NIFT Admit Card 2025: DATE, Hall Ticket Link, Exam Center Reporting Time, Fixing Discrepancy

The admit card for the NIFT 2025 exam has to be downloaded online from the NTA NIFT admission portal - exams.nta.ac.in/NIFT. In.

Note that hard copies of the admit card will not be sent to the candidate.

So, the candidate needs to log-in to the admit card download portal using their log-in details and download the admit card pdf. After downloading the admit card, the candidate needs to take a printout. On the day of the exam, the candidate will have to display the admit card along with a valid photo id proof in the original. No candidate will be allowed inside the exam venue without the admit card.

Also, note that digital copies of the admit card will not be accepted.

Admit cards for the written exams will be released tentativley in the 1st week of February 2025.

Note that the advanced city intimation slip for NIFT 2025 was released earlier.

The admit card will be released online at the admission portal of NTA NIFT - nift.ntaonline.in. To download the admit card, you need to log in using your application number and date of birth.

The NIFT 2025 admit card will be released separately for the written exams and the Situation Test/ Personal Interview.

The admit cards for the Situation Test/ Personal Interview will be released later, around April 2025.

The written tests for the NIFT 2025 exam will be held tentatively in the 1st week of February 2025. The detailed schedule will be released at the time of release of the application form (sometime in December 2024).

The written tests will comprise a General Ability Test (GAT) and a Creative Ability Test (CAT). GAT is mandatory for all candidates, but CAT is only required for B. Des and M. Des candidates. 

The GAT test will be considered in a computer-based mode, whereas the CAT will be offline based. Note that scores of the written exams will be used to shortlist candidates for a Situation Test/ Personal Interview.

NIFT admit card 2025 is a mandatory document to appear in the design entrance exam. Candidates need to positively carry their valid admit card for NIFT Entrance Exam to their test centre, otherwise they will not be allowed to appear for the design entrance exam. Note that the security personnel at the exam centre will check the documents carried by the candidate, including the admit and photo id cards. In fact, the candidate must safely preserve the admit card until the admission process is over. It is because the candidate may be asked to produce the admit card during the counseing and seat-allotment process.

The reporting time for NIFT 2025 entrance exam will be mentioned on the admit card issued to candidates. Typically, the candidate needs to reort at the exam center 30 miniute before the exam commences.

Please note that entry to the NIFT 2024 exam centre will be closed 30 minutes before the commencement of the exam. 

The online application form for NIFT 2025 will OPEN tentatively in the 1st week of December 2024.

The application will be available online at niftadmissions.in. The NTA will also release the detailed admission notification, including the eligibility criteria and information brochure.

The candidate will also have the option to apply with a late fee.

Candidates who met the precribed eligibility criteria for their programme can fill out the NIFT 2025 application form before the last date.

Note that NIFT application form will be for admission to the B. Des, M.Des B.FTech M.FTech and MFM courses offered by participating colleges.

The NIFT exam is among the competitive and is also considered among the toughest. So, it is recommended that the candidate starts their exam preparation well in advance, say with around 1 years time in hand. Note that the NIFT exam has various components like written exam and Situation Test /Personal Interview. Candidates seeking admission to the B. Des and M.Des courses need to prepare for both the CAT and GAT. The CAT is a drawing-based exam, meaning the candidate will be evaluated on parameters like intuitive ability, power of observation in concept development, and design ability. Now unless the candidate is already well-versed, developing these skills will take time. So, it is prudent to start early. The same goes for the GAT.

While there is no shortcut to success, it is always possible to achieve more by being smart and making judicious use of ones time. 

Here are some useful tips that will help you prepare for NIFT 2025 exam. 

1. At the outset, quickly go through the NIFT 2025 exam pattern and syllabus. Make sure that you follow the official syllabus and pattern when preparing for the exam.
2. You need to take note if there are any new topics that are being added. Also, check if any old topics are dropped.
3. Ensure you follow only the updated syllabus.
4. Next, get hold of best books that cover the entire syllabus.
5. Make a time table taking into account the difficulty level of each topic and also weightage carried by them.
6. Take notes during study; these notes will come in very handy closer to the exam when you need to do quick revisions.
7. Solve sample papers and previous years question papers.
8. Take mock tests.

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) may or may not conduct mock tests. So, the candidate can take mock tests conducted by coaching institutes or by online outlets to practice for the exam. Typically, the more mock tests a candidate takes, better it is from an exam point of view. That being said, mock tests are usually taken closer to the exam to give finishing touches to ones preparation. For instance, by taking mock tests, the candidate will learn to hone ones time management skills, along with improving problem-solving skills. Note that the candidate must solve sample papers and previous years NIFT question papers, along with taking mock tests, to effectively prepare for the exam.

Along with NIFT 2025 admit card, you must bring with you a valid photo ID proof. The photo ID proof can be any of the following documents Aadhaar Card, Passport, Driving License, School or College ID Card or Voter ID. Candidates who fail to bring the mandatory documents will not be allowed to take the exam. Note that the candidate is also recommended to carefully go through the guidelines mentioned on the NIFT 2025 admit card. This will help the candidate stay out of trouble on exam day. For instance, the admit card will contain guidelines on what items to carry and not to carry to the exam center.

The details of the allotted exam centre will be mentioned on the NIFT admit card. For instance, the NIFT 2025 admit card will contain the name and address of the exam. In addition, the admit card will also contain the timings of the exam, and at time the candidate needs to report to the NIFT exam centre. Note that once the exam commences, no candidate will be allowed inside the exam hall. So, it is recommended that the candidate reaches the exam centre at least an hour in advance. It is important that the candidate downloads the NIFT admit card as soon as it is released and goes through it carefully. This will ensure the candidate has a smooth exam-day experience by staying out of trouble.

The NIFT 2025 admit card for the Situation Test will be released around the 3rd week of March 2025. Meanwhile, admit cards for the Personal Interview will be released around the 3rd week of March 2025. Admit cards will be released to shortlisted candidates who had completed the slot booking/ campus selection process. The National Institute of Fashion Technology will release the slot booking schedule soon after the declaration of results for the NIFT 2024 written exams. All candidates who get shortlisted can book their slots. To download the admit card, the candidate will have to go to the NIFT admission portal, click on the admit card download link, and log in using their candidate log-in details.

The NIFT 2025 will not be sent to the candidate by email or post. Instead, the candidate has to download the admit card from the admission portal of the National Institute of Fashion technology. To download the admit card, click on the admit card download link and log-in by entering your log-in credentials. The candidate needs to take a printout of the admit card after downloading it. Note that on the day of the exam, the candidate will need a photo id proof to go with the admit card. Without admit cards, the candidate will not be allowed to sit in the NIFT 2025 exam.

If there are any discrepancies, the candidate must contact exam officials and get them rectified.

The candidate must check all the details carefully after downloading the NIFT admit card 2025. This includes checking the spelling of your name, the date and timings of the exam, name and address of the allotted exam centre, etc. In case there are any discrepancies, like your name is wrongly spelled, you must contact exam officials immediately.
