The eligibility criteria for Law programmes vary depending on the course-level. Given below is the basic eligibility criteria that candidates need to fulfill for admission to UG and PG Law courses.

UG Law Courses Eligibility (Integrated-LLB)

  • Candidates must pass Class 12 in any stream with minimum 45 per cent aggregate
  • There is no age bar

UG Law Courses Eligibility (LLB)

  • Candidates must clear graduation in any stream with minimum 45-50 per cent aggregate
  • There is no age bar

PG Law Courses Eligibility (LLM)

  • Candidates must possess an LLB degree

Popular Exams Accepted by Best Law Colleges in India

  • CLAT: The national-level Common Law Admission Test (or CLAT) is conducted by the Consortium of NLUs for admission to 5-year integrated LLB (UG) and one-year LLM (PG) courses. All the seats of NLUs will be filled on the basis of CLAT 2023 reservation criteria as defined by the consortium.
  • CUET: CUET stands for Central University Entrance Test. It is an all-India level entrance exam conducted by NTA for admission in UG courses offered in all the participating institutions. The exam is conducted in a computer-based mode for two hours. Originally CUCET was conducted by UGC in paper-pencil-based mode.
