities which drove my attention. Although, as an oversea student, there might be some minor problems with the changed environment. But, the people at the college are quite welcoming.

Highly academic institution.
Tips: The college is in a great location and the staff are highly skilled and very welcoming. Be prepared to do a lot of academics since academics are of the highest priority in this institution. The exams are quite hard, so you need to really learn and be present and always be at the top of your work.
Likes (Public transportation): The transport system in London is well connected. There are tubes and trains that allow you to travel within and outside London easily. The buses are also well-connected. However, the tubes tend to get very crowded and are also quite expensive, so plan accordingly
Dislikes (Part time work): Average pay for part time work starts at 13 GBP/hr. The on campus jobs are not great and quite limited. However, the UK doesn’t have a limit on where you can work, except that you can only work for 20 hours per week maximum as a student. You can find jobs outside quite easily.

College is good for academics and research.
Tips: As with any study abroad experience, you might experience culture shift, but there are many Indian families here that celebrate our festivals, so feel free to join them and have a good time. The public transport system is well-maintained and provides affordable, clean, and accessible transportation. I don't worry about getting around because the government provides public buses that are clean, well-maintained, and safe. I am very satisfied with my university and the course I chose. In addition, the country itself is friendly, and although there are some occurrences of racism, many Indian people live there, so it's nothing to worry about.
Likes (Indian Food): If you’re non vegetarian you don’t have to worry about food because there are plenty of options available. But if you are a vegetarian you can easily get some great Indian food at the restaurants here.

Imperial College London is good but has room for improvement.
Tips: Before joining Imperial College London, students should know about the campus culture, academic expectations, and local living conditions. I didn't apply for any scholarships, but I think it would be helpful to search for them early and check university-specific options. While the academics are strong, some aspects like accommodation and support services could be improved. Overall, I am satisfied with the university, the course, and the country.
Likes (Public transportation): The public transportation system at Imperial College London is good. The campus is well connected with the rest of the city, and buses and tubes are the most commonly used modes of transportation. There are also cycling lanes and ride-hailing services available. The oyster and contactless payment systems make it very convenient to get around.
Dislikes (Safety): I encountered several issues that made me feel unsafe in the city. First, there was a lot of pickpocketing in popular areas. Second, I witnessed antisocial behaviour on the streets. Third, I felt unsafe travelling late at night on public transportation.
