If you want to get admission to the BTech Biotechnology course, you should have at least 50 to 60% marks in the PCM/PCB/PCMB subjects in Class 12 board exams. Also, you should give relevant entrance exams and score very good marks. A lot of colleges also give admission on the basis of Class 12 merit where they release merit cutoff lists and often take GD or PI rounds to give you seat for the course at the college. So, you should get excellent marks in Class 12 as the cutoffs are usually high.

The general admission process for the BTech Biotechnology course starts by checking the eligibility criteria for the course at your desired colleges. The basic requirement is to have at least 50 to 60% marks in the PCM/PCB/PCMB subjects in Class 12. Some colleges also give merit-based admissions for which you will have to check their college website.
The next step to follow is to give relevant entrance tests and get very good marks in the same. You also have to fill out the college application forms before the last date. After the results are out and you've got your marks and rank, you have to apply for the college counselling session where you will be given a seat according to your rank in the exam.
After seat allotment, you need to go to the college and pay the BTech Biotechnology fees.

For studying the BTech Biotechnology course, you must have a minimum of 50 to 60% marks in the PCM/PCMB subjects and valid entrance exam scores. Most of the top colleges including the IITs and the NITs give admission on the basis of entrance exam marks.
