BPEd: Eligibility Criteria
Depending on the duration of the course as well as the policy of a university/ college, the eligibility criteria for BPEd varies. Given below is a generic BPEd eligibility criteria for 3-4 year as well as 1-2 year duration Bachelor of Physical Education course.
3-4 Year Duration BPEd Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates should clear Class XII in any stream from a recognised board
- Candidates should score a minimum percentage in Class XII (usually 45% - 60%) as stipulated by the university/ college in which they are seeking admission
- Preference at the time of admissions is given to candidates who have played some sport at school level or had physical education subject in Class XII
- Candidates should be minimum 17 or more years in age
1-2 Year Duration BPEd Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates should clear graduation from a recognised university/ college with a minimum percentage (usually 50% - 60%)
- Preference for admission is given to candidates who have studied Physical Education during graduation or have played sports at college level
- Candidates should be 19 – 25 years in age
- Both men and women are eligible for the course. However, in some institutes married women are not eligible for the course

The two-year degree course is also available for the candidates who finished bachelor level degree with minimum 45-50% marks.
