For any institute to be good, it should follow a contemporary and relevant curriculum, the course should be delivered by competent faculty, the peer group should be strong and the institute should be able to generate good career opportunities for its students. I would share some relevant details about Praxis, and basis that you need to evaluate if it makes sense to study at Praxis or not. Curriculum
At Praxis you are offered subjects from the functional areas of Marketing, Finance, Operations, IT & Systems and HR. Over and above these, you would have the option to focus on concentration areas in high growth areas like:
Business Analytics
Customer Insight and Market Intelligence
Digital Business Management
Risk & Treasury
Banking, Investments and Project Financing
The curriculum being contemporary, helps you convert companies during the campus recruitment and start your career in high growth areas.
Faculty
The one thing Praxis is surely known for, is the quality of the faculty team. Praxis faculty members have themselves studied at premier institutes like IIT, IIMs and international universities and have worked in the corporate in leadership roles like partner/global delivery centre head/ country/director in companies like PwC, IBM, HP, IMRB, Tata Steel, TCS, Akamai, etc. Praxis faculty members also teach at institutes like IIM Calcutta, IIM Lucknow, IIM Shillong, IIM Ranchi, IIM Udaipur, IIM Raipur, XLRI, XIM, GIM and other premier institutes. Programme Director for the analytics programme, Dr. Prithwis Mukherjee is considered one of the top 10 academicians in India peer group.
The institute is based out of Kolkata and is a residential programme. Thus, Praxis draws to itself students from across India. The batch is a healthy mix of Engineers, commerce, Science, and Humanities students. Majority of the students have work experience of less then 2 years. The batch size being 60, ensures that the student community is close-knit and superior personal growth.
Placement:
Campus placements and the subsequent performance of alumni in the industry are the true evidence of the quality of learning at the institute. Praxis alumni are performing with merit in senior positions, in sought after companies. Praxis has been able to generate high quality jobs for well over 90% of its students across the batches consistently. The average salary is around 7.07 LPA for the batch of 2018. Though the batch size is small, the companies are from diverse domains.

Hi Samrat,
If you check the past records of our placements, we have always performed well. If the college has 60 students, 55 of them should get placed.

Both are good. One can opt for analytics as specialization in the 2nd year of PGPBM. Analytics involves statistics and programming. One has to be good at it. For directly into PGPBA, I want to know about your work experience?
