5. Exams for MBA Abroad
To be admitted to an MBA abroad, candidates must take standardised exams of GMAT and GRE. Find more details below:
GMAT
As an eligibility requirement for an MBA abroad, the GMAT exam is required by most MBA colleges abroad. More than 2,400 MBA and MIM colleges accept GMAT scores. When it comes to the GMAT cut-off for top B-Schools, most of them require a GMAT score of 645+. However, a GMAT score of more than 645 can secure you admission to a decent MBA program abroad. As for the GMAT pattern, the current version of the GMAT exam or GMAT Focus exam consists of Quantitative Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning and Data Insights. GMAT exam fee is USD 300 for GMAT Online and USD 275 for GMAT at test centre.
GRE
The GRE exam was usually taken to study MS abroad. However, it has also gained traction and importance as an eligibility exam for MBA abroad. Almost all the top MBA colleges abroad accept GRE scores. GRE consists of Analytical Writing, Quantitative Reasoning, and Verbal Reasoning. GRE exam fees for Indian students is INR 22,000 for General Tests and INR 14,500 for Subject Tests.
Executive Assessment
GMAC along with GMAT, also conducts Executive Assessment (EA). EA exam score is accepted for 200+ MBA, EMBA and Online MBA courses across 100+ B-schools. While not very popular, the EA test is taken mostly by those who hold 7-10 years of work experience and are applying for MBA/EMBA abroad. This exam has been specially developed for professionals like these. Executive Assessment is conducted all year round at both test centre and online. Though similar to GMAT, it is still shorter and harder than GMAT. Those who wish to take EA exam, can register through mba.com and schedule their exam. Executive Assessment cost is USD 350 for both modes of testing.

- MBA in Germany and France may need less or no work experience, and some public universities in Germany usually do not charge any tuition fees.
