Sending your TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) scores to colleges is an important step for international students who want to study abroad. For many students in India, understanding how to send TOEFL scores to universities abroad can be confusing. However, the process is quite simple once you know the steps involved.
To send your TOEFL scores, you can do it either before or after taking the test. If you choose to send them before the test, you need to create an account on the ETS (Educational Testing Service) website and select up to four colleges to receive your scores for free. After taking the test, you can log in again to send additional scores, but this will cost you USD 25 for each extra college.
When it comes to timing, TOEFL scores are usually sent electronically within 4 to 12 days after your test date, depending on the method you choose. This means that if you plan ahead and send your scores early, colleges will receive them in time for your application deadlines. Understanding these steps will help ensure that your application is complete and submitted on time, making it easier for you to achieve your academic goals in an English-speaking country.
The TOEFL application fee of INR 16,900 includes up to four free official TOEFL score reports being sent to the universities/ institutes that you select before you take the TOEFL exam at the time of your TOEFL registration process. Candidates have the option to edit (add or delete) score report recipients through their ETS account until 10 p.m. (local test centre time) on the day before their TOEFL test. If you make selections after 10 PM, then you will have to pay USD 20 for each additional score report.
