PTE Exam Fees 2025: Registration Fee, Cancellation & Rescheduling Fee

PTE Academic is a popular English language proficiency test for candidates looking to study overseas. The PTE exam fee for Indian students has been revised to INR 18,000 (which is inclusive of 18% tax) for the year 2025. However, it must be noted that the fee of the PTE exam varies based on the type of test you choose and the country where you take the test. 

The Pearson Test of English Academic, commonly referred to as the PTE exam, is one of the most widely recognised English language proficiency tests worldwide. Candidates looking to study abroad are required to go ahead with their PTE registration - an important admission requirement across universities. Important Update: The PTE Academic exam fee for the year 2025 has been increased by INR 1,000 in March 2025. The current PTE exam fee for Indian students is INR 18,000 (inclusive of all taxes). 

PTE Exam Fees 2025

The Pearson PLC Group has recently increased the fees for all sorts of PTE exams for Indian students in 2025. The current fee in India for the PTE Academic exam, PTE Core Exam and the PTE Academic UKVI exam is ₹ 18,000 (inclusive of 18% tax) and that for the PTE Home exams (A1, A2, and B1) is ₹ 15,284 INR.

The base fee of the PTE Exam for PTE Academic in India is INR 15,254.00 and an additional 18% tax payable, INR 2,745.72 bringing the total PTE test price to INR 17,999.72.

Note: There is no late fee for the PTE Academic exam even if you book the exam 24 hours before the test date. 

Country Wise PTE Test Fees 2025

PTE Registration Fee 2025

Test takers should note that PTE exam fees, PTE test fees, and PTE fees all refer to the standard PTE Academic exam fee or PTE registration fee of ₹ 18,000 (inclusive of 18% tax) in India. In case the candidate is booking his PTE exam within 48 hours of the PTE test date, the candidate would be required to pay the PTE Late Booking Fee. 

How to Cancel or Reschedule PTE Exam?

If you don't want to appear for the PTE Academic test, then you can claim a refund 14 calendar days before the test date. Cancelling or rescheduling the PTE Academic exam can be done on the PTE official website. Candidates can reschedule the PTE exam 2025 to any other date via phone or online. PTE Exam Cancellation Fees

Candidates who decide not to pursue their PTE Academic test after booking their exam online have up to 14 calendar days before their test date to claim a full refund. Candidates who cancel the test, with less than 14 calendar days, but at least seven calendar days before their test date, will receive a partial refund of 50% of the PTE test fee paid. However, no refunds would be provided to candidates for cancelling the exam less than seven calendar days before. Candidates should note that the cancellation and reschedule policy does not include their PTE test date. Check out the table below to learn more about the PTE exam cancellation fee: 

PTE Rescheduling Fees

Candidates who plan to reschedule the test, with less than 14 calendar days, but at least seven full calendar days before their test date, will be required to pay 50% of the PTE test fee. No refunds will be provided for rescheduling the exam less than seven calendar days before. Candidates should note that the rescheduled policy does not include their PTE test date.

How to Send PTE Score Report?

Candidates who wish to send PTE scores can do so via an online secure portal set up by PTE. Universities do not accept paper or PDF versions of PTE Academic score reports. PTE Test takers should note that the facility of sending PTE scores to universities is free and comes with no added PTE costs. However, candidates would have to follow the steps mentioned below.

Mentioned below are the steps to sending your PTE Academic scores to universities. This facility is entirely free of any PTE charges. 

• Login to your myPTE account
• Click 'View Score Reports'
• Click 'Send Scores'
• Type the name of your chosen institution and select your institution
• Type the name of our chosen course and select your preferred course of study
• Review your details then scroll down the page and click 'Next' to confirm
• Repeat for each institution (you can send your PTE scores to as many institutions as you like for free)
