Alternative medicine is a study of natural medical practices that makes use of ancient techniques to heal the body. It focuses on medical products and practices that are outside the conventional clinical care. Alternative medicine includes dietary supplements, vitamins, natural products, herbal recipes, massage therapy, magnet therapy, and spiritual healing. The effectiveness and scientific relevance of these systems of medicine make them a popular stream of study among young aspirants in India. Some of the popular alternative streams of medicine are Homeopathy, Unani, Ayurveda, and Naturopathy. There are a number of alternative medicine colleges in India offering the course at diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

To obtain a Certificate in Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery, you would need to complete a UG programme in the field of homeopathy, which is offered by various homeopathic institutes, colleges, and universities in India. After completing the BHMS programme and passing the necessary exams, you will be awarded a Certificate. The CCH (Central Council of Homoeopathy) is responsible for regulating the education and practice of homeopathy in India. The council recognizes and authorizes the operation of homeopathic colleges and institutions. It's a good idea to check if the homeopathic college from which you are planning to pursue your Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery course is recognised by the Central Council of Homoeopathy. You can also check with the university or college to SEE if they have any tie-ups with other recognised bodies like the NCH (National Council for Homoeopathy) or SCH (state councils for homeopathy), which will make your degree or Certificate more valuable for further education and jobs. For more information, you may visit the Shiksha BHMS page. (https://www.shiksha.com/bhms-bachelor-of-homeopathic-medicine-and-surgery-chp). I hope this will help you.

1. You may have to pay a hefty price for the private MBBS programme; some colleges charge fees for this programme that total in the crores. A government college's BHM tuition is typically under Rs. 6 Lacs and occasionally thousands of rupees.
2. For any course, a government college is more valuable than a private college.
3. The government is promoting the study of homeopathy, making it easier to find employment after earning this degree.
4. You need to pursue an MD or MS to become a doctor; you cannot find a job easily after receiving an MBBS. As a result, you need to wait longer than BHMS doctors to begin your career. The choice is ultimately yours if becoming a neurosurgeon or other MBBS doctor has always been your dream. You won't be content with a BHMS degree in this situation. To fulfill your dream, you can choose a private MBBS over a government BHMS.

2. The Bachelor of Physiotherapy BPT is less expensive than the BHMS in terms of tuition. In government colleges, the cost of a BHM programme can reach Rs. 10 lacs, whereas the cost of a BPT can range from Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 6 lacs.
3. If you hold a BHMS degree, you are eligible to work as a homeopathic doctor, government medical official, or health consultant. With a BPT degree, you can work as a physiotherapist in hospitals, as a sports physiotherapist, as a fitness instructor, etc.

1. Coursework: The students study homeopathic Science and its applications in the Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery BHMS programme. You study pathology, human anatomy, and other clinical aspects of medicine in the MBBS programme.
2. Fees: The fees for the BHMS are comparably lower than the MBBS fee. The cost of the MBBS programme can even exceed 15 lacs in government colleges, while the cost of the BHMS programme can exceed 6 lacs.
3. Job Role: A BHMS qualifies you for positions as a homeopathic doctor, government medical officer, or health consultant. In order to practice medicine, including surgery, in private hospitals and clinics, you must have a master's degree. However, after receiving your MBBS you can apply for government medical officer positions, such as those in UPSC CMS.
4. Pay: An MBBS degree can earn you up to Rs. 1 Lacs per month, whereas a BHMS degree can net you an average salary of about Rs. 35,000 per month. To get either of these degrees, you have to appear in the NEET UG exam; therefore, you can decide as per your interest.

The external students must have a NEET score of more than 530, whereas the internal students must have a score of more than 470 to be eligible for admission. Therefore, your 188 is insufficient to gain admission to this college for BUMS. You could try to get into some private BUMS colleges.
