Tips: I think it’s a decent university in Ireland with good facilities and good faculty. The city is really good. The university is located in the central part of the city which makes it accessible as well. There are lots of growth opportunities as well. Good experiences.

Ireland is good now but wouldn’t be in the future. It’s a country smaller than Madhya Pradesh.
Tips: It’s not Dublin, so better to go to Dublin universities if coming to Ireland and also try going to the USA or other countries, as Ireland will be crowded soon. There was a cultural shift and many people hate the climate and transport. People are extremely nice and friendly. I missed out on scholarships but people usually get them when they apply in advance. I am somewhat satisfied but my goal has not been achieved yet.
Likes (Safety): It’s pretty safe but some people have had some bad incidents, depending on the place and area you live in. I think campus safety is the only security provided to the students and the local police are good but they don’t have all the resources to protect the students outside the campus premises. I had mostly good experiences but there were some threats given to me during my stay in Ireland so far.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Ireland is a small country and it’s being flooded, counsellors and agents are promoting Ireland like an alternative to the USA but it isn’t and it isn’t a Schengen country as well. I’ll suggest going to the Netherlands for a safer alternative or Germany. I’d love to permanently immigrate to this country but it’s looking hard to do so at this point.

A lot of self-learning, networking and personal growth.
Tips: The personal growth that the students would experience after joining the college is huge. Learning to do things on your own and handling your own finance and everything basically makes you grow a lot. This is more personal than academic. Academically as well, it is more of a self-learning than the teachers teaching you. There is a lot to learn by ourselves, do personal projects which are all going to determined whether you're going to find a job or not. I would advice that every student do thorough research before joining any university. Go through the syllabus and make sure that the contents are what you can learn with some effort. Also prepare in advance and learn the basics of what you are going to be learning at the university. Connect with your alumni and ask them for advice on how to navigate the course how to do projects and what they have done to achieve success.
Likes (Public transportation): There is free transportation within the campus for students. Other than that, there is bus service almost everywhere within the city and students have a special concession for their transport. There is a NFT card that you can top-up and tap in the bus which allows you to travel.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): There is currently a huge competition, especially in the field of IT. If a student has prior experience, it would be easier to find a job that offers a visa. For graduates, the expected average salary would be around 35k EUR annually and it goes higher depending on the experience.

Beautiful country, kind people, great opportunities and an amazing education system.
Tips: The transition has been smooth and welcoming, with a culture that feels familiar, kind people, and a lot of festivals, though the rain and cold took a little time to adjust to. The teaching is excellent and the environment is supportive. Scholarships are available across many programs, so it is worth applying early since they can reduce fees and sometimes include a small monthly stipend. Do sort out accommodation before you arrive because housing is tight. Clothes are affordable thanks to the steady weather, but electronics are expensive, so bring essentials from India. Part time work helps with living cost, so start looking as soon as you land, begin your PPSN application and complete your online residence permit. Campus roles like teaching assistant, library, or student ambassador are great option, and retail or Delhi jobs also pay decently while you study.
Likes (Post study jobs): I landed a research Data Scientist role after my Masters and many friends did well too, so its very possible to bag a nice paying job with Visa sponsorship. The number of companies sponsor visas changes, but there are plenty, especially among those with solid graduate intake. Typical roles range from graduate programs to mid and senior positions, and salaries are competitive and grow with the strength of your portfolio, communication and technical depth. If you put in consistent, focused effort, you can absolutely grab a great opportunity. Jobs in different sectors have different pay scales, but graduate roles usually play around 40k per annum, mid level play around 50-70k depending on the sector and experience, and senior level can go above 70k on average.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Adjusting to food anywhere else is always a challenge, and Galway has relatively less choices for authentic North Indian cuisine. Restaurants like Kumar's, Kashmir and Eastern Tandoori provide some variety, but they can't match the flavour like that of home. I usually prefer cooking at home, buying groceries and masalas from asian stores, though they are quite expensive.

Pretty nice country for short term international exposure. Don’t think about settlement.
Tips: Be prepared to manage everything independently. The weather can be harsh, so bring suitable clothing. Obtain an Indian driving license and purchase a car as soon as possible for convenience. None of the people I met received any scholarships. The university was great, the course was decent, and the country is nice, especially if you live in Galway city.
Likes (Safety): The 5-star rating is based on the previous year, and I doubt it will remain the same in the coming years. Many immigrants are being attacked these days. While most cases still occur in Dublin, Galway is a safer option. However, the majority of jobs are in Dublin, and the conditions there for brown immigrants are far from ideal. People in Galway city are generally nice, friendly, and warm. However, incidents of teenagers attacking or harassing people after sunset are increasing and cause concern.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Most companies won't hire freshers or those with less than 3-5 years of experience at a major MNC from their home country. Job roles are also often one or two levels lower; for example, a manager from India might only get an assistant manager or senior associate position. Regarding visas, over 90% of companies reject candidates solely based on visa status, and even those who hire may not assist in renewal upon expiry, opting for a more convenient candidate instead.

Uni of Galway is a research led university with a strong multicultural base.
Tips: I found the Irish to be warm and welcoming, making my transition very smooth. I have a scholarship that provides a monthly stipend exceeding my expenses, allowing me to save a good amount. I am pursuing a 4-year structured Ph.D. with a dedicated budget of 250k euros over the course of the four years. This includes tuition waivers and a stipend. I am very satisfied with the University of Galway and its faculty, and I love Ireland.
Likes (Safety): Galway is a very safe city. You can be out and about late at night and feel safe, regardless of your gender. I've had all good experiences. There's a dedicated "call a friend" scheme where you can call a friend to walk you home if you feel unsafe. Otherwise, I've walked home at 1 am from campus several times and, thankfully, never felt unsafe. To ensure student safety, we have a dedicated medical clinic on campus, free for students. So, in case of accidents or emergencies, you can walk in without an appointment and be seen by a GP, who can then make a referral to A/E if needed.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): The chances of securing a Critical Skills Work Permit have been steadily declining, based on my observations and what I've heard. This isn't specific to any background but reflects the cooling Irish job market. I know people from two years ago who haven't secured sponsorships through this visa route. However, those with backgrounds in niche domains, such as AI engineers or logistics professionals, may have a better chance and could potentially gain permanent settlement after a Stamp 4 visa, roughly within four years. I would like to make Ireland my home permanently, given the opportunity.

College and city is great but getting part time is a challenge.
Tips: Be prepared for harsh winters and a challenging housing search. While the people are friendly public transport is subpar. Note that there are no scholarships for the Pathway B course. The course itself is good, and the professors are excellent and supportive. The assignments are engaging and enjoyable.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Professors are knowledgeable experienced and very helpful. The modules are well organised and the continuous assignments are beneficial. Activities like group assignments debate competitions summer schools and outings have helped engage students and foster teamwork and public speaking skills.
Dislikes (Part time work): Finding a part-time job was very difficult. It took me three months to secure one. It seems online applications are often rejected without explanation. I also applied for part-time roles related to my studies but never received any callbacks. Summer offers some opportunities finding work in the winter is extremely challenging.

Tips: The university's ranking is great. The campus is very beautiful and huge compared to other schools and colleges. Professors are knowledgeable and friendly. Plenty of sports clubs and societies are available. On-campus accommodation is nice, but getting selected in the lottery is hard.
Dislikes (Part time work): Almost no on-campus part-time jobs exist. Off-campus opportunities are also very limited. It took me over three months to find a part-time job in Galway. Online applications are ineffective as they are rejected immediately, which may be due to racism. Overall, it is very difficult to find part-time work.

A globally recognized university with industry focused education and strong career support.
Tips: Students planning to join NUIG should know that the curriculum is rigorous and industry-relevant, especially STEM courses like biopharma and cell therapy. After arriving in Ireland, I did experience a cultural shock - people are very polite, time-conscious and value personal space. I did not avail of any scholarship personally, but several merit-based scholarships are offered by the Irish government.
Likes (Permanent Immigration): Ireland provides one of the most transparent and supportive pathways for international students to settle permanently. After graduation, you can get a stamp 1G visa, which offers a 2-year post-study work period, which gives you ample time to secure a full-time job. Once you hold a valid work permit and complete 5 years of legal residence, you become eligible for step 4, which gives you residence rights. Given a chance, I would absolutely like to permanently immigrate to Ireland.
Dislikes (Public transportation): NUIG is centrally located, so it’s easy to walk or bike rather than rely on buses. Although Galway is compact and student friendly, the limited transport network and consistent schedules make it less convenient for daily computing beyond city center.

A top Irish university for sustainability and student life.
Tips: Yes, everyone moving to a different country with a different culture will always have that shift/shock. There are a few scholarships, but they are tough to secure. It is the top university in all of Ireland for sustainability and the best in extracurricular activities. Guidance is limited, and most of them are self-sourced. Finding an internship for people with experience is a bit of hard luck, and most of them are unpaid. If your course helps you fetch an internship, it's great or try finding a job as it is the best option. The professors are highly qualified, supportive and easily approachable. The teaching blends theory with real-world cases, and the sessions are highly interactive. The department is also diverse, with faculty members from different nations and industry backgrounds available.

Life in university of Galway: Blend of fun, culture & academics.
Tips: One thing I enjoy the most will surely be the Huge Riverside Campus. It's so serene and peaceful. Taking a break from lectures, and sitting by the river, sipping my favourite coffee. That's how my usual day goes by. There will always be enough space to explore. There are a lot of cosy study spaces just in case you don't have the quiet environment to study at home. The library is huge! Dream come true for bookworms. There are tons of active societies & clubs for every interest from: art to tech & everything, sports from swimming to archery. You'll enjoy the college life if you missed out during COVID, like me, 2020 batch. Also, there's a student bar on campus. The campus is lively with different events, hackathons, workshops, DJ nights & much, and more. The Indian society will always be there to arrange host festivals so you don't feel homesick.
Likes (Student Life): What I've enjoyed most here is the huge riverside campus. Taking a break from lectures and sitting by the river, sipping my favourite coffee: that's how my days usually go. There's plenty of space to explore. There are a lot of cozy places to study if I don't have the space to do so at home. There's a giant library! It's a bookworm's dream come true. Plus, there are tons of clubs and societies for every interest: art, teaching, sports from swimming to archery, and more. If you were a 2020 grad like me and felt like you missed out on college life because of COVID, you'll find it enjoyable here. The campus is lively with events, hackathons, workshops, DJ nights, and more. The Indian Society is always there to host festivals, which makes it less easy for me to feel homesick.
Dislikes (Indian Food): One thing you will miss the most is food. Especially if you are a vegetarian, it's gonna be tough. There are very limited veg options, especially Indian food options, in cities like Galway. However, there are Indian restaurants like Kashmir, Tulsi, Spice India, etc. The variety is restricted, and food can be quite expensive for regular student budgets. Most of the dishes are adjusted to suit a more Western taste palate, so they don't really feel authentic. I prefer to cook at home if I want to have Indian food.

Just use fewer words, no plagiarism, no cheating, and use your own words to express your thoughts. That is all it takes to win and get a good score. It's a safe city and country in general. I haven't had any bad experiences so far.

It’s a good college. Close to nature and beautiful to experience the Irish cultural.
Tips: There are many cultures in Ireland. You can experience the Irish culture and enjoy it. I got a scholarship for my course. They give out scholarships based on the marks from your previous studies. Depending on your marks, there are two types of scholarships. Ireland is the safest country in the world for students. I feel safe everywhere, inside and outside the campus, in the city, and even on public transportation. There are cameras everywhere, so the country is very secure. I really like that I don't have to worry about my safety. Even if I'm out alone at midnight, I feel completely secure. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my experiences.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Many students get jobs after graduation. There are more job opportunities in business fields like accounting and management as well as medical and hospital jobs. We can get jobs in the engineering field as well. What I don't know is whether we will be sponsored to stay in the country if we get an offer. I know the visa only lasts for two years.

Tips: Transitioning here has been a significant experience and I have definitely experienced a cultural shift here. People have different accents here. Scholarships are available, so definitely apply for them. The course is good, but it moves very fast, so come prepared with the basics of all the subjects. Join different communities to get more exposure. Companies usually don't hire interns because the course is only one year long. You're busy with classes and part-time work. I'd definitely apply for internships, but I'm more likely to get one after I finish the course because I can only work 20 hours while enrolled. Overall, I am satisfied wth my experiences.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transportation is very good in Ireland. Buses are on time and cheap. The availability of transportation is also very good. The roads are built well. You have to get a student card from the university to get the student leap card. You can use this card to travel on buses and trains. Since you are a student, the cost of travel is 50% off.

The campus is well-structured. Faculty members are helpful and offer plenty of support.
Tips: Not quite satisfied with the course because I could have done it online or from my own country. The teaching and curriculum are the same here. I did avail a scholarship, but it was granted to all students in the course. It was a good decision, though, of coming here because I saw many changes in myself as a person. There are very few on-campus part-time jobs at my university. Students have to look off campus, which means they spend time searching for jobs, which isn’t ideal. The part-time jobs can be whatever they are, and sometimes they are easy and manageable, but other times they can be very difficult to manage. The average hourly wage is 13.50.
Likes (Safety): The campus is well structured, and safety measures are taken care of perfectly. We can roam around anytime, and it is very safe. Please do not take accommodation to far away areas else it might become hectic, especially avoid Ballybane. Try to rent near the college area as it is very safe.

Tips: The weather in Galway can be harsh at times, but it is also often pleasant. Apart from that, there are not many options for Indian cuisine when compared to Dublin, but you get used to it eventually. Even without Indian food, Galway is a very beautiful and less crowded city than Dublin. The university campus is peaceful and welcoming. People are very friendly and love to socialise. Faculty are highly talented and experts in their fields. They will also guide us with our assignments and internships. Overall, I am quite satisfied with the course, university and the country.

Tips: I have become more open-minded after seeing diverse people. My course offers a 2700 merit scholarship for all students. There are also two excellent scholarships that are based on profile and awarded to only two students. I enjoy attending university itself as it's very lively and useful. I go to the library to study there as it's well-equipped. Many DJ events are organized during festival times in Indian society. There are many student club societies for AI, entrepreneurs, etc. Overall, I am very well satisfied with the university, the course, and the country.
Dislikes (Value for money): The tuition fees were justified because the modules I was looking for were in this course, and that's why I chose it. I really think it's worth the money I spent and the knowledge I'm going to get from it. The course is well designed.

Good student life and a diverse college.
Tips: Be prepared for the climate conditions here. It’s very chilly and rainy and unpredictable, so you need to be prepared to layer up. Also bring your umbrella, as you’ll be using it a lot. Also be prepared with vitamin D here as summers here aren’t the same as in India. I prefer cooking myself as it is cheaper than eating out as restaurants are expensive and lack the local taste we expect. Ingredients are scarce here so we need to be careful choosing them from Asian/Indian stores located far away as seen on Google. I am satisfied with my experiences.
Likes (Student Life): The quality of teachers here at this university is excellent. The university also provides expert roles and assistance that help you grow. In addition, I love that we get to interact with each other through a variety of clubs and societies like football, F1, gaming and AI. This aspect lets us learn and grow together which leads to a better overall aspect of life.

Tips: Good for student life as a lot of activities are available. Indian society is very active here, so it's good to engage with fellow Indians here. Other societies are also active with events and engagement sessions, so you learn multiple things together. Some clubs like soccer, F1, and gaming societies are famous. One should mind the climatic conditions here and the course. I availed a normal scholarship, but it should be counted as a discount. The current market is down hope it turns up. Overall, very much satisfied with my decision.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Lack of good quality Indian restaurants, and also expensive for students here. Spices and Indian ingredients are expensive too so one should keep this in mind before coming here. Parcel are preferred but that expenses are to be note before hand too.

Tips: Students should be prepared for a rigorous, mathematically intensive programme. COMMAS is research driven, so self study and good fundamental knowledge in mathematics and programming are important though not necessary. Administrative processes in Germany can be slow, so patience and planning are essential.
Likes (Safety): Student residences have controlled entry systems. I have always felt safe moving around Stuttgart even when it's midnight. The police presence is consistent even when it's too late. The city is generally calm, well organised. I have never had any negative experience so far.
Dislikes (Quality of faculty): The teaching is highly theoretical and research oriented. The faculty is not very diverse in nationality. They are often very busy with research and projects. Some professors use advanced simulation examples, which is a unique strength. Getting quick response from the professors can sometimes be difficult.

The university is good and friendly.
Tips: Sometimes there are cultural socks but it is a matter of time as time passes, it becomes adaptable. There are scholarships like Deutschlandstipendium which offer 300 euros per month as a scholarship. It's a research university, so if you want to do research, it is good for you.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transportation is efficient as most people use bus and trains rather than their private vehicles. Students are not offered a city ticket but you need to buy a monthly ticket from the German train authority but it costs 40 euros per month only.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Generally, the market is not good right now otherwise, in a normal scenario placements are good. The job roles vary from design to development to project management. The package goes for a fresher from 50,000 euros per year to 65,000 euros and for an experienced a bit higher than this.

My honest take on studying in Stuttgart.
Tips: Well, students should know that Stuttgart is a big city and you might feel a bit lost in the beginning. If you are someone who likes European architecture and buildings, I will have to disappoint you because Stuttgart is not the most beautiful city when it comes to architecture. They do have a lot of industrial opportunities which also comes with a lot of competition from other international students. Unfortunately you also won't have the most international environment in your classes if you decide to pursue engineering here because mostly there are Indians so you might have to put yourself more out there for sports and extra curricular activities so that you can interact with more international people. We do have a lot of nature spots here. If you like nature and forest and hiking, you might like it here, especially on the Vaihingen campus at the University of Stuttgart.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty here is highly qualified and they have themselves studied from the world's best institutions. They are quite passionate at what they do. The research institutes also offer a wide range of thesis topics which can be pursued in order to fulfil your areas of expertise in the course of your Masters studies.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): The chances of permanent settling in the city of Stuttgart are less because the Visa office has really long waiting days. If you need to switch your visa from student to job seeker or a full time employee, it is a very overwhelming process. You could work in Stuttgart but it is highly recommended to shift to nearby cities in order to have smooth paperwork regarding the bureaucracy.

Tips: The Stuttgart city is not like a typical European city, which someone would expect, but it has decent leisure options. You would probably meet more people from different parts of India itself. You need to put in effort to make friends with people outside your country. Few people also have the opportunity to get the Deutschlandstipendium which gives you a scholarship of 300 euros per month for a year. The university staff is responsive, and local people are helpful as well.
Likes (Public transportation): The S-Bahn stop is right at the center of the University, and not just that, even the bus stop is directly in front. Once you have the Deutschlandticket, the connectivity is great. You can get to the main station in around 15 minutes, and have a lot of other options to go to like parks, shopping centres.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There are quite a few Indian restaurants around, which are decent, and you could go there once in a while. On average, the cost per person at a restaurant is at least 15 euros, and as a student, it is a bit on the higher side for a one time meal. Once you know how to cook, you would not prefer spending so much money for just one meal.

Tips: The academic transition was very drastic when I arrived in Germany. My Bachelor's at Savitribai Phule Pune University had a simple, straightforward curriculum and exam pattern, so it was initially difficult to adjust to the concept based lectures and exams at Stuttgart. I didn't apply for scholarships interested candidates can find information online. I am completely satisfied with my university and course. As a technical university, Stuttgart offers complete freedom in choosing courses and electives based on individual interests. There are also opportunities for internships and working student roles, providing valuable industrial exposure and helping students optimise their career paths. Settling in Germany can be challenging due to the demanding language, cultural differences and the current market situation.
Likes (Part time work): It is easy to find on-campus part time jobs at the University, which are mostly known as HiWi (Wissenschaftliche Hilfskraft) or Student Assistant roles. In such roles one can find and contact different Ph.D. students and assist them on their respective projects under their guidance and supervision. It is usually manageable to have a part time job that amounts to 10 working hours per week along with the regular academic activities. The average pay is around 13 euros per hour.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There aren't many Indian restaurants in Stuttgart, and the ones that exist are either expensive or not very good. This is specifically about Indian cuisine; there are still great options for Italian, Thai, Korean, Mexican, or Turkish food in the city. I prefer cooking Indian food at home.

The economy is weak and it's very difficult to find work for less experienced professionals.
Tips: Adapt to German culture and weather, especially in winter. Learn the language to grow your social circle or miss out on networking. The German National Scholarship is available if you have good grades and maintain them for the standard period of study for two years. I am generally quite satisfied, as you have a lot of flexibility regarding courses, how many courses you want to take per semester, and part-time jobs.
Likes (Safety): Generally, Germany is a safe destination for students. The campus is situated in the outskirts of the main city and is surrounded by nice park, forest, and sports facilities. Stuttgart as a city offers a lot - it has a great city center, a lot of museums (Mercedes, Porsche), and the nightlife is also very happening and safe.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): All companies offer sponsor visas, however, right now the economy is weak and it's very difficult to find work for less experienced professionals or students. There are all kinds of job roles on offer, from data scientists to software developers, but you need to demonstrate a lot of skills and experience.

Tips: It's always good to talk to your seniors who have taken the subjects, because a few courses are extremely difficult. I also don't have a scholarship for my course. I'm not really satisfied with the university and the course, particularly, because the university doesn't really help the students in many matters, including studies. I am, however, well satisfied with the country.
Likes (Safety): The campus is generally safe all the time. I'd say it's a common thing in Europe. I never had any bad experiences. I'm sure the police know how to handle things, though. It's pretty safe to travel even at night, too. The transportation facility in the city also helps a lot.
Dislikes (Student Life): The course structure is complex, but you could find time for travelling and engaging with student activities. There are some summer parties, as well as annual parties. Student technical hubs, such as the green club, are pretty active, but student activities overall have limited exposure.

The university is student friendly and people are very friendly.
Tips: Know the German language well. It'll help with part-time jobs and jobs after your studies. There are options for scholarships, but with the blocked account money and part-time jobs, it'll be more than enough to survive. Also, the exams and study patterns here are very different. You need to constantly study and be up to date with classes. Studying a day before the exam will not be useful here.
Likes (Safety): Germany is one of the safest countries in Europe. In my time here, I've rarely faced any racism or other issues. People are friendly here, even cops are helpful. And if you know German, it's gonna be of great help. Public transportation is quite safe and have connection to almost every part of the city.
Dislikes (Indian Food): I prefer cooking by myself. There aren't many Indian restaurants here, and the ones available are expensive for the taste. There are a few Indian grocery stores here where you can get stuff. My suggestion is to learn cooking before you come here. It's better for health and financially wise in the long run.

Likes (Student Life): The best thing about this university is internationalisation and part-time options with professors. Events like visiting tourist spots in the city, tech meet-ups, Science day and more. On average, I visit at least one event a month. Data about the club is available on the university website.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Upon learning the German language, it typically takes around 3 years to obtain German citizenship. Earning a minimum defined amount of salary can provide permanent immigration status. If not the case, it may take around 5 years. I think I will stay for the long term, as of now, but I am not interested in moving to Germany permanently.

Tips: I did not receive any scholarship, but it's possible to get a DAAD scholarship, which covers your entire academic expenses, including living expenses. All you need is a good academic background, and you’ll need to apply well in advance. You also might consider the Deutschland scholarship. The Deutschland scholarship covers your expenses too and pays you 300 euros a month. In Germany, it’s pretty easy to pick up odd jobs like a delivery service. You can also get a position in the technical field, like project management or civil engineering. However, the major challenge is the language barrier. If you don’t want to learn German and integrate into the German community, then don’t come here. It’s easy to balance studies and work as a student. The law allows you to work only 20 hours a week. Your salary should be enough to get you by.
Likes (Indian Food): There are several Indian stores and Indian restaurants in the city. But as a student, it is better to cook for yourself since it gets expensive to eat out regularly. Monthly grocery expenses are typically between 150 to 200 per person. Most restaurants are expensive and not student friendly. Fortunately, there are also many options for vegetarians.

Tips: Being open to different perspectives of people always comes in handy. I didn't secure any scholarship. To be honest, the satisfaction towards the university and course tends to rely more on how much one works on building their knowledge and utilising the available opportunities. The curriculum is designed to reward consistent efforts rather than last-minute preparations, which you can usually get away with back in India. The University of Stuttgart, being one of the Top 9 universities, is a respectable institution. In my course, many of the professors are highly knowledgeable in their area of expertise. One thing that I found challenging was the accent of the professors. They are not native English speakers, and each one has a quite unique way of speech and pace. Regarding the country, the essentials, like water, health care, and accommodations, are very good. Administrative processes take a long time, though, but they do surely happen.
Likes (Public transportation): Stuttgart has an excellent public transport system, which is typical of many tier 1 and tier 2 cities. There are two campuses of the University of Stuttgart, one at the city centre (near the Central Station) and another one at Vaihingen, both of which are well connected by the S-Bahn. The S-Bahn connects outer suburbs and satellite towns to the city, and the U-Bahn connects all popular locations within the city. Most students are advised to subscribe to the Deutschland Ticket (the most affordable option). For students under 27, there is an option for the Jugend BW ticket for €39.42 per month, but prices fluctuate. From a convenience standpoint, if you are used to using public transportation in India, then you should have no worries here.
Dislikes (Indian Food): The first thing that comes to the attention at an Indian restaurant is the price. That's because traditional ingredients from India cost more in Germany. In Stuttgart, one can find both south and north Indian cuisines with a bit of searching. Instagram and peers might come in handy, but I prefer self-cooking. At most supermarkets, groceries are of very good quality.

Tips: It is a little difficult in the beginning since it is not easy mentally and physically to leave your home country but once you get to your daily routine, it starts to settle in. There are a lot of cultural differences as compared to India, especially the language difference but it is all manageable at the end of the day. There are plenty of scholarship options for international students, although I was not able to secure one but there are many who do. The Deutschland Stpendum is one of them and it provides a monthly allowance of 300 euros. I am extremely satisfied with the teaching, part-time work environment and the opportunities one can enter later after graduation here.
Likes (Part time work): On-campus part-time jobs are usually offered by the departments and there are plenty of them. Since Stuttgart is home to a lot of automotive and automation industries, you find a lot of off-campus well-paid opportunities as well. One can manage both studies and part-time quite easily, a lot of students do it. The average pay is also on the higher end as compared to other cities but it also varies from company to company.
Dislikes (Quality of faculty): Few faculty members encourage doing internships and thesis with an external company while some do not encourage it. The faculty members are very approachable and excellent in their respective domains. Some of them provide hands-on training in some of the courses which provide practical use-cases as well. Although, the teachers are mostly German but speak very fluent English and understand the situations of students as well. Few faculty members also have good industry connections which helps the students in getting full-time/thesis jobs as well.

Students are from different countries so it is very fun and interesting for networking.
Tips: You will feel cultural shifts as the food is very different from that in my home country. Also, there is a language barrier as few people understand English, but it is manageable. On the positive side, public transportation is quite good here and mostly on time. Also, there are many part-time opportunities like working students or student assistant jobs available at the university. While the University of Stuttgart does not have any specific scholarships, you can apply for scholarships offered by companies. Overall, I am very satisfied with the university and my courses.
Likes (Safety): In the last two years, I have never felt unsafe at the University of Stuttgart. The police and emergency services are always nearby just 5 -7 minutes away and they respond very fast. There are smoke detectors everywhere, and the people are very friendly.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): As an international student, you will get too many opportunities for settlement but the only problem is visa delay from the government official as sometimes it takes months to get a reply. But other than that I would say it is possible to stay here permanently.

My chances of settling permanently in this country would be 40% as I like to have a social life which is a bit less likely to be seen here. From a job perspective, I would rather settle here, as they have good salaries as well as a work-life balance.
Likes (Safety): The police are very active and are always available to ensure our safety. The people here are very helpful if you approach them. There is a good public transportation system that allows you to travel all over the city. If you encounter any problems, there are SOS buttons at many locations.

Tips: Transitioning was not that difficult. You have a really big Indian community and you never feel far from home. You also make a lot of international friends and get to know a lot of things. I don't have a scholarship and I am mildly satisfied with my university. The country is extremely safe for people.
Likes (Internships): There are a lot of automobile companies to get internships into but no guidance is available. You have to do it on your own. Professors only care about teaching you. You can get an assistantship under them which will enhance your resume for future internships.
Dislikes (Value for money): The university's fees are too high for the quality of education you can get at any other university. The pressure of paying the fees hampers the study as you have to do a lot of part-time work to pay for it. The pressure is not worth the output you get in terms of education. It's good but it's the same provided in a university without the fee.

You should have very good German proficiency than your skills.
Tips: Nothing works here without fluency in German. You have to be responsible for upskilling yourself. Unless it is a compulsory internship, you won't get any help from the university for a voluntary internship. Learn German to mingle with the locals and get good jobs in the country.
Likes (Public transportation): With a Deutschland ticket, you get to travel all over Germany for 49 Euros. Stuttgart city has many connectivity options unlike other small cities, where sometimes the last bus will be at 7 pm and you will have to manage on your own afterwards. Long-distance Flixtrains are also cheaper.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Germany is under recession so it is hard to get jobs. The syllabus in university is outdated so you need to upskill on your own. The department never allows you to take a thesis in the company and the thesis topics in the departments are not industry-ready.

Tips: Self-reliance and the importance of upskilling are a must for students. Even though you can get part-time jobs while studying at this university, the amount you earn will go directly to your tuition, and the city is expensive compared to other small cities. RWTH is in Aachen, which is a better university and a cheaper city to live in.
Likes (Public transportation): Deutschland ticket makes it easier to travel across Germany for just 49 Euros per month except for high-speed long-distance trains like ICE. The trains in Germany are known to be late but let us be honest, only in Germany you can travel for this cheap. If you need high-speed trains for a low price, take Flixtrain for less than 10 Euros.
Dislikes (Value for money): The university is situated in one of the two states in Germany where they charge fees per semester and for the fees they charge we don't get enough benefits. The syllabus is outdated and is not up to the industry's needs. Professors are not helpful to students.

Tips: Before joining this college, students should know that eating out is expensive. However, there are plenty of supermarkets and Indian stores nearby where you can buy groceries and cook for yourself, which is more affordable than eating at the cafeteria or restaurants.
