PTE Exam Fees 2026: New and Updated Fees

PTE exam fees in India in 2026 are INR 18,900 (inclusive of 18% tax) for the PTE Academic, PTE Academic UKVI and PTE Core tests. PTE Home tests used to live either as dependants, businesspeople, or sportspersons in the UK, or to apply for UK ILR, now cost INR 15,300.

Indian students looking to study abroad are required to present PTE scores as part of admission process for various universities. The PTE Academic Exam Fee has been updated for year 2026-27 for Indian students. The new PTE exam fees in India are INR18,900 for PTE Academic, Core and UKVI tests. While PTE Home A1, A2 and B1 tests, which are the UK Visa and Immigration tests, now cost INR15,300 for Indians. Note that these fees are inclusive of 18% GST charges. Pearson PTE does not charge a late booking fee even if you book in the last 48 hours before taking the test. 

Based on your situation, you might be required to pay a cancellation and rescheduling fee, but never a late booking fee. Note that the fees of PTE exam for different countries are different and a different ID policy might also be followed. PTE Exam Fees in India 2026-27

The current PTE exam fees in India for the PTE Academic exam, PTE Core Exam and the PTE Academic UKVI exam are INR 18,900 (inclusive of 18% tax) and those for the PTE Home A1, A2 and B1 exams are INR 15,300 INR each.

The base fee of PTE Exam for PTE Academic in India is INR 16,016.95, and an additional 18% tax payable, INR 2,883.05 bringing the total PTE test price to INR 18,900.

Note: There is no late fee for the PTE Academic exam even if you book the exam 24 hours before the test date.

PTE Registration Fee 2026-27

Test takers should note that PTE exam fees, PTE test fees, and PTE fees all refer to the standard PTE Academic exam fee or PTE registration fee of INR 18,900 (inclusive of 18% tax) in India. You do not need your passport while registering for the PTE exam.

How to Check PTE Exam Fees?

To check PTE exam fees, you can simply visit the website - https://www.pearsonpte.com, then go to "Explore PTE Academic". Surf through the page and come down to find the button "find test centres and fee" - click on this and you'll get redirected to the fees page. Then, search your exam centre or just your country "India" in the search bar. From there, you will get the fees details for all different types of PTE exams for Indians.

PTE Late Booking Fee 2026

As confirmed by Pearson PTE, there are no late booking charges for the PTE exam. This fact stands true even when you book the test in the last 48 hours of the actual test taking date. 

Hence, in any case, PTE fees for Indian students for studying abroad is INR 18,900.   

How to Book and Pay for the PTE Exam?

To book a PTE exam slot, log in to My PTE portal. From there, you will be asked to select your purpose of taking the PTE test and your target destinations, on the basis of which you will be required to book the suggested PTE test, i.e. PTE Academic, PTE Core or the PTE Academic UKVI tests. Match these tests with your requirements and then make a decision. 

To pay for the PTE test, you can use either Credit/Debit cards, UPI (Google Pay, Apple Pay) or one of your country-specific payment methods. 

How to Cancel or Reschedule PTE Exam?

If you cannot appear for the PTE test on the scheduled date, then you can either cancel it or reschedule it on another date (which can only be done if there are more than 14 calendar days left for your current test date, check PTE rescheduling policy below). This way, if you cancel or reschedule your PTE exam - having more than 14 days left to your exam, you will get a 100% refund of your PTE fee. If there are less than 14 days left, you will be charged a fee; or you can say that only a few % of your fee will be refunded. Cancelling or rescheduling the PTE Academic exam can be done on the PTE official website. Candidates can reschedule the PTE exam 2026 to any other date via phone or online.

PTE Exam Cancellation and Rescheduling Policies

Your PTE Exam can be cancelled/rescheduled only in two cases - one, when it is done by you and second - when it is done by Pearson itself. In both the cases, the policies differ. In case, your PTE test appointment is cancelled by Pearson, you will get a full refund of your PTE exam fees. In case of rescheduling, Pearson will itself arrange an alternative date and test centre for you.

Factors Affecting the PTE Exam Fees

The PTE Exam Fees may be different for people of different nationalities or for the ones who have different puposes of taking the test. The major factors causing a change in the PTE exam fees for students are given below. 

1. Country:- PTE Exam Fees vary for different countries. 
2. Exam Type:- PTE Exam Fees for the PTE Academic, PTE Core and the PTE Academic UKVI exams are same. However, PTE fees for PTE Home A1, A2 and B1 exams are same but different from that of the PTE Academic, Core and UKVI exams. Thus, differentiating fees for people having different motives of taking the PTE exam.   

It must be noted that there is no "PTE late Booking Fee" - as confirmed by the Pearson PTE officials.  

How to Send PTE Score Report?

Candidates who wish to send PTE scores can do so via an online secure portal set up by PTE. Universities do not accept paper or PDF versions of PTE Academic score reports. PTE Test takers should note that the facility of sending PTE scores to universities is free and comes with no added PTE costs. However, candidates would have to follow the steps mentioned below.

Mentioned below are the steps to sending your PTE Academic scores to universities. This facility is entirely free of any PTE charges. 

• Login to your My PTE account
• Move to the 'View Score Reports' section
• Select the report you wish to share with the university and click 'Send Scores'
• Type name of your chosen university in search box and select it
• Type the name of your desired course and select it as well
• Review your details and then scroll down the page, click on 'Next' to confirm
• Repeat for each institution (you can send your PTE scores to as many institutions as you like for free)
