MBBS in Germany Fees

Most of the public universities in Germany are state-funded, hence do not require tuition fees. MBBS in Germany Requirements

• The student must have completed their 10+2 from a recognised board
• The student must have an aggregate percentage of at least 50% or above in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, and must have studied English as a compulsory subject during their 10+2 years. (Some top universities may require over 90%)
• Students are also required to qualify for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET). This is mandatory even if the student is planning to pursue their medical studies abroad
• At the time of admission to foreign medical universities, the candidate would also be required to produce an Eligibility Certificate issued by the Medical Council of India
• Candidates would also need to have a working knowledge of the German language for admission to private universities, or English Language scores for admission to private colleges.
• In case the Indian 12th certificate is not considered equivalent to the German Abitur, applicants might be required to attend a one-year preparatory course, also known as Studienkolleg, and clear the Feststellungsprüfung (FSP) exam.
• Applicants might be required to provide proof of German language proficiency and must show at least a proficiency level B2 or C1 in German.

German and English Language requirements:

Applicants would need to provide proof of German language proficiency as most of the public universities in Germany, where the MBBS program is taught in the German language only. While some universities have an English language curriculum, some parts of the curriculum might be taught in German. Students must achieve at least level B2 or C1 proficiency in German on certified tests like TestDAF or DSH. Moreover, for English curriculum programs, applicants are required to have IELTS 6.5+ scores or equivalent.

Students who have completed their MBBS in Germany are eligible to work in Germany after their studies. International students can work for up to 18 months as part of their post-study work permit in Germany. This extended period of 18 months is called a post-study work permit in Germany. During these 18 months, candidates can work on their own initiative and take on any type of work to support themselves. Once they secure a job relevant to their qualifications, applicants can apply for a long-term residence permit or an EU Blue Card.
