RPF SI 2021 notification is yet to be released by the Ministry of Railways. Once the notification is released by the examination authority, the same will be provided on this page. The notification will contain all information related to the exam such as important dates, vacancies, selection process, exam pattern, syllabus, etc. The application form will be released along with the notification. Interested candidates need to fill the application form online. Any graduate candidate aged between 20 and 25 years can apply for the exam. In 2018, a total of 2,21,665 female and 12,04,090 male candidates had applied for the exam.

What is RPF SI exam?

RPF SI exam is conducted by the Ministry of Railways to select eligible male and female candidates for recruitment to the post of Sub-Inspectors (SI) in Level 6 of 7th CPC in Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Railway Protection Special Forces (RPSF) in various zones of Indian Railways.

RPF SI Eligibility Criteria 2021

The eligibility criteria of RPF SI provide details regarding age, educational qualification and nationality. Candidates can check below RPF SI eligibility:

  • A candidate must be a citizen of India
  • Any graduate candidate can apply for the exam
  • The age of candidates should be between 20 to 25 years

The exam dates of RPF SI will be conducted in CBT mode across various cities spread throughout the country. 

RPF SI 2021 Vacancies 

The details regarding the vacancies will be announced along with the notification. In 2018, a total of 1,120 vacancies were announced for both male and female candidates. Selected candidates will be in level 6 of the 7th CPC with initial pay of Rs 35,400. Besides, candidates are also entitled to various allowances as per the government rules.

Filling the RPF SI Application Form

RPF SI application forms are required to be submitted online only through the official website. Candidates candidate need to submit only one application form. RPF SI application form 2021 is required to be filled in English only. The application fee is Rs 500 for Unreserved categories while it is Rs 250 for Reserved categories.

Release of RPF SI Admit Card

RPF SI admit card 2021 will be available online separately for CBT, PET & PMT and Document Verification. Candidates need to download their admit cards by logging into the required credentials.

Appearing in RPF SI CBT

The CBT will be held for 90 minutes and comprises 120 objective-type questions from General Awareness, Arithmetic, and General Intelligence and Reasoning. The total marks allotted to the test are 120. Also Read: RPF SI 2021 Exam Pattern

Declaration of RPF SI Result

RFI SI result is released online separately for different groups, A, B, C, D, E, & F. The result PDF is released in the form of a merit list. RPF SI result displays the roll numbers of qualified candidates. Based on the merit in CBT, candidates 10 times the number of vacancies are called for PET and PMT. Also Read: RPF SI Cutoff

Appearing in PET, PMT & Document Verification

It is mandatory to pass the PET and it is qualifying in nature. Based on the performance of candidates in the CBT, PET & PMT, they are called for Document Verification.

Final Selection

The appointment to the post of RPF SI is subject to passing the requisite medical fitness test, final verification of educational and category certificates, verification of character and antecedents of candidates, and successful completion of initial training. 

RPF SI Exam Centres

The examination authority releases the list of RPF SI test cities along with the notification. RFP SI exam centres are distributed division-wise under certain groups-A, B, C, D, E, F. Candidates applying to the railway zones under these groups, will be allotted exam centres coming under that particular region.

RPF SI 2021 Exam Day Guidelines

The exam day guidelines for RPF SI exam is given below:

  • Electronic gadgets such as mobile phones, bluetooth, pen drive, laptops, calculators, and wrist-watches or any other communication devices are not allowed inside RPF SI exam centre
  • Candidates are not allowed to carry pen/pencils inside the exam centre
  • Candidates need to carry RPF SI admit card to the exam centre. Without the admit card, candidates are not allowed to appear for the exam
  • Carry one photo-identity proof (both original and photocopy) along with the admit card
  • Candidates should reach the exam centre early to complete the verification process
  • No candidates are allowed to enter the exam hall once the exam begins
  • Candidates must bring one colour photograph along with the admit card

Q. How will I apply for RPF SI exam?

A. RPF SI application form is released on the official website. Candidates need to apply online for the exam.

Q. What is the exam fee for RPF SI exam?

A. The exam fee is INR 500, out of which an amount of INR 400 is refunded after deducting bank charges on appearing in the CBT. For candidates belonging to SC/ST/Ex-Serviceman/ Female/ Minorities / Economic Backward Class, the exam fee is Rs 250 which is also refunded after deducting the bank charges.

A. Selected candidates will have to undergo rigorous initial training in any one of the RPF/RPSF training centres or any other such institution as decided by the railway administration. The trainee recruits/cadets are given a stipend of INR 35,400 plus other allowances.
