You will mostly be examined in English Legal Reasoning general knowledge, and current events throughout the AILET exam. Q:   How can I prepare for CLAT AILET & ISAT? Can you provide any recommendation of books? I'll be appearing for the first time.

A:
Certainly! Here are some tips for preparing for CLAT AILET and ISAT: Develop a deep understanding of the concepts: Rather than just memorizing facts and formulas, focus on developing a deep understanding of the concepts. This will help you apply them to new situations and solve complex problems. Build a strong vocabulary: A strong vocabulary is essential for exams like CLAT AILET and ISAT, where you will be tested on your English language skills. Try reading English newspapers, books, and articles to improve your vocabulary. Practice with a timer: Time management is crucial for these exams, as you must solve many questions in a limited amount of time. Practice with a timer to improve your speed and accuracy. Develop a strategy for each section: Each section of the exam requires a different strategy. For example, in the Legal Reasoning section, focus on understanding the principles of law rather than memorizing the facts of the case. Similarly, in the logical reasoning section, focus on understanding the reasoning behind each argument rather than just the conclusion. Here are some book recommendations for each exam: CLAT: Persons Legal Reasoning and Legal Aptitude for the CLAT Universals Guide to CLAT and LL.B. Q:   How do I prepare the entire GK section for CLAT, AILET and other law exams in a couple of weeks?

A:
Hi Saharsh! I'm sharing what I did to grasp Current Affairs and make sure I recall them during the exam day: Focus on Current Affairs by reading newspapers and news websites regularly. Make notes of important events, people, and places in a separate notebook while reading the newspaper. Watch news channels and attend online GK quizzes to enhance your knowledge. Refer to popular GK books such as 'Manorama Yearbook' or 'Lucent's General Knowledge' and focus on topics such as History, Geography, Science, and Indian Polity. Use online resources such as GK quizzes, mock tests, and previous year question papers to practice and test your knowledge. This will also help you understand the exam pattern and types of questions asked. I referred to the GK quizzes and mocks published by LegalEdge for my practice. Also, they publish daily, weekly and monthly Current Affairs that was a saviour whenever I missed reading newspaper because of board preparation or school exam preparations.

Q:   Which exam is more difficult - CLAT or AILET?

A:
The difficulty level of CLAT is generally moderate while the AILET paper is usually difficult, as per students' feedback and experts' views. Note that around 3000 UG and 1000 PG seats offered by the NLUs will be filled through CLAT. However, NLU Delhi conducts the AILET exam for filling around 120 UG seats and 80 PG seats offered by the university. Given fewer seats, competition in AILET is higher.

Q:   What is the difficulty level of AILET Exam?

A:

The difficulty level of AILET exam can be considered moderate to difficult. The exam is designed to test the candidates' knowledge and understanding of various subjects of law and general knowledge. The level of difficulty may vary from year to year, and it largely depends on the preparation and understanding of the candidates. However, candidates who are well-prepared, have a strong understanding of the subjects, and have practiced enough questions are likely to find the exam easier to crack. To prepare for the exam, candidates should focus on understanding the concepts and fundamentals of each subject, solving practice questions and previous year papers, and managing their time effectively during the exam. It is also important to stay calm and composed during the exam and avoid getting stuck on difficult questions, as it may affect your overall performance.

Q:   What are the exam timings for AILET?

A:

AILET is a 120 minutes examination, and it is scheduled from 11:00 am to 1 pm. The exam timings are shared by NLU Delhi every year in the admission notification. For an exam day, candidates should reach their allotted exam centre at least an hour before the exam timings, as the centre officials will not allow any candidate after the exam has already begun. Therefore, candidates must evaluate the time to reach the exam centre, and keep at least 30 minutes extra for frisking and seating arrangements at the test centre. Hence, AILET was conducted exclusively for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered by NLU Delhi.
