Shiksha DHL Express FAQs
Q. What do I need to know before I prepare my package?
All your documents and smaller envelopes should be put inside a bigger envelope of up to A4 size. Do not self-seal the bigger envelope as the DHL pickup staff can ask for it to be opened for security check. In such a case please co-operate and let them seal the envelope. However, university sealed transcripts or Letters of Recommendation envelopes should not be opened, as they lose their validity if tampered with. If the staff insists on opening them, please report it to the DHL customer care. Also, please mention both the receiver's and sender's on the envelope to ensure a safe delivery.
Q. Can I cancel or reschedule pick-up of my package online?
Currently, online cancellations and modifications are not allowed. However, you can do so by calling the DHL customer care on 1800-111-345.
Please note, for any questions related to pickup, you will have to quote your pickup ID, which will be shared with you after completion of your order. For any questions related to shipment or delivery, you will have to quote your AWB number.
Q. Can I use this service for sending my documents to WES/EP/other academic evaluation services?
Yes, you can. Since the evaluation services are a part of the study abroad application process, they are included. Please note that using this service for personal purposes is not permitted.
Q. What is maximum allowed weight of the package?
You can send a package weighing up to 2 kgs. There are 4 weight options you can choose from 0.5 kg, 1 kg, 1.5 kgs and 2 kgs. In some cases, the number of documents is more, like design or architecture courses where you have to submit portfolios. In most cases, the weight is usually less than 0.5 kg so it is the most commonly chosen option.
Q. What is the price for sending of documents to different countries?
You need to enter destination country, postal code and the weight of the package to get a cost estimate. The prices differ based on these three inputs. The base prices for popular countries like the US, Canada, and the UK are mentioned on the main page, but the final price will vary depending on your package and it will be displayed before you confirm the order.
