The University Grants Commission (UGC) has recently approved a proposal to allow students to pursue two degree programs at the same time. This is a move to improve the career prospects of students and to allow them to gain more knowledge and skills.
One of the degrees that a student can pursue must be in the regular mode, while the other can be in open and distance learning (ODL) or online format. A student can pursue two degrees in different streams, as well as from different institutions. They can also opt for the same institution, provided it offers multiple modes of learning.
However, it is important to note that not all institutions offer ODL or online programs. MCE - Meenakshi College of Engineering does not offer any courses in these formats. Therefore, it is not possible for a student to join two programs of MCE - Meenakshi College of Engineering at the same time.
There are a few reasons why a student might want to pursue two degree programs at the same time. One reason is to gain more knowledge and skills in a particular field. For example, a student might want to pursue a degree in engineering and a degree in business. This would give them the knowledge and skills to be successful in both fields.
Another reason why a student might want to pursue two degree programs at the same time is to improve their career prospects. By having two degrees, a student will be more marketable to employers. This is because employers are looking for employees who have a wide range of knowledge and skills.
Finally, some students might want to pursue two degree programs at the same time because they are passionate about learning. They enjoy learning new things and they want to continue their education.
If you are considering pursuing two degree programs at the same time, it is important to weigh the pros and cons carefully. It is also important to make sure that you are able to handle the workload. Pursuing two degree programs can be challenging, but it can also be rewarding.
Here are some of the pros and cons of pursuing two degree programs at the same time:
Pros
Gain more knowledge and skills
Improve career prospects
Be more marketable to employers
Continue education and learn new things
Cons
Can be challenging
Requires a lot of time and effort
May be expensive
May not be possible to complete both programs in a timely manner
If you are considering pursuing two degree programs at the same time, I encourage you to do your research and talk to your academic advisor. They can help you make the best decision for your future.

2) If you miss an internal exam without any valid reason then it depends on your faculty or course coordinator he/she may or may not provide you any chance. I would like to add that in most of the cases you will be awarded 0 marks if you don't have any valid reason for missing the internal. So it is advised that you shouldn't miss your internal.
