LLM (Master of Laws) - Batch of 2026
4.4
Good for personal growth.
Tips: Know what you want to do. Start applying early on. Get your application right. It’s not that easy to get admission here. Once you come here you’ll be overwhelmed by the sheer vastness of the city and the uni, but do not let it intimidate you. Strive to do your best and aim to work here after graduation, so that it’s all worth it.
Likes (Student Life): From classes to pubs to society activities, it’s all great. You get to explore central London, which has a rustic yet modern feel to it. The east campus is in Canary Wharf, the business district, so that you get the corporate feel. The faculty is one of the best in the world, ranking is good, academically oriented and produces future assets, i.e., the graduates.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Chances are low because of the new and stricter immigration rules. Since the new rules introduced in July 2025 made it more difficult for companies to sponsor visas for jobs, it’s gonna be very hard to secure a permanent role after graduation. But you still have to try.

An adventurous year in London and UCL.
Tips: UCL is a highly competitive university, and one has to work twice as hard to score well in comparison to an Indian university. Also, there are 3 terms in a year - this means that classes will be held in the first 2 terms, and the last term is for exams/final assessment and research essay. UCL is also strict about the usage of AI or ChatGPT for assignments.
Likes (Quality of faculty): UCL is one of the oldest institutions in the UK, so all the professors are highly educated and accomplished in their fields. In the law faculty, I have seen the Law Commission as a professor; the lawyer of the Queen is also a professor. So, you don't have to worry about the quality of education here as it will be world-class, and the employers recognise this institute and give preference to the UCL students.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): I don't know much about the permanent settlement or immigration information in the UK, as I am a current student at UCL and I don't wish to apply for the same, but I hope that whoever wishes to apply for it does not get disappointed about the same. But the facilities here are easy to use, and people are quite friendly, so you can get more information after reaching London.

My college has been a transformative experience so far, shaping both academic and career growth.
Tips: My transition was particularly from Mumbai to London, so I didn't really have problem adjusting to the fast paced life here. I did get an internal scholarship of 50 percent, your SOP is very critical for that. The university offers multiple modules to choose from. It is ranked as one of the top most universities in the world and it couldn't get better than that.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty is way more approachable and helpful. You can always visit them during office hours or drop an email. The course is content heavy and mostly your understanding of the class depends on how well you have completed the readings that were offered to you prior. Solicitors and barristers from around the world are teaching the course and UCL has a big alumni base.
Dislikes (Safety): The campus is around Central London and not the Gate. There have been instances of theft. The campus security is top notch but they themselves can't do a lot about the outside situation. One has to be careful walking in these areas. Also, avoid travelling alone initially.

Avoid studying in high ranked universities in places like London
Tips: Avoid coming to the United Kingdom or London, there is a housing and eco-crisis going on currently, opportunities are very limited. Go to places like the Netherlands or Germany instead. There are hardly opportunities for everyone. There is no global exposure also, UK is filled with Indians.
Dislikes (Value for money): Definitely not a value for money, professors arena like the Indians ones, everything needs to be done on our own! Engagement opportunities are minimal, it's just restricted to two floors. Lack of practical exposure and you still get tested based on examinations.

Excellent master's programme, with a strong quantitative bent.
Tips: The programme is very intense and students spend at least 60-70 hours per week on the programme. It is an excellent programme that will benefit students for many years to come. Obtaining a scholarship can greatly help in managing expenses. Nevertheless, I find such a programme a good investment as it will benefit students in diverse career trajectories throughout their careers.

UCL – A world-class experience in the heart of London.
Tips: If you're looking for world-class education, unforgettable experiences, and career-ready skills, you've come to the right place. UCL is the launching pad for success in London. Beyond academics, extracurricular activities thrive here. There are more than 200 student societies, including the Afghan Society, AIESEC, and Amateur Boxing Club. With the variety of activities available here, there is something for everyone. Cultural fests, hackathons, and guest lectures keep campus life vibrant, so you will always have something to do outside of class.
Likes (Safety): UCL has strong industry ties, and its career support helps students land roles at top firms worldwide. In addition, the fact that the university is situated in London opens doors to a wealth of networking opportunities with startups, multinationals, and research institutions. In terms of facilities, the campus infrastructure is phenomenal, with top-notch offerings across the board. It's a place that makes the most of the space, from the historic Bloomsbury campus to the cutting-edge UCL East at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The libraries, labs, and collaborative workspaces provide an environment that encourages innovation, while the brand-new Marshgate building provides top-of-the-line labs for students in fields such as engineering and robotics.
Dislikes (Quality of faculty): Studying at University College London (UCL) has been an incredible journey! The faculty here is truly supportive. Professors are not just experts in their fields but also approachable mentors who encourage critical thinking and hands-on learning. Whether it's through office hours or interactive lectures, they make sure students grasp complex concepts with ease.

UCL demands academic rigor, fosters global opportunities, diverse culture, with high London costs.
Tips: Before joining UCL, students should know that UCL demands high academic rigour, a global reputation, and a diverse, international community. Located in central London, living costs are high, and independent learning is key. UCL also offers many extracurricular and career opportunities frequently and I advise the students to participate in it and try to build connections as it will significantly help for professional growth. Overall, I am satisfied with the course, university and the country.

The tuition fee is highly inflated, even after scholarships and voluntary work discounts.
Tips: One of the cultural shifts that I encountered here in Berlin was how diverse and different people are here. No one is looking at you, it's almost as if you are invisible to them, which is good and maybe weird at its own angle. Besides that, the transitioning was difficult because I came at a very young age with no support, but it was easier if you had somebody that could navigate you through the bureaucracy. For scholarships, I just had good grades from my exams in high school.
Likes (Public transportation): The public transport is very reliable, working and operating almost 24/7. It is very connected and can take you anywhere and everywhere. Despite some frequent strikes, there is always a way home you can get them for a price or 58 per month for the whole of Germany. There are four types of public transport U-Bahn - underground train S-Bahn - like metro, trams- on road trains, and buses.
Dislikes (Value for money): The tuition fee for the university is highly inflated, even after scholarships and voluntary work discounts. I have had my fee cut down from 6000 to 3000, whilst some even pay higher sometimes, not to mention having to pay even after 4th semester where you don't equip anything from university for most of the time.

The university is for visa and not for studies.
Tips: The teaching is subpar, and the university charges a lot of fees. It doesn't make sense that we have to find our own internships and still pay fees even if we are not attending classes. The university showed us how to find an internship, but they didn't help us find one. I had to search outside the country because no internships were available during the mandatory semester. Some professors are not professionals and have no experience. They are students who graduated with a master's degree from the same university. I would not recommend this university if you are serious about your studies.
Likes (Indian Food): I like living in this city because all the raw materials are available, so it's easy to cook at home. There are restaurants from every country, but eating out is expensive. Cooking at home is much cheaper. You can cook two days' worth of meals for the price of one meal at a restaurant.

University of Europe for Applied Sciences is academically oriented and fun.
Tips: There were multiple cultural shifts. If you leave your own country and decide to study abroad, there will be multiple changes and transitions that a person will go through. Academically speaking the studies have a practical approach to it, and you address your professors with their first names and have a rapport with them that I never had with my professors back in India. I did avail of a scholarship which gave me 3000 off. I am completely satisfied with the experience at the university, course as well as the country. Apart from the fact that it gets too cold and too tedious to manage everything at times.
Likes (Value for money): I have always wanted a practical approach to the study which is exactly what my university offered. We had so many excursions to so many different types of companies. We also got a chance to visit the Audit showroom and be the salesperson. One of the most amazing excursions was the one at Mampe company in which we were invited for the influencer event, and to set up the entire mood for the event.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Due to the recession that is going the availability of jobs in particular desired fields is comparatively lower. If you are looking for jobs after your Masters degree, the packages usually start from 35,000 to 50,000 annually. As long as a student gets a good opening after his education, it's all set.

Well, this university is good for those students who want to grow well in different sectors.
Tips: This university is very much different from other universities in Berlin like the study structure and exams are in different way. Moreover, in terms of fees, this university is strict but it provides scholarships to students on the basis of their grades.
Likes (Public transportation): Berlin is very much developed state in Germany. There are a number of transportation vehicles available such as U Bahn, S Bahn, Tram, Bus, Re, ICE etc. University is located in the central part of Berlin so it is quite easy for students to travel from any district.
Dislikes (Internships): University of Europe for applied Science is providing quality of guidance to students in highly reputed universities and organisations to get exposure for better career opportunities. As well as, some companies recruit students in their organisation.

Great university to study in.
Tips: They offer scholarships like fee deductions to every student. The city is quite pretty to study in. I am quite satisfied with my course, great professors, well-qualified, good curriculum and a chill environment to study in. It would take you quite some time to get accustomed to the language and culture but will blend in pretty quickly after a while.

No spoon feeding, leave comfort zone and start chasing your dream
Tips: Make sure you are not in a habit of spoon-feeding. Because like the system in India, there is no spoon-feeding over here. You need to fight this battle alone and trust me it shall shape you better. Leaving the comfort zone is the biggest chance that life gives you to fight this war, become self-dependent and make your life a dream life.
Likes (Permanent Immigration): Germany is always been a very good country to settle down permanently. This is because of low competition and among Canada, US or UK the cheapest one is Germany hence a better option. It is good for Marketing and IT industries. Also, the salary is paid in Euros which is the second largest currency after pound. So for Indian students, it is a better option.
Dislikes (Part time work): While student life is growing over here, it becomes a little challenging for a student to get part-time job. As they don't know the German language. So I would recommend that always keep practising the language and make sure once you arrive here you know at least B2 level so that you can get a job easily.

College with knowledge and fun
Tips: Before joining the university in which I am currently studying, I would like to inform students that the fee is too high. So if you want to save money try to first get into a public university and if you don't get admission to a public university try for a private university.
Likes (Student Life): The student life I have experienced back in my home country and if I compare that to the life which I am living here in Hamburg, then I would say it is much better here. We have lots of responsibilities and working with responsibilities has always fascinated me.
Dislikes (Value for money): I find the faculty we have got at our university is highly qualified and have a huge experience in their respective field of work. Studying from such experienced faculty is always a good deal when we learn from live examples which they implemented during their work.

Worst college. Not Supportive. High fee compared to other university.
Tips: The fees of this college are very high compared to BSBI. They give admission easily as they want to earn money, and they give admission in management. This university finance department is the worst.
They do not even help students for getting part-time jobs.
Also not help in accomodation. But time of giving admission the consellar told college will help you in everything. But after getting admission and reach there, they keep their hands up.
Concellar and finance department take their review 5 out of 5 , at that time only. But after getting admission we come to know how worst service they give.
Lots of student change college after getting admission also. I face everything as i was a student of that college. I also saw other student in that college.Nobody happy. I request dont take admission in this kind of university.
