LOR is a formal document written by a recommender about your skills, and achievements. This is given to the admissions committee. It can be academic or professional LOR, but it must be written in a formal tone, with the examples, to base the details about you. There is no standard LOR format for UK universities, however, the LOR for UK should not exceed one or two pages or as stated by the university. Most UK universities prefer academic references, but some programs or courses may require professional LORs. However, personal references from friends or family members, regardless of any academic or professional relationships, are unacceptable. Undergraduate LOR for UK

Most UK universities process undergraduate admissions through the Universities and Colleges Admission Services (UCAS) portal. Hence, supplementary documents like personal statements, recommendation letters, or resumes are uploaded on the portal. At least one letter of recommendation is required for UG courses or a maximum of two that can be written by a subject teacher, school tutor, head teacher, school counsellor, or the Principal.
