DRDO CEPTAM 2022: Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has cancelled DRDO CEPTAM 2022 recruitment for MTS post. The official notice reads, "It is hereby informed that the further processing of recruitment against DRDO Entry Test: 2019-20/MTS announced in December 2019 stands cancelled." A total of 1817 vacancies of Multi Tasking Staff (MTS), General Central Service Group ‘C’, Non-Gazetted, Ministerial Post was to be filled up through DRDO CEPTAM exam. The reason for cancellation of DRDO CEPTAM 2022 recruitment has not been given by DRDO. 

What is CEPTAM?

DRDO CEPTAM is conducted by the Centre for Personnel Talent Management (CEPTAM) of Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO). CEPTAM conducts the exam for recruitment of Technical, Administrative & Allied category non-gazetted personnel. CEPTAM is a corporate body of DRDO established as Personnel Assessment Centre (PEACE) to cater to DRTC Cadre (Technical Staff) of DRDO. The centre is responsible for the recruitment of Technical, Administrative & Allied category staff, assessment and facilitates training for this cadre.

DRDO CEPTAM Eligibility Criteria 2022

To be eligible for DRDO CEPTAM, candidates need to fulfil the following eligibility criteria in terms of educational qualification and age limit. The eligibility criteria are different for different posts. The post-wise DRDO CEPTAM eligibility criteria are given below:

Age limit: Candidate must be between 18 and 27 Years of age. The age is relaxed for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/ESM/PWD/widows/divorced women/women judicially separated from their husbands who are not remarried).

DRDO CEPTAM Exam Centres

The examination authority prescribes DRDO CEPTAM exam centres for Tier 1 and 2 exam. Candidates can choose any three cities from the list of exam centres in order of their preference for Tier 1 exam. Once the candidates exercise the option of exam centres, it is treated as final and cannot be changed. The examination authority reserves the right to add/delete any exam centre and allot candidates to a centre other than the one chosen by them. Candidates are not required to choose DRDO CEPTAM exam centre for Tier 2 (Trade Test). The exam cities for Tier 2 are decided based on the operational requirement. 

DRDO CEPTAM Syllabus

The first and foremost step towards preparation is understanding the DRDO CEPTAM syllabus. The syllabus comprises topics under different sections such as Quantitative ability/aptitude, General intelligence & Reasoning ability, General awareness, General Science, Arithmetic & Numerical Ability, etc. The syllabus of DRDO CEPTAM is of Class 10 and 12 standards. The question paper is framed based on the syllabus.

DRDO CEPTAM Exam Pattern

DRDO CEPTAM pattern is different for different tiers and posts. The pattern highlights the overall structure of the exam such as marking scheme, number of sections, total marks, and duration of the exam. DRDO CEPTAM MTS exam pattern is divided into two tiers: I and II. Both the tiers will be conducted in computer-based mode and comprise objective-type multiple-choice questions. DRDO CEPTAM exam pattern for A&A post is divided into two tiers: I and II. Tier-I is a computer-based test while tier-II is a trade/skill/physical fitness and capability test as per the post. DRDO CEPTAM exam pattern for Tech A post is divided into tiers. Tier-I exam is conducted in computer-based mode. The question paper is divided into two sections: A and B. Part A of the question paper comprises questions from Quantitative Ability/Aptitude, General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability, General Awareness, English Language (basic knowledge), General Science. Section B comprises questions specific to trade/discipline as per the post-code. Trade test is of ITI level in the related trade.

DRDO CEPTAM Cutoff 2022

 DRDO CEPTAM cut off 2022 will be released separately for each category and post. On the basis of DRDO CEPTAM final cut off, candidates are provisionally shortlisted for  appointment. The qualifying cutoff for UR/OBC/EWS is 40 per cent while it is 35 for SC/ST.

DRDO CEPTAM Salary

The post-wise salary break-up of DRDO CEPTAM is given below.

Posts Pay Scale

Senior Technical Assistant ‘B’ (STA B)

Level 6 as per seventh CPC pay matrix and other benefits. The salary is approximately INR 50,000 per month, including the allowances in class ’X’ cities

Technician ‘A’

The approximate salary for this post is INR 28,000 including in class ‘X’ cities. Candidates are appointed in level 2 of seventh CPC pay matrix.

A&A 

All posts: The salary ranges between INR 19,900 and 63,200

Stenographer Grade-II: INR 25,500 to 81,100 as per seventh CPC Pay matrix

MTS

The selected candidates draw a salary in the pay matrix Level-1. The salary is INR 18,000 to 56,900 as per the seventh CPC 

DRDO CEPTAM Exam Day Guidelines

The exam day guidelines for DRDO CEPTAM are given below:

  • Candidates must carry their DRDO CEPTAM 2021 admit card to the exam centre
  • Along with the admit card, candidates are also required to carry one photo-identity proof
  • Candidates should reach the exam centre timely to avoid any last-minute hassle
  • Items such as mobile phones, calculators or any other electronic devices are prohibited inside the exam centre
  • Textbooks, pen, pencil, sheets for rough work or any other stationeries are not allowed inside the exam centre
