PTE Exam Centers 2026: City-wise PTE Test Centres across India

There are 62 PTE exam centres in India, and each one of them is available for slot bookings throughout the year. The PTE exam dates 2026 vary from centre to centre. Students must search for available seats on the Pearson PTE Vue website.

For the comfort and safety of each test taker, Pearson PLC Group allows only 10-15 test takers per slot at a centre. Candidates are reminded to choose the PTE test centre that is nearest to their place of residence. We have curated a list of tried and tested tips by gathering feedback from students and experts - to help you to choose the right PTE test centre. These are- 

1. Choose a test centre that is close to either your home or office. The centre should also have good transportation connectivity and good parking facilities - which will save your time in finding a free parking slot. 
2. Some centres have multiple time slots available on a daily basis including the weekends. To avoid any last-minute changes in exam centre timings from Pearson - choose centres that are more popular and have multiple time windows available for the test. 
3. Try to get in touch with past test takers and ask them about their experience at their chosen PTE exam centre. For eg.- some PTE test centres in Bangalore and Mumbai are known for their minimal waiting time, quiet exam halls and utmost professional behaviour of staff.

As part of its commitment to promote equal access and inclusion for all its test takers, Pearson keeps reviewing and expanding the special accommodations available for disabled/specially-abled test takers.    

The special accommodations currently available at different PTE test centres, which abide by all the disability laws, are given below.

Medical Evidence Required for Requesting Special Accommodation in PTE

For applying to certain types of special accommodations like a separate room, extra time and taking a break, you would need to submit the most recent letter or certificate from a licensed medical practitioner issued when you were 12 years or older. The certificate should contain the following details at the time of submission- 

1. the name, title, credentials and details of practice of the medical practitioner on a dated letterhead - which must also be signed/stamped by the medical practitioner
2. It should demonstrate that you have a long-term illness/disability that doesn't allow you to take the test under normal testing conditions. 
3. If your condition required a medical test for its diagnosis, attach the report from that test too, which confirmed your condition.
4. The medical certificate should be issued in the English language. If it's in another language, you must get it translated into English through a professional translator, the professional qualification of whom should also be enclosed with the letter. 

For maximum ease and comfort of the test takers, Pearson follows a set of rules and policies that must be adhered to by all test takers. Here are the things that you can expect on reaching the PTE test centre (or the PTE test centre rules and policies) - 

1. All test takers must arrive at the test centre at least 30 minutes before the testing time. They are required to sign in at the reception to mark their attendance for the test. Test takers must also sign the test-taker's agreement at this time. Students coming later than this will not be allowed to enter the test centre premises and will be returned. They will also not get a refund for their PTE Exam booking fees. 
2. The administrator at your test centre will record your signature and palm vein scan, alongside verifying your ID. Your electronic signature will be considered legally acceptable for the agreement.  
3. All test takers must store their belongings in storage lockers, which they will be able to access only after the completion of the test
4. Any misconduct or malpractice may bar applicants from taking the test, even in future, or may even be liable for a legal action on the test taker. Not just that, the PTE Exam scores will also be revoked of such test takers.

The PTE test results get delivered within just two days of taking the exam. Make sure you check the PTE exam cut-off for your university properly to leave no room for less scores during your preparation. 

The following is the list of documents and resources that you must carry with you to the PTE exam centre on the test day.

1. Your ID: Pearson recommends you carry your valid passport for identification purposes at the entry to the exam centre. With your ID document, you won't be allowed to enter the test centre. However, if you do not have a passport due to some unforeseen reasons, you can bring an alternate ID; you can check the information on which other IDs are allowed at the PTE test centre on the PTE Slot Booking page. Enter the same name for your exam registration as is there on your passport.  
2. Exam Receipt/Booking Confirmation Email: Although this is not required, but carrying a printout of the exam slot confirmation email may help you to go through the check-in process seamlessly.
3. Stationery / Scratchpad & Pen Provided- The authorities at the PTE test centre give you containers (with an erasable notepad, pen, and headphones). You don’t need to bring your own.
4. Your Belongings- You can bring light snacks such as - fruits, dry fruits and sandwiches to eat before your exam. While you can bring your bag and documents other than your ID at the exam centre, you will be asked to store all your belongings, including personal items such as phone, wallets, watches, bags, etc. in the lockers before entering the exam hall.

Documents Required at PTE Test Centres in 2026

Only a passport is an acceptable form of identity document at a PTE test centre. No other ID document is accepted by the exam authorities at the authorised Pearson Test Centres. If you go to the centre with another kind of ID proof, you might not be allowed into the exam hal and you'll not even get the refund for your PTE exam fees.   

If you do not have a passport yet and need to present another form of government ID, then you must write an email for the same in advance to Pearson. If you get permission to use your other ID document (the one mentioned in the mail) then the same will be conveyed to the authorities at exakm centre and you'll be allowed entry in that case as an exception.
