Indian test takers who are required to reschedule their IELTS test dates due to unforeseen circumstances can do so by using the 'Test Date Transfer & Cancellation/Refund Application Form' to change their IELTS exam dates. Candidates should note that the rescheduling of test date requests will only be accepted up to 09 days prior to the original IELTS exam date and no such requests will be entertained after this. Candidates should note that the allocation of a fresh date would be subject to availability and at the sole discretion of your IELTS test center. Candidates are required to pay an IELTS reschedule fee as mentioned below:

IELTS Exam Fee Mumbai – Refunds & Cancellations

Candidates looking to cancel their IELTS exam are required to get in touch with their IELTS test center up to 09 days before the original test date using the 'Test Date Transfer & Cancellation /Refund Application Form' along with the original receipt of payment of the test fee. If the cancellation is received 09 days before the original test date candidates would be eligible for a refund as mentioned below. The refund would be credited within 10 – 12 working days to the candidate. Cancellation requests received with less than 09 days remaining to the original test date will not be entertained and the candidate will not qualify for a refund.

IELTS Exam Fee Mumbai – Extraordinary Circumstances

Candidates who have missed the 09-day deadline can apply for a transfer of their IELTS test date (reschedule) before the commencement of their IELTS test date under 'Extraordinary Circumstances.' Candidates requesting a transfer of their IELTS test date are required to apply along with the relevant documents (original and scanned) attested by a first-class government officer as proof of the circumstances. The final call would be taken by the test center on a case-to-case basis and candidates can only apply for a test change date and are required to pay a fee. No refunds would be entertained. The new date would be allotted by the IELTS exam center based on their seat availability.

Serious illness - linked to hospital admission or other serious illness making the candidate not able to sit the test. For example, typhoid, jaundice, eye flu, infectious disease, surgery etc. Please note, that ordinary viral fever, cough & cold, stomach upset etc. will not be considered. A medical certificate signed by a registered medical practitioner and bearing his/her registration number / Hospital admission certificate and discharge summary (in case of hospitalisation)
Serious injury - linked to hospital admission, or injury such as fracture of the hand used for writing etc.
