The OET exam fee is AU$587 or INR 31,822 (approximately). This fee is for the entire test which includes the Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking sections of the Occupational English Test (OET). OET is an exclusive English language test designed for healthcare specialists who are looking to study or work in the healthcare sector in Australia, Canada, Ireland, Maldives, Malta, Namibia, New Zealand, Philippines, Qatar, Singapore, Spain, Ukraine, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates and the United States of America.

The OET exam fee for Indian students is INR 31,822 (approximately). This amount includes the charges of taking the four sub-tests (listening, reading, writing, and speaking). Students need to pay this amount at the time of OET exam registration. This fee is refundable only if you cancel the test one week before the exam date. 

The OET exam has been designed for 12 healthcare professions including Occupational Therapy, Dentistry, Nursing, Radiography, Veterinary Science, Medicine, Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy, Dietetics, Podiatry, Pharmacy, and Optometry. The OET exam is held twice every month. A total of 24 times in a given year.  Applicants can choose a date according to their schedule. OET Exam Fees 2024

Indian healthcare professionals who are looking to register for their OET exam will be required to pay an OET exam fee of AU$587. The OET fee in Indian rupees is INR 32,979.23 (AUD $1 = 54.21). Candidates should NOT get confused with the US pricing of the OET exam as the OET exam fee for US residents is US $455 and is ONLY applicable to candidates who are appearing for the OET exam from the US. Indian Healthcare professionals are required to pay the OET exam fees of AU$587.

OET Exam Fees for Sub-tests

As we have mentioned in our OET results, the OET score of the candidates is provided based on OET sub-sections. OET does not provide an overall OET score. So, if you want to appear in any individual OET sub-tests to improve their sectional scores, you need to pay accordingly. Candidates should note that this facility is only available for OET tests taken on paper. The OET exam is made up of four sections, Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking.

OET Exam Fee refunds (Paper-Based Test Only)

To get the OET exam refund in a paper-based test, you must cancel OET slot bookings up to one week before the test. However, candidates should note that in all cases the AUD 7 online booking fee paid by the candidate during the registration process will not be refunded.   • Here against their booking there, will be an option to  'Withdraw' their test and also there would be a mention of the refund value the candidate would be entitled to on withdrawing his/her booking.

Note: Candidates should note that NO refunds will be provided for withdrawals made less than a week before the test. Candidates will have to withdraw the entire booking including subtests. and once a request for a withdrawal has been submitted it cannot be reversed.

If you cancel the full OET Test (four sub-tests) before the booking closing date, your refund will be AU$460. If your test contains less than 4 sub-tests, we’ve listed the refunds below: 

  • 1 sub-test: AU$188  
  • 2 sub-tests: AU$288 
  • 3 sub-tests: AU$388 

If you cancel the full OET Test (four sub-tests) after the booking closing date (until 23:59 the week before test day), your refund will be AU$380. If your test contains less than 4 sub-tests, we’ve listed the refunds below: 

  • 1 sub-test: AU$108 
  • 2 sub-tests: AU$208 
  • 3 sub-tests: AU$308

OET Exam Fee Refunds (Computer-Based tests only)

Given the pandemic, Cambridge Boxhill Language Assessment Trust - the conducting body of the OET exam has launched the OET-at-home test. However, only two professionals, medicine and nursing are available for the OET computer format of the test. Candidates who have booked the computer mode of the OET exam are required to cancel their booking up to two days before the start of their first test to be eligible for a refund.

Candidates would be required to visit the official website and log into his/her account to access their OET registration page. Here, the candidate is required to request a withdrawal of the booking. Candidates who withdraw or cancel less than two days before the test start time will receive no refund. 

  • If you cancel before bookings close, the cancellation fee is AUD120 (or USD 95 for OET on Computer or OET at Home in the USA).
    • If you cancel the full OET Test (four sub-tests) before the booking closing date, your refund will be AU$460 (or US$355 for OET on the Computer or OET at Home in the USA). 
  • If you cancel after bookings close, the cancellation fee is AUD200 (or USD155 for OET on Computer or OET at Home in the USA). 
    • If you cancel the full OET Test (four sub-tests) after the booking closing date (two days before test day), your refund will be AU$380 (or US$295 for OET on the Computer or OET at Home in the USA).

Candidates who have raised OET fee refund requests will receive their refund where applicable to the original card used to book the test within 7-10 business days. If your credit/debit card has expired candidates would be required to get in touch through the official website.
