To get admission to the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) at the Directorate of Distance Education, candidates must have at least 50% marks in their Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's Degree in Science, Social Sciences, Humanities, or Bachelor's in Engineering or Technology with specialisation in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks. Admission is based on merit of the written test/Common Entrance Test conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) or designated agencies accepted by the University. The total annual fee for the programme is Rs. 60,000 for pre-service trainees and Rs. 21,000 for in-service trainees. The programme is a two-year regular course based on four semesters, with a curriculum that includes subject knowledge, human development, pedagogical knowledge, and communication skills.
