1. Australia 

Australia is the most prominent country accepting PTE Academic alongside being one of the top destinations for Indian students and skilled migrants. PTE Academic in Australia is accepted by - 

• TAFE institutes, vocational education bodies and all universities in Australia, including the University of Melbourne, University of Sydney, UNSW, Monash University, ANU and more
• Department of Home Affairs of Australia for student visa, skilled worker visa, partner visa and permanent residency applications

It is to be noted that the minimum required PTE Academic scores vary by visa, institution and course type. For a Student Visa, i.e. Subclass 500 Visa Australia, a score of 50+ is commonly required; while Skilled visas may require 65+ scores.  

2. UK

The UK accepts PTE Academic for university admissions and visa applications both. This exam is on the Home Office's list of Secure English Language Tests (SELT) for visa purposes. Hence, students remain on an advantage in a way that they don’t need to take two tests for universities and visa applications separately. PTE Academic Exam is generally accepted by the top UK universities like University of Oxford, University of Edinburgh, University of Manchester, King's College London and UCL. The PTE Academic Exam is accepted by all the universities and also the Department of Justice, Home Affairs and Migration for the applications to the Irish student visa. How Indian Students Can Register for PTE Academic

The process of registering for PTE Academic Exam in India is straightforward. Her are the steps to register for the PTE exam - 

• Visit the official Pearson My PTE website at https://mypte.pearsonpte.com/
• Create a free account and complete your profile
• Select a test centre in India available in cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Kolkata, and more
• Choose your preferred test date and time slot
• Pay the test fee ₹18,000 for Indian students
• Receive confirmation and prepare for the test

You would be required to carry a valid government-issued photo ID, generally your valid passport, on the day of the test. Aadhar card alone is not accepted. But if you don’t have a passport, you can check with Pearson for the accepted alternate ID allowed for your test centre.
