What is Information Technology?

In today’s world Information Technology (IT) has become the most fundamental need for proper functioning of human society. Be it running the banks or getting food from an eatery home-delivered, Information Technology has become the part and parcel of our lives. This dependence on Information Technology has given rise to the demand of learning and further innovation in this field as a result of which it has become one of the most popular fields in education and career. You can find IT specialization in every branch of education, from IT & Software, Engineering, Aviation and Medicine to MBA and even Hospitality.

In this technological era, the best career option for students in present and immediate future is to become an Information Technology (IT) professional. Apart from industrial and high-risk tasks, every small day-to-day activity is now governed and performed with the help of IT. Most people confuse IT courseswith Computer Science. Computer Science is the study of aspects of computing, starting from the design of microprocessors, personal and supercomputers to designing circuits and writing codes for the software that powers these machines, whereas Information Technology deals with the regulation and security of data through electronic devices and its related software. Read: Difference between IT and CSE

Information Technology is everywhere in our daily lives – from building a spaceship to delivering food at doorsteps. Speaking about applications, for every task existing under the sun, there is an application to either help one learn how to do it, or teach one how to do it better and more effectively. In such a scenario, a career in IT is the most relevant and financially rewarding path to follow for students.

How to prepare for a career in the IT sector

India is considered the hub of IT education, with over 4000 institutes and colleges offering various courses at undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral and certificate level. Besides, it is a known fact the almost all the top global IT companies have a sizeable number of Indian IT graduates working in various capacities. In fact, USA accounts for more than 60% of Indian IT professionals.

Information Technology courses are taught at both UG and PG degree level. Short-term courses like IT diploma and certifications are also offered by various institutions in India. Starting salary for an Information Technology graduate is Rs 4 lakh per annum at junior level. At senior level, salary packages offered to freshers are above Rs 7 lakh per annum.

Many people often confuse IT with Computer Science Engineering (CSE). But the truth is, they are different, although they both are study of computer and computer system.

If you are looking for best university for MBA course, I would say Lovely professional University is best University to pursue this course. Lovely Professional University is quite eminent for the MBA. You can do MBA in different streams like financial markets, International Business, Tourism and hospitality, Banking and insurance, E-Commerce, Fintect, Business Analytics, etc. So you can choose any of the above-revealed streams according to your area of interest. I would say, The Business School of LPU is accredited from (ACBSP) Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs from the USA ensuring quality education and industry experienced faculty members, studying in LPU will get a degree accredited from a body of USA. LPU has recently Marked among Top 50 Best Management Institutes by NIRF ranking 2020. Also, LPU has won National Employability Award 2020. Faculty in our department is well-experienced and have expert knowledge who work on our skill enhancement. There are lots of career opportunities after MBA in different areas. The university also gives us the opportunity to get real-life exposure through various training programs and an internship, which is mandatory for all. Professors go for value-based education which is something we as professionals would require in our career. Guest lectures by experts and some really successful people are arranged by our department to widen our scope of learning. Most of faculty members are from IIM or from elite B- Schools (India/Abroad. They have decade of experience. Faculty was really helping. Even they helped her after regular university hours for her projects. Entrepreneurship projects are integral part of curriculum and help establish themselves as successful entrepreneurs. I got opportunity to work on community development project on social issues to cultivate social sensitivity and sense of responsibility. University has collaboration/Tie up with the companies like NSE, Safe Educate, ICICI Direct, HDFC, etc. To give students the opportunity for pursuing live projects and/or professional certifications like NCCMP, NCFM etc. MBA students are getting placed at an average package of &get;46 LPA in more than 100 companies. More than 150+ companies have already visited 2019-2020 MBA batch of MBA and nearly all of them are already placed.

An MBA degree ensures that the student has enough learning and knowledge to be able to work in any area of his choice. It opens up multiple career options for students. Thus, after an MBA degree, a student is not restricted to work in any specific sector or area, rather, he/she can choose to specialize in any of the field and work in that area. Some of this includes Finance, Marketing, Operations, Human Resource, International Business, and IT. There are several popular job roles available for MBA graduates such as Business Manager, Human Resource Specialist, Accounts Executive, and Public Relations Specialists. During an MBA course, the training, internships and jobs give an MBA graduate an immense opportunity to interact and communicate with business professionals from various domains. There are many institutes in Delhi NCR which provides MBA like IILM University, Gurugram, Amity University, Apeejay School of inspired leadership and many more. Hope this help!

Information Technology course is a technical programme designed specifically to meet the current industry requirements with limited courses. Job opportunities are limited but definitely better than the traditional graduate programme. However, Bachelor of Engineering (B.E. ). In IT is a combination of software programming, hardware administration, software administration, networking and network security with vast knowledge of the subject. There are huge job opportunities after doing this programme with better salary package compared to B.Sc. IT. So both the courses have different aspects from the industry and careers points of view. Information Technology course is a technical programme designed specifically to meet the moderns needs in the field of Information Technology including artificial intelligence. B.Sc. Course IT details for fees changes according to the institutions. The Bachelor of Engineering (B.E. ). Is the 4 year full-time undergraduate course leading to the engineering degree and have theoretical based concepts and principles The duration of undergraduate engineering course varies from country to country. IT deals with management of computers rather than computation. IT is a combination of programming, hardware administration, software administration, networking and network security. Information Technology is a narrower and more focused field and entails subjects like networking technology for digital devices, financial accounting and management of technological innovation, digital communication, Internet technology and applications, computer simulation modelling, image processing, multimedia systems and project management. So from above B.Sc. IT is a study of basic and pure Science. It is more emphasized towards research, knowledge and development. Students who take up the course of B.Sc. Are more devoted towards the profession of teaching and the majority of them end up becoming professors and lecturers. While B.E. Therefore I feel that you may not be eligible to pursue Ph.D. in any other subject in Humanities. But you can pursue Ph.D. in information technology in which you already have a post graduation. Basically Ph.D. means doing research and the degree awarded is Ph.D. in respective of the field in which one does it. But then there could be instances where some private University may allow you to pursue your dreams. But you need to find the sword by contacting the administrative staff of the concerned University. Else you can think of doing post graduation in that subject of Humanities in which you are interested in carrying out research and then register yourself for Ph.D. Best wishes to you.

After a BCA the student can strengthen the basics learnt by pursuing an MCA (Masters of Computer Applications). The course provides ample training to diverge and specialize in a number of allied fields. An MBA in IT Management is one such option. Another route is a Master degree in IT. It goes without saying that a BCA degree opens lucrative job opportunities in IT organizations like Wipro, Infosys, Oracle, and IBM. Students from all over India as well as from Nepal and Bhutan comes to study at this University. Some of my batchmates were from theses places. Also you are allowed to follow your passion here if you have one like singing or dancing. You will be provided with music classes and will be a chance to perform with good well knowned music band.

Right? I am afraid lateral admissions are only allowed in engineering graduation courses in which a student who has done diploma is given admission directly into second year of 4 year degree course. But for graduation in any other course this facility is perhaps not available. You will have to take admission only in the first year of the degree course.
Best wishes to you.

Course in Computer Science and Engineering or Information technology students aspiring for a BCA course do not need to have Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in their Class 12th examinations. Students from the field of arts and commerce are equally eligible for joining the course as the ones from the Science background. However, Any student completed higher secondary (10+2) with Math as a compulsory subject and computer as an elective/compulsory in 10+2 will be given an advantage. Some universities/colleges conduct an entrance exam to take admission in the BCA course. But Most of the colleges or Universities normally enrolled students based on their marks in 10th and 10+2. Here, either 10+2 marks will be a priority or maybe on the basis of First come First serve. All the Best.
