No, cut offs of XAT participating colleges are different from each other. These colleges fix cut off percentiles for admission individually basis certain criteria determined by their respective admission cells. XAT cut off for XIMB is different from XAT cut off for TAPMI. However, since GK marks are not to be included in XAT score and percentile calculation, the total marks have to be calculated from VALR, DM and QADI sections. So, for every correct option, candidate can give themselve 1 mark and for every incorrect option they need to subtract 0.25 marks. Further, for 8 consecutive unanswered questions, they need to subtract 0.10 marks. The final number arrived at will be XAT raw score.

The XLRI waitlist movement is usually high for Delhi campus between 350 to 600 spots. For Jamshedpur the movement is low between 100 to 180 for BM and 130 to 230 for HRM.

Eligibility criteria for XAT 2018: Recognized Bachelor's degree of minimum three years duration or equivalent in any discipline. During admissions in college, weight for academic and work experience is 5%, essay, and GK-10%, XAT scores - 65% and GD/PI-20%.

Candidates can apply for XLRI Delhi's Business Management programme on the official website by selecting the course and campus option while filling the XAT application form which is released in the first week of August every year. If they do not mention XLRI Delhi has their preferred exam in the XAT application form, they will not be eligible for admission to the institute. They must have however, completed their graduation from a recognised university only. XLRI selects candidates for its MBA full time programme through XAT score. Those who qualify the exam and meet the minimum cut off, are shortlisted for Essay Writing and Personal Interview. Final selection is made on the basis of candidate's XAT score, academic score, work experience and performance in Essay Writing and Personal Interview.

XAT result cum scorecard is released in online mode and can be downloaded from the official website only. The exam is held in the first week of January every year and the result is announced in the last week of same month. The result download link is activated at the XATonline as well as XLRI Jamshedpur website. To download the XAT result cum scorecard, candidates are required to follow the below given steps.

The general eligibility criteria to get MBA admission to XAT colleges in India are listed below:

XAT Dos

• Carry a ballpoint pen, two copies of admit card, photo ID and a passport size photo.
• Be present at the XAT exam centre as per reporting time.
• Wear simple outfits without pockets.
• Submit a copy of XAT admit card and rough sheets before leaving the test lab.

XAT Don’ts

• Don’t carry paper, notebook, book or such items.
• Don’t carry electronic items such as mobile phones, pager, watch, ipad and calculator.
• Don’t carry eatables inside the exam venue (allowed for diabetic students with permission).
• Don’t reach late. Gates will be closed 30 minutes before the commencement of exam.
• Don’t wear jewellery or any metal accessory.
• Don’t leave the test lab before time or without permission.
