Master of Cybersecurity - Batch of 2025
3.1
Be prepared for everything and don’t think the university will support.
Tips: Students should know how to manage time. And students should try to fulfil the primary reason which is studies. If they come to a country for studies. They should concentrate on studies. Not about making money. Universities will offer a scholarship during the letter of offer period. I had a few issues with my university, which they failed to resolve on time and required follow-up even after I completed my course.
Likes (Indian Food): There are a lot of restaurants nearby and inside the campus. Usually, it will be 20 dollars per meal. Initially I cooked food myself. But in some circumstances, due to a busy schedule, I had to buy food to save time. Especially during assignment and exam times.
Dislikes (Internships): It’s hard to secure an internship unless you pay money to an agent to get you one. The university won’t help in this matter. My field of study is cybersecurity and it requires permanent residence or citizenship to secure an internship or job. My work experience from India is in IT. To secure a job in IT is hard at this moment.

University with the best campus.
Tips: If students want to feel that they are going to study at the university, starting with the huge campus which encourages and motivates individuals to learn. The teaching staff is friendly and helps us teach. Multicultural exposure and networking help us get placed by connecting with more people. University helps us in every way possible with our desired likes we can choose any kind of social unions that help us grow personally and professionally. Universe also provides support services such as academic skills workshops, counselling, career services, and library resources. Students can do part-time jobs but they have to be aware that they should balance their academic studies and job. Neglecting the studies might risk oneself to fail which would delay our degree and also incur unnecessary subject fees.

Master of Marketing - Batch of 2026
4.4
Empowering learning through practical insights and industry engagement.
Tips: There is a cultural shift, but you usually get used to it after a week or two. There are multiple scholarships you can apply for; just email them or check their website for options. I am pretty satisfied with my university; it is one of the good universities for a master's in marketing, and the professors are excellent.
Likes (Public transportation): There is a bus terminal at the university connecting all nearby railway stations and tram stops. A 12-hour shuttle service runs every 10 minutes from Reservoir Station to the university. There is also a glider service during dark hours, which is free when public transport is available.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): The university has nothing to do with your ability to settle or immigrate; that all depends on the government. It all depends on what course you're in. If you're in a healthcare or trades course, you're more likely to be able to settle in the country permanently, but business courses don't tend to provide the same opportunities.

Diversity and hassle free university.
Tips: I had transitioned after coming here. I was not good at cooking before, but now I can prepare a decent meal and have become independent in every aspect of life. The work-life balance here is good. There is no overtime work, and there is a minimum wage policy, unlike India and other countries. I got the LA Trobe scholarship for Excellence, which had a 25 % discount on tuition fees.
Likes (Student Life): Student life is good in general terms. Based on my experience, a student can have a quality time on campus. I spend time going to workshops often and watching recorded lectures off campus. There are a lot of student clubs and unions one could join based on their interest.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Finding post-study jobs is not as easy compared in the USA or Canada. There are a lot of constraints, like having good years of experience in the job, and being able to give a reference. Not many companies offer sponsor visas. If one gets the job, the salary packages generally range from 60000 - 120000 after graduation.

The best way to get a part-time job in Australia is through referrals.
Tips: There are some cultural shocks, like people here have a very balanced work culture, unlike India. It wasn't as hard to adapt as I thought it would be. I did secure a 25 percent discount on tuition fees. I got the scholarship because of a good CGPA score at college.
Likes (Safety): Melbourne is generally very safe. Emergency services always responded immediately when they were needed. There was one exception to my experience where my brother’s bike was stolen in a shopping centre in broad daylight. How safe an area is will depend on the specific location, but overall, I had no problem with safety while I was in Melbourne.
Dislikes (Part time work): Finding part-time work while studying in Australia is not easy, but it can be done. The best way to get a part-time job in Australia is through referrals, which are often better than any other method. While there are both on-campus and off-campus jobs, it's harder to secure an on-campus job compared to an off-campus one. If you're well-organised and focused, you should be able to manage part-time work while still studying. If you manage to get a part-time job, all work in Australia must follow the Minimum Wage scheme, so you'll be getting paid at least 23 AUD per hour, regardless of industry.

There are plenty of student clubs and communities that you should join to build connections.
Tips: I didn't experience much of a culture shock but the way of life here is definitely different. Initially, it can feel a little overwhelming but the people are very warm and friendly which makes the adjustment easier. It also takes a little time to get used to the public transportation system and living independently but you'll get there with a bit of patience and persistence. In my opinion, if you don't have family or friends in the country, like I didn't it's a good idea to connect with people from your community. They are usually very supportive, understand the challenges you're facing and as a bonus you'll often find someone who speaks your mother tongue. I received a 50% scholarship from the university along with an OSHC grant which was one of the key factors that influenced my decision to choose this university. The QS ranking for my course in Australia was strong, which was a major reason why I had applied here in the first place. I absolutely love Melbourne it's a fantastic city for students.
Likes (Student Life): Based on the subjects you enrol in you will receive a timetable for each semester or term of study. If you are studying in a term, typically 6 weeks you usually take 2 subjects;if you are enrolled in a semester typically 12 weeks you generally take 4 subjects. In my course the core subjects were mostly scheduled in the evening, around 3 hours per class the electives were held in the morning, ranging from 1 to 2 hours depending on the syllabus. Apart from attending classes I also worked a part-time job with hours depending on my roster for the week. Saturday were usually reserved for trips or activities organised by the university. The remaining time was spent doing household chores meeting friends working on assignments and preparing for classes quizzes or exams. There are also plenty of student clubs and communities that you can join, based on your nationality interests or course of study. I was the president of a student association that organised activities mainly for international students. These included sightseeing trips, information nights student pantry initiatives and social events. There are other clubs that would interest the Indian community, such as the Bollywood club dance club and many others.
Dislikes (Part time work): I did not take up a job at the university but I know people who did and were quite happy with their experiences. I personally found a part-time job to support my cost of living. There are plenty of off-campus opportunities available however with the increasing number of international students securing a job has become more competitive. Balancing work and study is manageable you just have to be organised and adjust your working availability based on your study loads, assignment deadlines, class timings and exam schedule. When I first came to Australia international students were allowed to work unlimited hours. However, starting in 2023 the limit was changed to 48 hours per fortnight. Wages in Australia are generally fixed according to the industry and the skill required. I worked at a fast-food restaurant and earned minimum wage. There are other industries that offer higher hourly rates if you find a role that suits your skills and availability.

The teaching faculty is quite diverse. A majority of professors are from East Asian countries.
Tips: There was definitely a cultural shift. One of the biggest differences I notice is the level of independence expected from students. No one really monitors whether you attend classes or submit assignments on time it's completely up to you. This has pushed me to become more responsible and independent in managing my studies part-time work and everyday adult responsibilities. I received a 30% scholarship from La Trobe University based on my academic performance at my previous university in India. Generally if your grades are above 70% there's a good chance you'll qualify for a scholarship at many Australian universities. I'm quite satisfied. Australia is a great and relatively safe country for international students. Racism can be a concern in some countries it's very rare here since most people are welcoming and supportive. The university is good so far but if you have the budget I would recommend aiming for one of the Group of Eight universities. They have more industry collaborations and higher chances of landing graduate roles sometimes even before graduation.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty in our department is very approachable. Students can easily set up a meeting either online or in person simply by sending an email. The professors are generally open to discussions and willing to support students outside of class hours. The teaching may not be particularly unique many faculty members are excellent in their specific areas. They often use analogies and real life examples that make complex concepts easier to understand. This practical approach greatly enhances our learning experience. The teaching faculty is quite diverse. A majority of professors are from East Asian countries with a few from Western countries, and only a small number are local.
Dislikes (Public transportation): The campus is well connected to the rest of the city through multiple public transport options. Trams trains and buses are all available and frequently run making it easy to travel to and from the campus without much hassle. Public transport is quite convenient and student friendly. With a valid student concession card the fares are discounted which makes it more affordable. The Myki card system used in most parts of Victoria is simple to use and allows easy transfers between different modes of transport.

The university is culturally diverse and very welcoming to all people.
Tips: The university is culturally diverse and very welcoming to all people. You must attend all labs and lectures to gain better experience, and staying on campus is better as you get to participate in all the university events and make new friends. If you do not fail in any subject, you may avail yourself of the international student scholarship. The course is for those who have the ability and determination to dedicate time and effort into this for two years, as it can get challenging. The teaching faculty is very helpful and welcoming. The country is very beautiful and has a really good urban and rural side to it.
Likes (Safety): The university is located away from the city but still provides a lot of safety measures for students. Security is available 24/7, and the campus is under surveillance. Shuttle or glider rides are available for students who want to travel to the nearest train station after 6 p.m.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Post-study jobs are rare and may require a good weighted average mark to secure any placements within the university. Opportunities to teach are available if your professor notices your work, and salary packages may range from 60,000 to 90,000 AUD.

La Trobe University has the best cultural events and the campus is very diverse.
Tips: It's not easy to move from one area to another. It's something that takes time, but when you get the hang of it, you find it can be really interesting. People face a lot of challenges as they go through life, but that's part of what makes the journey interesting and worth the hassle. I spend my days in college studying and attending classes. I like the library of the university, which has diverse books and departments for resources. There are a lot of multicultural clubs, which organize tons of activities for students to participate in. La Trobe University's faculty is very accessible. The quality of the teaching faculty is high, and on a national scale there is diversity among the teachers. The teachers are all very friendly and supportive, and eager to help students with anything they need.

Not too competitive, a laid-back environment that still allows you to compete on a global scale.
Tips: The cultural shock was massive, luckily I was smart enough to adapt and assimilate into the culture in a few months. Be prepared to not agree with everyone's views but still have the maturity to be cordial with them. I received the La Trobe Excellence Scholarship of amount 30% on my tuition fees. I was automatically considered for it due to my grades in High School. I am fairly satisfied with La Trobe and it has given me the opportunity to build a supportive community of students and staff that are constantly guiding me towards success.
Likes (Student Life): La Trobe's Bundoora campus is my favourite part. Tons of amazing study spots and great places to relax with some wildlife. Plenty of volunteering opportunities where I am highly active such as the Student Union food bank and the La Trobe Leaders' programme. The student clubs are high in number but fail to be active throughout the academic year, although they seem to be improving recently and offer more engagement.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Very low chances of permanent immigration directly as a benefit of my degree as it does not fall under the PR list category and I do not have a wish to settle here permanently anyway. I would possibly like to get a PR later in life because of the number of local Aussie and other international friends that I enjoy spending time with. Australia also has a nice laid-back attitude that is great for vacation.

Peaceful but very hard to socialize.
Tips: There will be a lot of transition after entering this country. First, get at least two sets of sweaters that can resist 0-degree temperatures for Melbourne and Adlite. Second, homesickness will affect your mental health, try going out to meet people at different events in Melbourne. You can find a community like "Study Melbourne" and "Couch" for international students. Facebook Market and Gumtree are the best places to find short-term accommodation and furniture for lower prices. Scholarships depend on your merit scoring, your family background and activities related to sports. Most of the universities will offer 15% to 30% of scholarships for international students from India. This university is good for health-related courses and social work courses. Other courses do not have much value or impact on getting a job.
Likes (Part time work): There are plenty of job opportunities but you need to know someone who can refer you in getting the job in the first place. Direct application can take a lot of time, as people trust the person who is regular to work. Commitment is very important and be very clear in communication, don't hide your feelings at any cost. If you are losing a job that is fine, don't lose your mental pace, as you are on your own.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Australia has a lot of opportunities for non-IT jobs, as 5% chance that a person can get an IT job as a beginner. As this country plays well for an odd job compared to an IT professional, setting in this country for Indians can take up to four years. So, my suggestion is that people looking for jobs related to mechanics, carpenters, and mining can get their PR within 3 years if their ages range from 25 to 32.

La trobe is a very resourceful and excellent university with great educational value.
Tips: The studies are very tough. So please focus a lot on getting the best of your education along with working and paying for yourself. Also, please find your community within the university and talk to counsellors in case you face any hurdles they will help.
Likes (Safety): The campus, residence areas and transportation are all very safe, at all times. Never felt unsafe anywhere. I have travelled even at late night and everywhere is safe. Police are very vigilant at the station and patrolling. There is no safety issue as such in Melbourne.
Dislikes (Part time work): Not many on campus work options. Off campus opportunities vary from person to person depending on the skill they have. My university is affordable, welcoming with many opportunities for international students.
Tips: The major shift that I experienced was the variation of study patterns and expectations of the teachers. It took me some time to delve into their way of study. I availed the Vice-chancellor 100% scholarship that is applied to the entire academic field of my course. I got that by submitting my resume and a video testimonial. Very satisfied with my overall experience here.
Likes (Public transportation): The campus is very well connected with the public transport. There are several bus stop on the campus that takes you to the nearest train station or even the city and other locations as well. During the semester, free glider service is also run by the university that drops off at certain locations. Public transport is pretty affordable, costing around $10 for a day of travel.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): The chances of me getting a PR are low. Because the course that I've select does not fall in the PR course list and the campus location is not regional which makes it even more difficult to get the points required for PR. If given a chance and good job opportunities, I might consider getting a PR.

La trobe university is very good overall as compared to other universities in Melbourne.
Tips: I did not find any cultural shift and it feels like I am in my own country. I got 20% of scholarship and it's very helpful for me based on my previous grades and work experience. I was fully satisfied with the course structure of the university, and Melbourne City is lively. Australia is a good country to study.
Likes (Safety): Studying and enjoying both are essential for a student. There is a recreational activity every Tuesday which involves fun activities along with an educational theme. You can participate in these activities based on your own interest. There are a number of clubs presently running here at the university from technical to social groups.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Everyone is helpful and you will get support from teachers. Practical based learning and creative lab environment for the students. Library facilities are good and you will find numerous methods of study and relaxation. In short everything is good at la trobe university.

A space for growth and belonging.
Tips: You'll master most areas if you're dedicated or passionate. Pursuing a scholarship before university application is highly recommended. I achieved a 90% in my bachelor's and was given an excellence scholarship as a result.
Likes (Safety): Safety in Melbourne is significantly better than in other countries. There is no gun culture, and people are respectful. With 95% of shops, malls and restaurants closing by 8 pm, it contributes to a safer environment.
Dislikes (Internships): Life abroad is like starting your second life and it all depends on yourself. Internships can be achieved not only with your skills but also require your interpersonal skills. A delightful experience at La Trobe with friendly people.
Tips: It's very student-friendly, and there are lots of activities throughout the year. The course is okay. There are a lot of university-sourced internships, but the process of landing one is usually harder than others. Companies prefer providing these opportunities to domestic students because they are looking for long-term employees. A lot of the internships out there do not accept applications from international students. I love Australia, and I have a great group of friends to support me and have fun with. With good company, everything goes great. I'm very satisfied with my choice of university.
Likes (Indian Food): Australia is a very multicultural place where you'll see people from all sorts of countries so international people are a norm here. To accommodate all the citizens from abroad, there are a lot of food options to run around here especially when it comes to Asian cuisine. Indian places to eat especially are a handful as Indian food is well-loved here. On that note, I would say that the palette of taste is very different from back home. It takes a while to get used to it but it's never going to taste the same. Everything tastes very different even if you take big fast food joints such as McDonald's, KFC, and a lot of other fast food chains.

Tips: There are many things to learn before coming to Melbourne. First priority should be fluency in English. You should also know what subjects and majors you are interested in. Be careful with your spending on studies and courses. A minimum of one-year prior experience is required before coming abroad. Driving skills are a must. A minimum of three years license is required to obtain an Australian driver's license. You cannot rely on public transportation every day. Scholarships are awarded 20-25%, based on previous academics, work experience, and English exam results. Remember, your main focus should be on your studies and not neglecting the rules to do heavy part-time and pay your college fees.
Likes (Indian Food): We have literally 5-10 Indian restaurants in the surroundings, so there's no problem when it comes to food and affordability. When it comes to grocery availability and affordability, it is good but you need to work on it before coming here. Learn cooking; it saves a lot of money. Time management is key. Be careful with the assignments you submit and timely communication and reaction are key.
Dislikes (Part time work): We have no part-time jobs on campus, and the wait period for a job is too long. However, we can find casual work outside of school. Australian law allows us to work up to 24 hours per week during the school year. The average pay for casual work is 25 Dollars per hour. If you get a casual job, you can earn at least 500-600 Dollars per week. The rest of your expenses can be covered with your savings.

An experience of learning and exploration.
Tips: If you are open and easily adaptive your life gets simple around. There are many challenges such as weather, balancing studies, work and chores altogether, feeling lonely and left out often during families and pressure to get along with others so you don't feel left out. Talking about the cultural shift is the culture here is exactly opposite from where I came from. People here are really friendly and helpful if you are friendly enough. I availed a 7500 pounds scholarship and addition 1000 pounds scholarship for my accommodation. It depends on what course you choose and your choice of accommodation. Extremely satisfied with the university and helpful faculty, due to recent changes in the course structure it is more practical now. I guess it is a good opportunity for an upcoming student. Good experiences.
Likes (Indian Food): There are many restaurants and fast food options available. Not only Indian but many other cuisine options to go for. You can order food online and students get discounts as well. I prefer cooking myself most of the times but when it's the deadline period its hard to manage all together.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Due to recent changes in Visa rules and salary threshold, and the years required to stay for getting a PR. It is hard to get one as a permanent settlement option. I would say no, I'll probably move back to India or maybe some other country as visa policies are highly unpredictable and unreliable.

Fun and vibrant student life.
Tips: Till now, what I have seen is that mostly it depends on the person's luck but even I am still processing what is happening around me. But I would like to have some patience and faith in myself as there is some more time. I would like to have a permanent settlement but just I am trusting the process. The transition is not much, once they come, they will get to experience everything without any expectations. If they're here then everything will be easy. A scholarship of 3000 pounds for my course, everyone will get that and 1500 pounds if we pay the rural fee within a certain duration of time. I'm very happy with my decision to move here and this experience in my life was much needed for me and helped a lot for me to be a better person.
Likes (Student Life): Mostly travelling to attend the classes and in the union or in my room, spending some alone time or with friends just chilling out. There would be a lot of activities but I was kind of busy with my own things. I am not in any of the clubs or communities but I regret that I'm not in any of them.

Great university with good faculty and a great experience.
Tips: It is not different from any other university experience. However make sure to sign up for a lot of university events in the first few weeks that would help in great networking and awareness of what is happening around the campus. I availed of a few scholarships offered by my university, but those are automatically allotted to international students. The faculty are mostly Asians and most classmates would be Asians too.
Likes (Safety): I stayed in a student accommodation and am currently in an individual accommodation. I would say Belfast is safer than any other UK city, but it does not mean we can roam around all night in dodgy places and say the same. People don’t usually bother you until we speak to them.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Permanent settlement is a great challenge in the UK currently. Given an option I would like to complete my master's and work in a related field for the next 2-3 years and transfer to a new country with more scope and continue working there. We should make sure to work in a field related to our degree so the experience can be used in our paper.

Great university, amazing campus, fun activities throughout the study year.
Tips: One would learn many things out of their comfort zone. Independent, relentless while you speak with people, learn to make new contacts. Good scholarships depend on one's credibility. Student life is a great experience but post student life is okay, just until you're coming for a good course.
Likes (Student Life): Great student life and friendly staff. We have social events and cultural events. Good support for assignments. An amazing campus where you can spend time and meet new people. Dance events, sports events, loads of activities and much more to explore around as well. Good student experience overall.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Rules changes have a lot on immigration. I would think thrice before deciding if I want to live here permanently or not. Job opportunities are declining apart from AI opportunities. If you are well experienced in any field, make sure your occupation ones under the skilled worker job code.

Just keep exploring and everyday will be a new surprise.
Tips: Not everyone would talk to you. It doesn't mean that people here don't like you. Sometimes you could be mistaken for a racist mentality. But the people are quite in general. They are polite if you ask for help. But don't expect they will always be willing to talk. I don't mean to say there is 0 racism here. But their basic human nature and racist attitude are distinguishable. Eating out could be expensive. Make the right friends. Take time to cook your own food rather than buying a pack of tortillas. Home cooked meal hits different.
Likes (Value for money): I study at Patrick Johnson centre for Cancer Research. It's one of the most advanced centres and the Principal investigators get loads of funding for the project. This is really important if you are aspiring to work in research. The labs, the projects, the seminars, the modules, and the help you get to learn everything are 10/10.
Dislikes (Part time work): The college schedule of MRes Cancer Medicine is for 5 days a week 9 am to 5 pm. It becomes pretty tiring to go to work after college and work for at least 4-5 hours. Anyway, this experience is tough. But you get a good hang of this routine. Unknowingly, it is making you tough for your struggle.

Tips: Students should know that the college is situated in Belfast, which is bit isolated from the rest of the UK. However, faculty members and support staff are excellent here. Diversity that becomes a family at QUB.
Tips: It's a great place to study after moving to Belfast; the people are very kind, and the nightlife is good. When you come to a new country, try to blend in and explore the culture. The university offers financial aid, but you might need to provide supporting documentation. A loan document could be helpful. It offers around 500. I am very satisfied with my time here.
Likes (Part time work): We have opportunities in the union with many roles, even off-campus; we have access to plenty of jobs. The kind and polite people create a nice working environment that is manageable with academics. I would suggest avoiding food chain jobs. On average, a student can earn £850 per month.
Dislikes (Internships): There are fewer internship opportunities in Belfast compared to the mainland. Since most courses start in September, many internship postings come out in October and November, which is when new students arrive and often miss out. Therefore, I would recommend starting your search as soon as you begin your course.

Good for PhD studies, but not recommended for a Master's degree.
Tips: It’s advisable to have prior work experience as there are no placement services or a dedicated placement year. Enrolling at the bachelor’s level is recommended as it can positively influence your mindset. This university primarily focuses on research and not industry oriented training, so manage your job expectations accordingly.
Likes (Student Life): The student union is excellent for relaxing. There’s a library for studying and group discussions, a large gym a swimming pool and other facilities. Belfast has a good nightlife with pubs. Be aware of junkies as they may try to start fights.
Dislikes (Internships): The university doesn’t offer internships unlike other courses. Moreover we struggle to secure external internships due to visa issues. Therefore applying for graduate roles and internships feels like a waste of time. I’m unsure what the future holds as they’ve also altered the course modules.

Perfectly designed university for students.
Tips: I love the culture here in Belfast. The people are amazing and friendly, both in Belfast and in other cities in Northern Ireland. I got a PGT scholarship with an early bird offer of 2000+1500 = 3500. After subtracting the scholarship amount, I paid the fee amount. I am very satisfied with the course, the country, and the university.
Likes (Part time work): I spend my day walking from the student accommodation to my university, which takes about 15-20 minutes. I love learning with my classmates, and the campus is amazing. The student union is a great place to hang out, socialize, and work. They have a piano and organize many events, including career fairs, festivals, and treasure hunts. There are also many clubs, including hiking, sports, equestrian, education, spiritual, and water sports clubs.
Dislikes (Internships): The faculty encourages and trains students to work on their part to understand and learn the subject by giving application-based assignments. All the faculty members are just an email away. They give their appointments to students in need and help to understand students' POV as well. The faculty are a mixture from different parts of the world with diversity from Europe, Asian, and the UK.

The curriculum is well defined and the faculty are very helpful.
Tips: One of the key reasons I joined this university is because it's the cheapest Russell Group university, and the cost of living in Belfast is comparatively low compared to other cities. Belfast is a small city, and the university has scholarship programs, but they won't affect you. The course structure is well-defined, and the professors are very helpful, but you will struggle to get marks from them. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my experiences.
Likes (Part time work): You can get part-time work both on and off campus especially around Christmas. It may be a bit of a struggle at first, but there are plenty of part-time options available, so don't stress about finding a job. If you budget wisely, you can cover most of your expenses and even save some money.
Dislikes (Value for money): As an international student from India the high tuition and living costs at Queen's University Belfast can be a financial burden. The scholarship you receive won't be enough to offset the cost of living especially for housing and accommodation.

Wonderful city and university of love in with multiple opportunities to take on.
Tips: There is going to be a cultural shift academically as well as in general. Coming from a small town I have seen a lot of cultural socks here in my first month. I received a scholarship of 6000 pounds from QUB. It was based on my SOP. I am very satisfied with all of these factors, the university is amazing, the people are very helpful and generous, and the course is on point with my preference. Overall, I am quite satisfied with the course, country and university.
Likes (Part time work): Belfast is a comparatively small town but has a lot of part-time role opportunities across all domains. On-campus roles are pretty hard to accomplish as a lot of people apply for them at once. It sometimes gets hard to manage your day with part-time and lectures. It's right down to the minimum wage.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Due to competition from other applicants, it is pretty hard to land a job of your interest. However, if you start early at applying to internships and placement while semesters are running you can get an upper hand on them. LinkedIn is also a very nice tool to make new connections that will help you land a role. All kinds of marketing roles are available starting from approximately. 18000-30000 year.

This place will help you transform to a stronger version.
Tips: After joining the college there will be huge cultural shift and cultural shocks. Develop a mindset to embrace the culture open heartedly. There will be a scholarship depending on your merit and they deduct it from total fees. I am partially satisfied with university, course, and country. Because the course was not entirely taught as promised for non technical students and they expected us to learn by ourselves and complete the course. This was a huge blow to non technical students.
Likes (Part time work): There are plenty of part time jobs on campus and around the campus. It's hard to manage studies and jobs at the same time but increases time management skills. Basic pay for all jobs. You need to manage the time schedules for job and academic works. If you are unable to manage, there are support systems to help you complete academic work from university.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Due to change of rules, there is almost no chance of getting permanent settlement. An international student is given only a last priority. It is absolutely tough to compete with the native here for job hunting. If given a chance, I would definitely opt for permanent settlement.

A value for money university but the journey will be challenging.
Tips: Try to get to know about the weather. About the nearby places of university. Apply for all the scholarships which you are eligible for. Try to connect with your alumni. Acceptance of new changes both good and bad is a good skill to have. Be ready for challenges since life abroad is not what you see on social media.
Likes (Value for money): QUB offers high range of scholarships which makes the course fee more affordable and value for money. Fees compared to other universities in mainland UK, QUB offer very competitive and good fees. Also, payment options are flexible and offer more discounts if you pay in full in advance .
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): A permanent settlement takes 5 years in the UK. To reach that you need to find a sponsorship job which will help you to stay in for longer terms. Also rules by the UK home office change very often so bit uncertain to predict the future. But again not impossible to get a PR.

A course in QUB is a real time challenge and if you are really passionate about the subject.
Tips: I did get a real good experience out of my degree, not only academically but I did grow a lot in the real world understanding the job prospects and real-world skill set. I did get a scholarship based on my undergrad score in India at the time in 2020 but unsure today how the scholarships are awarded. I loved this large university in a small country.
Likes (Safety): Crime rate is the lowest and you feel safe to walk at any place even if it is dark and isolated in a remote area because the response rate for emergency services is really quick. I had an instance where police had to issue a fine to us as we broke a Covid house restriction but that's a pretty small fine though.
Dislikes (Indian Food): We don't find many Indian/Bangladeshi/Pakistani Restaurants in Belfast compared to other cities in the UK or Ireland as Northern Ireland has transportation challenges, I did cook mostly on my own. An average Indian dinner would cost an individual nearly 315-320.

Tips: Be ready to take on any opportunities that come. Be sure to study well, as it is not that hard to pass unless you put in the required effort. And also make sure to have fun too as the city has a lot of things to offer. The college also has a lot of programmes that are beneficial to students, so make sure to check them out.
Likes (Value for money): University has nice affiliation and the modules are relevant and well thought. All professors are well educated and helpful. The course also has a lot of assignments that are relevant to the job market and various subject expertise, but scoring in assignments also depends on the professor and his views.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): You have a chance to get PSW after you study for 2 more years. I wouldn't personally immigrate here but it does offer scope if you want to. Leaving your comfort zone, yet finding comfort.
Tips: After taking admission in QUB, I haven’t had any problem and being in Belfast is the best kickstart for any student to start their new journey in the UK, as everything comes around to your budget. The professors interact with the students very well and they do not hesitate to clear the doubts. The college lectures are all offline but you do get study material online and research papers that help us in our assignment and exam preparation. There is a 3 floor library and a Riddel hall where you can do group study by booking the room. A graduate school is there as well which is beautiful and peaceful to study alone. The university has a sports centre including sports like private classes for yoga, aqua jogging, Pilates or dance, swimming, badminton, gym, rock climbing and much more. The university offers various clubs to join such as Tai Jutsu, badminton club, caving club, skydiving club, dance club for especially for south Asian students, etc. After completing the course, Queens has their app called ‘Simplicity’ where you can see which companies are hiring and there are graduate programs as well. Internships are also available which you can do only after you are done with your graduation, since it requires 40 hours of work every week and as a student, we are allowed only 20 hours. The Queen’s itself has cafes and student’s union where you can work part-time. QUB also comes under the Russell Group which is great for your CV. As a student, everyone faces some or the other problem, but you have professors to give you advice and the university also offers support for the student’s well-being. I realize that I took the right decision to choose QUB and I would recommend it to others as well but also, an honest suggestion would be getting into QUB in the September intake is preferable than the January intake.

Tips: Get ready to take up academics seriously with the programs offered to be research intensive in terms of assignments and exams. Engaging in several university clubs and events will provide ample exposure to leadership and is also fun. Learn a thing or two about Irish culture.
Likes (Internships): Belfast is a booming city with a lot of upcoming business opportunities. Local companies hire interns and part time employees. Plenty of summer internships are available with decent pay. Regular effort in applying for internships is required to reach out to employers but the hiring process is fair and square.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There are limited options for Indian cuisine and can often be pricey. Having local food is quite feasible. Good university, very cheap living cost and good for IT students
Tips: The university is very friendly with people and you can have many different clubs to join. From all other universities in UK, this is the cheapest with living rates. There is a variety of different food options however the city isn't as lively as London or Dublin so just make sure you know it'll get a bit quiet at times.
Likes (Indian Food): There are many Indian restaurants around here, like at least 4 at minimum. You can easily order food from delivery or visit them. Also, there are pretty decent Indian shops around where you can buy all the items from India, all original. They're pretty good and you can find almost anything you need.

Tips: As it is a cybersecurity degree, knowledge of ethical hacking or industry experience will help a lot to grasp the study material. While doing the degree, you can also pursue certificates like Splunk, CEH, CompTIA etc as they will help you in the recruitment process.
Likes (Safety): When we joined the course, the structure of the classes was okay. In a month, the first week was reading week, the next was the classes, and the exam was on the last day. The third and fourth week was reserved for the coursework. After our batch, the structure was changed which made the course more efficient. You have to help yourself and study very hard as the exam pattern is very different from that of India.
Dislikes (Value for money): The faculty had a lot of credibilities. They helped us whenever we had any doubts. The course content was also good and explained thoroughly.
