Montreal is a student city and is very diverse.
Tips: Quebec is a French speaking province, while the classes are in English and most people speak English as well, you should expect French based systems everywhere. Montreal is a student city and is very diverse, so networking won't ever be a problem. HEC is a super fun school, there are networking events and multiple student organised parties.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): The market plummeted in 2024 and with French being the primary language in Quebec, getting a job was tough. Students usually change provinces after their graduation. If you intern at a company, you have a good chance of converting that into a full time job, but that is not always the case.

Strong student community.
Tips: Coming here has given me a lot of growth, independence and perspective. There have been ups and down but university life has a way of making one capable enough to get through them. My biggest concern has been employment opportunities here which have been on a decline other wise, the student friendliness and positive environment here have been more than I expected. Would say I am satisfied.
