Communication Studies is the study of the way we communicate with different audiences/users and communities. Human communication takes place in different contexts and is social, political and media based. Communication Studies involve the creation, delivery and receiving of messages, both verbal and non-verbal. It is actually an interdisciplinary subject, encompassing many sub fields, such as- popular communication, science communication, health communication, political communication, journalism and the philosophy of communication etc.
