Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): The new laws and restrictions have been introduced by the UK government to combat immigration. They are so concerned about immigration that they want to size it. PSW time has been reduced from 24 months to 18 months.

Likes (Value for money): Because of the world-class faculty that you get in Queen Mary University, the professors there, the faculty themselves are experienced holders in some kind of business and the rest are highly equipped with the modern era business knowledge.
Dislikes (Safety): I experienced a lot of cases of robbery, mobbing near me. I had a friend who was teased by a number of guys in the area near my accommodation. City was great a decade ago, but now when it comes to safety, London is no longer as safe a city as it used to be.

London is no longer safe as it used to be.
Tips: Queen Mary University is known for its reputation in business and Law School. Primarily, the transition from India to London was quite challenging as I came here without my family. I had to leave my family back at home, so it was quite challenging during the initial days, but slowly I adapted to the culture and the way of life. Made a new friend and started socialising. I was awarded a scholarship of 2000 that was based on my marks in graduation.
Likes (Post study jobs): Multiple job roles are listed on the Queen Mary University job portals, where students can access the jobs that have been posted there and apply directly to them on their portals. The recruiter's email is also given so that a student can establish a connection with the recruiter directly by emailing him or her.
Dislikes (Safety): Currently, considering the situation of London, crime has aggressively increased in the city of London. Stabbing is in newspaper headlines every day or every other day and phone snatching in central London is so common that an advisory and a warning have been issued by the mayor of London on how to prevent your phones from being snatched, even though it's written on the roads as well.

Here, traffic rules are followed by everyone, and our respected Police are unarmed and walking is preferred over everything. There is a huge culture of cycling and walking here. Tips: London is one of the most famous cities in the world but it is famous because of its people. People are always busy with their work. You would notice that people are toiling during the weekdays and they enjoy their weekends with full joy. Ethics are so good that employees are not pressured at all. Mental health is considered to be a big factor here. I am completely satisfied with this country and my university.
Likes (Indian Food): You'll find Indian grocery stores and food restaurants wherever you want and wherever you go especially in areas like Eastham Wembley Hounslow and Southall. In these areas, Indian restaurants are so prominent that they are also called mini India.

Likes (Value for money): This is because of the brilliant infrastructure top not faculty that Queen Mary University's business school has. The business school is one of the best business schools here in the UK and adding on top of that is associated with Russell group universities, which adds a lot of value all around the world.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): I have rated three stars out of five for the permanent immigration settlement option in the United Kingdom. This is because of the new and recent rule changes that have been introduced by the UK government. These new rules have trimmed the PSW period from 24 months to 18 months. Students can now only avail a PSW period of 18 months which used to be 24 months.

Tips: Before coming to London or Queen's University, one should know that London is a fast moving city. It has a time difference of four hours and 30 minutes from India. Likes (Value for money): The faculty members and the infrastructure of Queen Mary University of London and the reputation that its degree carries at as it is part of the prestigious Russell Group universities, is value for money in itself.
Dislikes (Safety): Because of the recent incident that has been reported in London city of multiple stabbing cases. One case was recently reported where my friend lives in Wembley Central and a stabbing case was reported there. A man was killed in broad daylight which was terrifying.

Tips: There was a major cultural difference in my country, and in this country, the way of speaking, the rules here and there were a major difference in the traffic rules as well. It took me time to adapt to these rules. As in India, we were not habituated to following the traffic rules, so strict that every River follows and gives preference to pedestrians. I received a scholarship of 2000 from Queen Mary University, London and I am completely satisfied with my university, my country and my course.
Likes (Indian Food): There are a lot of Indian food options in London, basically in Wembley, East Ham, and South Hall areas. There are a lot of varieties of food as well as South Indian, North Indian and many options for different cuisines. I prefer cooking at home because the food outside is very expensive but if going out with friends, I prefer eating outside in an Indian vegetarian restaurant.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Permanent immigration has been a big problem. There have been a lot of changes in the law so I believe that I won't be able to be here permanently because the changes in the visa would not allow me to get sponsorship easily.

Likes (Part time work): Queen Mary University of London is situated in the heart of London, where there are many part-time opportunities. Also instead of these opportunities, one can also visit Queen University job portals, where multiple part-time opportunities are also listed.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Because of the new rules that have been introduced by the UK government. These new rules alter the way of permanent immigration option as PSW has been decreased from 24 months to 18 months for the next January 2026 intake and much more.

Tips: Initially, it gets a little difficult as you have to cook for yourself and do everything by your own self but gradually it turn up to be a lessons for you and I Got a scholarship for 3000 in my university and also they help or make an adjustment for you, if you are unable to pay on time, they can extend some time for you, whenever you are comfortable with and I am very much satisfied with my university and the course which I opted for in the UK.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The quality of faculty in Queen's University business school was top notch during my tenure. I experienced the best teaching of my life. The faculty members hold a strong command of their subjects and are well aware of the current business scenarios and situation and they have a line they are teaching according to. Many of them are themselves experienced holders of some kind of business.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Recently, there have been a lot of changes in immigration where it is getting very difficult to get a permanent residence in the UK and also for the new entrance for study visa. They reduce the visa of post study from two years to 18 months. So setting here has become a hassle for both the employers and employee.

Tips: Before joining Queen Mary University, London one should know that London and India have a time difference of four hours and 30 minutes during the summer season and five hours and 30 minutes during the winter. During the winters, days are short and nights are long. You would notice that you would notice the dark sky at 3 PM during the winter season.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty in our university was well known for its corporate and commercial law, so my university was amongst the top universities in London and the faculty was really very helpful. Whatever was taught in the class was very good and knowledgeable and the faculty also helped if any further help us needed regarding the subject and guided us for the future as well. We were able to connect with the faculty via email very easily and they were very active on Outlook. So the connection with them was not a hassle at all, we were taught all the subjects using all the presentations, which were shared by us as well. The presentation was already uploaded to the portals so that we can have access to it at home as well, and we can make notes on the same PowerPoint presentations. The faculty was of different nationalities such as Indian, British and European.
Dislikes (Safety): I used to live in our accommodation which was not inside the university, so there have been many cases of stabbing and robbery in that area which made me feel very unsafe living in the city. My good experience in the city was because of my friends and the connectivity, which was there in the area, but at the same time, there were a lot of religious protest in that area and there was a lot of crime so it was very unsafe to get out of the house, especially during the nights because sum of my friends had a very bad experience where they were robbed. Be careful and always be on alert.

Likes (Public transportation): The transportation is good. Strong connectivity of the whole of London city via the tube network, underground, overground and national Railways and also the bus services. The only downside of this public transport in London is that it's on the expensive side.
Dislikes (Safety): I have rated four stars on safety out of 5. This is because of the high security that you get in the Queen's University of London campus. You can only enter by typing in your identity card and this clock is everywhere around the campus once you are on the campus. You are completely secured by these security cars and CCTV surveillance.

The laws have now become strict and they are in bits. The common Aman and immigration settlement option ILR has also been considered to be increased from five years to 10 years.

The university in really good but don’t expect too much or else you will disappoint
Tips: The university is really good. But they won't be providing you with anything like an internship or part time work. You'll gain knowledge and that's it. The staff is really helpful. I didn't get any scholarship, don't fool yourself into spending too much on university and please don't take a loan.
Likes (Public transportation): London city is extremely well connected and the campus can be easily reached through multiple transport options. Tubes are really good. You will get a lot of options to connect with in London and traffic management is really good. For buses, they have a cap limit so you'll never spend more than 5 GBP on buses in 24 hours.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): The chances of getting permanent residence are doubtful due to strict immigration rules and changing visa policies. Don't even trust your agent or counsellor. There is no hope for the settlement. Don't take a loan for the Masters; the recession is getting worse. There are no jobs.

Tips: Queen Mary University is not just famous for research and being Russell Group. Queen Mary University also offers diverse courses like sports and nutrition. It is worldwide for these courses as well. I am a student of sports and nutrition doing my Master's.
Likes (Public transportation): The public transport here in London is very well. Good bus offers flat 1.75 for one hour while tubes, underground and overground charge multiple fair and charges. I always preferred the bus over the tube as they were cost-efficient and saved me a lot of money. The connectivity, all around London, is very good.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): This is because of the new rail changes by the government which does not allow a smooth process for the permanent immigration settlement. The option used to be five years for the ILR, but it has increased to 10 years.

Tips: Queen Mary University is one of the top class universities that you can get here in London. It offers loads and lots of varieties of courses whether it rates from engineering and business courses or anything related to medicine. Queen University is known for its reputation.
Likes (Value for money): I got this scholarship of 4000 from the university. My fees were around 26,000 for a Russell Group university. Queen Mary University was completely value for money because of world-class infrastructure, world-class facilities and whatnot. Queen Mary University served all of my purposes and I am completely satisfied with my university.
Dislikes (Safety): London city is not the same as it used to be. Stabbing is now common in London. Many stabbing cases have been reported recently talking about the crime of snatching phones in the central area is so common that it's been written on the street as well to be aware of the snatchers.

Tips: The one thing that everyone coming to London for their Master's or undergrad should know is that time here in London just passes like a second in the hand; you need to have proper planning and a proper mind map to stay happily here in London. The weather in London becomes very depressing during the winter.
Likes (Public transportation): The public transport especially in the Stratford area is fantastic. Stratford has all the public transport available. Whether it's bus, train and National Railways. You get connectivity to London via Stratford. I was living at the Aspire Point in Stratford which is the official accommodation of Queen Mary University.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): It is because of the recent incident that has taken place here in London. Multiple saving cases have been reported in areas such as Wembley Hamlow and Central London and it has also been advised by the mayor as well to avoid travelling to the areas at night and multiple cases of snatching have also been reported in the central London area especially in Oxford Street.
