SSC JHT 2023: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) announced SSC JHT result 2023 for Paper 1 exam on November 23, 2023. Along with the result, the cut off marks have been released. A total of 2274 candidates qualified for Paper 2.

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the SSC JHT (Junior Hindi Translator) for the recruitment of candidates for the post of Junior Hindi Translators or Junior Translators in different departments and ministries under the Government of India. The recruitment is carried out for various posts such as Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translator, Senior Hindi Translator, and Hindi Pradhyapak.
SSC JHT Dates 2024
SSC JHT 2024 notification will be released on July 23, 2024. The application form will be made available from July 23 to August 21, 2024. The exam will be conducted in October-November 2024.

SSC JHT Notification 2023
The official SSC JHT notification 2023 was released on August 22, 2023. SSC released the official notification for the post of Junior Hindi Translator and Senior Hindi Translator. SSC JHT notification contains important information such as dates, eligibility, syllabus, pattern, application process, fees, etc.
SSC JHT is conducted annually depending upon the number of vacancies. The selection process comprises Paper 1, 2, and Document Verification. Candidates who qualify all the states successfully will be appointed to the posts of Junior Hindi Translator and Senior Hindi Translator. After qualifying Paper-I candidates are shortlisted for Paper-II and after qualifying Paper-II candidates are shortlisted for document verification. Candidates are allotted to the respective ministries/departments as per their preference. The departments are- Central Official Language Service, M/o Railways (Railway Board), Armed Forces Headquarters, subordinate offices.

SSC JHT Eligibility Criteria
Candidates need to fulfil the following eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. Except for educational qualification, age and nationality are the same for all postcodes. The educational qualification varies as per the postcodes.
Age: The age limit is 18 to 30. Reserved category candidates will get relaxation in the upper age limit.

Filling the application form
SSC JHT application form is released online on the official website. The application form comprises two parts: Part I (One-Time Registration) and Part II (Filling the application form). The application fees were INR 100 and could be paid both online and offline. Women/SC/ST/ESM candidates were exempted from fee payment.

Release of Admit Card
SSC JHT admit card is released online separately for Paper 1 and 2. The admit card is released two weeks before the exam on the respective regional websites of the commission. To download the admit card, candidates need to enter the required details.
Appearing in the Exam
The entrance exam is conducted in two stages: Paper 1 and 2. Based on the marks scored in Paper 1, candidates are shortlisted category-wise to appear in Paper 2. On the basis of the performance in Paper 1 and Paper 2, candidates are shortlisted for Document Verification. The final allocation is done based on the merit-cum-preference.
Declaration of Result
SSC JHT result is announced online on the official website. The result is made available in PDF form. SSC JHT result displays the roll numbers of qualified candidates.
SSC JHT Exam Centres
The exam of SSC Junior Hindi Translator was conducted in more than 100 cities. While filling the application form, candidates are required to indicate three SSC JHT exam centres as per their preferences. SSC reserves the right to allot exam centres to candidates. The address of the exam centres is mentioned on the admit card.

SSC JHT Exam Pattern 2023
SSC JHT exam pattern is divided into Paper 1 and 2. Paper 1 is conducted in online mode while Paper 2 is held offline. Paper 1 carries objective type questions from General English and Hindi. The test paper of Paper 1 carries 100 questions and 100 marks. The Paper 2 carries descriptive type questions from Translation and Essay. Total marks allotted to the Paper 2 is 200. Candidates qualifying both the papers are called for document verification.
