Theatre is also called as theater can be defined as the form of performing arts that is mainly related to performance, performers. The performers are also called as the actors or actresses. The performer or the actor performs different characters or present a real or imaginative character on stage in the presence of audience. The performance may also involve different gesture, dance, music etc. The place where the act is performed is also known as theatre. The modern theatre art forms consists of musical theatre and plays. Eligibility Criteria to pursue Theatre Course

To establish a career in the field of performing art form theatre, candidates are required to meet certain eligibility criteria. Before applying for the course, candidates are required to check the below mentioned eligibility criteria required to pursue the theatre course. 

UG Courses: Candidates willing to pursue theatre courses at UG level should have passed their 10+2 exam or equivalent from any recognized board or institute.

PG Courses: Candidates aspiring to pursue theatre course at PG level are required to have qualified BA or BSc or BCom with a minimum passing marks of 40%.

Along with it, candidates should have at least two years of stage experience.

Some colleges also conducts entrance examination for admission to theatre courses at PG level.

Notably, candidates who are physically handicapped, blind, dumb, deaf, or stammer are not eligible for the course.
