Q. What set of skills are tested through the GMAT exam?
A. The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) assesses the writing, quantitative, analytical, verbal, and reading skills in written English. The test is designed to measure the ability of the candidate to reason all these skills. The test is designed to judge the critical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills of the candidates apart from monitoring the ability to solve complex judgments. A. The candidates can reschedule their exams online. Candidates can reschedule their exam between 1 to 14 days before the scheduled date by paying a $165 fee for the GMAT exam at a test centre and $180 for the online GMAT at home. Also, if the candidates want to reschedule their exam within 15 to 60 days of their exam date, then they will be charged $110 for the GMAT exam at a test centre and $120 for the online GMAT at home. If you reschedule the GMAT exam more than 60 days before the test date then you will be charged $55 for the GMAT at a test centre and $60 for the online GMAT at home. Further, the exam cannot be rescheduled on the test date. If the candidates are rescheduling the exam by phone, then they have to pay a $10 surcharge.

Q. How B-schools will receive my score?
A. GMAC, the body that conducts GMAT, makes sure that B-schools receive genuine GMAT results, the GMAC is itself sending the scores to B-schools. Candidates can select up to five B-schools where they want to apply and send their scores. However, after the GMAT results, if the candidates still wish to send more scores, they need to pay an additional fee of USD 35 per additional report.
Q. Will B-schools see my previous GMAT score?
A. Yes, they will look at the scores of the exams which you have given in the last five years. Your score report will enlist scores from each GMAT exam you have taken over the most recent five years.
Q. Can I cancel my score? How to do it?
A. You can cancel your GMAT exam anytime, however, one needs to pay a cancellation fee for it. If you cancel the exam by phone then you need to pay an additional USD $10 surcharge for scheduling the exam.
- The candidate needs to pay $220 as a cancellation fee for the test centre GMAT and $240 for the online GMAT exam. If the exam is cancelled within 1 to 14 days prior to the scheduled exam date, the partial fee of $55 and $60 for the test centre GMAT and the online GMAT is refunded to the candidate.
- If the candidate cancels the exam within 15 to 60 days of the scheduled exam date then you will be charged $195 and $80 will be refunded to you (in the case of the test centre GMAT exam).
- If you cancel the GMAT exam to be held at a test centre more than 60 days prior to the scheduled test date then you will be charged $165 and $110 will be refunded.
- The exam cannot be cancelled or modified in any way within 24 hours of the scheduled test date.
Q. Who can access my GMAT score?
A. GMAT scores can only be accessed by the candidate registered for the exam. Score Reports comprise a digital photograph of the candidate and copies of essays and can only be accessed if at all requested by the candidate while taking the test or while requesting Additional Score Reports (ASR).
Q. What if I cancel my scores?
A. Candidates can cancel their exam immediately after completing the exam without paying any additional cost. GMAT scores can also be cancelled online within 72 hours of giving the exam by paying a fee. Also, the cancelled scores will not be shown in the score reports sent to B-schools. However, it is not advisable to cancel your results once you have seen them, as in the future when you will send your scores to B-schools, they will be notified that you have cancelled your previous exam scores, so, it may give a negative impact on your MBA application.
Q. Which sections the candidate can request to rescore?
A. The candidates can avail of rescoring for the Analytical Writing Assessment (AWA) section. It cannot be applied to the Quantitative, Verbal, or IR Prep sections of the GMAT exam.
Q. Which documents do I need to carry to the test centre?
A. The candidate must carry a valid passport with a recent photograph and appointment confirmation letter which you got while registering for the exam.
Q. How the GMAT score is calculated?
A. The GMAT score is calculated using Quantitative and Verbal sections and scores range from 200 to 800. Moreover, if the candidate has not finished the exam in the allotted time then, his/her score is calculated based on the number of questions answered. The score of the candidate will impact significantly if the candidate has not attempted the answers.
Apart from this, the Analytical Writing Assessment (AWA) Score is based on the assessment of the Argument essay and it ranges from 0 to 6 in half-point intervals. Also, the Integrated Reasoning Score range from 1 to 8.

Q. What does the GMAT 2023 syllabus cover?

There are 40 GMAT Focus test centres located in India. Applicants can choose their test centres for GMAT Focus exam based on their location. The nearest GMAT Focus test centres are prompted to the applicant based on their current location and those who cannot find a nearby centre can opt for the next best option available.
There are multiple dates available for GMAT Focus for all months in the year. The GMAT exam dates may vary in some cases, some months may not offer all dates for appearing for the GMAT Focus Edition.
