List of Documents Required for Getting the Student Visa

Here is the list of common documents required for getting a student visa-

  1. Valid passport- The first and foremost requirement for getting a student visa is to have a valid passport. In addition to this, few countries also demand that your passport should be valid till the end of your course and beyond. Apart from this, make sure that your passport must have two blank pages for the visa stamp.
  2. Proof of funds- It is of para importance for the other country to know whether you have adequate funds with you or not. They wanted to know how you are going to fund your education and how you are going to arrange for the basic living expenses.
  3. Proof of acceptance by the respective institution: While applying for the student visa, you might need to show the acceptance letter of the institution/university you have enrolled in. Also, for many countries, the institute must be recognized by the immigration department of that country.
  4. Medical examination report: Various countries require that international students should undergo a medical test from the list of doctor authorized by them. It is advised to do it a few days before you start the visa application as the doctors need some time to prepare the medical reports.
  5. English Test Scores: Learning the native language of your destination country is a must for the majority of nations. As it acts as a proof that the student can easily communicate in the language which is going to be his/her medium of instruction. For English-speaking countries, students need to take language proficiency exams like IELTS, TOEFL, and PTE.

After submitting the application for the visa, now it’s time to gear up for the visa interview. Although, student visa interview is not mandatory for every country, as for some countries it is conditional. But wherever you need to give the interview, you should prepare well for it, as you won’t get the visa without clearing it.
